Just got done doing an all night The Evil Within binge. Got the under 5 hour trophy by 5 mins, I was at 4:55 with 12 deaths.

now im gonna grind out the rest of the upgrades and im all good ;)

 
Hey Shadow of Mordor people, Best Buy has it on sale this week for $50. Go get your post purchase price match if you can. This game just keeps on giving.

 
I am gettin annoyed by Evil Within now. For every step u take there has to be at least one boss fight every single time. Ughhh, Mikami pls

 
Binding of Isaac: Rebirth is free next month on PS+. I'd say we could use that for the monthly challenge, but yearly challenge would probably be more appropriate.

A couple of BS drops today in Destiny.  Both in my favor so I will take them.  Playing Control on Blind watch.  Two campers down by C on top of small buildings or towers.  Forced one off the map and killed the other (two kills but not a double).  Got a Mote of Light.

Last game on Control (Firebase Delphi).  I ended up putting the controller down to get a drink.  Looked like it was another unbalanced slaughter.  The only decent player on our team the previous game was now on the opposing team.  Figured I would stick it out long enough to get my 2 marks.

Anyway come back to the game and there is 3 mins left and we are like 600 points down.  We ended up winning the mach.  Got a few kills and I think the last of the match.  Got a purple weapon engram.  Turned into a legendary scout rifle which I already have one of so I will store it for another character.   

They really should make it so either score or K/D factors in at least somewhat to the drops.

Excusing them? I just don't care. It is pretty interesting to see devs finally lashing out at the internet criticism though. This whole fappery over which console is kicking the other's ass and which one caused a developer to downscale a game is pretty stupid and it seems like it's 1/3 of what constitutes video game news lately. But I'm a grown ass adult, so maybe I just don't get it.
 
For those of you Destiny players that don't know, don't dismantle any legendary/exotic gear you have without putting the max XP into it first. You don't have to use glimmer and shards to actually fill in the nodes, but if you put XP into and make all the nodes available, you get more upgrade materials when you dismantle. I used to get 3 shards dismantling a piece of legendary equipment, and now I get 5, sometimes 6 when I just wait a little bit.

Nah, all it says is "Found in a randomly generated coffin in one of the game's four main worlds. These coffins are quite rare, so it may take a while to find this. To unlock the character, break open the coffin with your whip."

 
Wow so chapter 11 in Evil WIthin is one long ass chapter. Been like 2-3 hrs on this chapter. I think this game might be too long and repetitive. 7/10 snakeys

YMMV as far as how much of a pain it is. Also depends on how you paid. My only experience doing it was Wolfenstein which I bought online. CS rep said they had to submit a claim or something and I ended up getting my money a few weeks later. Others got it instantly. I preordered SoM in store do I'm thinking this will go smoother (my BBY people are pretty competent). The only complication is that I still haven't gotten my reward cert, so when I inevitably have to call in a few days to gave it issued I don't know if they are going to give me trouble about the PM (they shouldn't since its allowed, they just have a lot of idiots working the phones).

Huh, I can't seem to find it anywhere either, maybe I was mistaken although I'm sure I only checked for one per world. Maybe I just assumed the first one listed went with the first world, etc.

If they used score or K/D ratio for drops than I'd never be able to get all the good gear. I hope they never make this happen with a update.

You could also send a PM to one of the forum mods (except Aaron) at forums.bestbuy.com in the GCU section, as several people have reported getting their post-purchase PM credit that way, and those mods (excluding Aaron, who is known to provide wrong answers that contradict BBY policy) should know what's up.

Not mad at you for feeling that way, but I hate that shit. Rewarding poor performance? But therein lies one of the fundamental conundrums with the game. Trying to appeal to casual players while keeping the more invested engaged. That's why I don't feel bad about the cheesing and exploits.

 
so hopefully the $40 for evil within holds for a week. I still have 5 chapters left and apparently at least one is wicked long. I'm not so deluded to think that I'll have time to do any of the additional run through trophies, but I would like to at least finish my no upgrades survival playthrough and maybe head back for the missed chapter specific trophies just to have that part of the list nice and tidy.

it's a bummer you didn't like it tyler, it really has redeemed itself at this point in my mind. not sure why they felt the need to fuck up those first few chapters. everything from chapter 4 or 5 on has been real decent and the story has gotten adequately ridiculous. there's even puzzles that make re4's look sophisticated like:
...putting needles in surgical head models to unlock a door in a house.

I expect nothing short of absurd and awesome for the final boss fight, whatever it is.

I think it should be a factor not the only one.

I don't have a great K/D ratio but at least make an effort to help my team (I play Control mostly) with the objective and frequently get some decent scores.

Ridiculous on games I score 4000-5000+ points and a positive K/D ratio I get nothing. On a game I almost didn't even play and wasn't even at the controller I get a purple Engram.

vig, I can't get over your pix the cat acumen. the 2 mil on main arcade? ok, I can see that on insanely good run. my high is 1.6m and that was after wiping out into a spiky ball, so not doing that probably would've gotten me closer to 1.7m. but DESSERT IS EVIL. not sure what depth you have to hang on until to reach 1.5m, but with a high score in the 200k range I don't think I can do it.

I feel it should be the opposite of the NBA draft system. The better you do, the more chances you have at something sweet but the people at the bottom still have their chance of getting something as well.
 
After playing Minecraft Vita the last couple of days and having a pretty cool world setup with a lot of supplies something apparently when wrong when I exited and saved.  My seed changed to 0 and I lost everything I had done.  The map of course was not even the same anymore when I went back in.  That is one really shitty bug.  

I guess Ill play something else for a while now because I am so disgusted thinking about the game at the moment.

My highest score on Control is 1200 so I like the randomness of items. Don't feel bad cause I usually don't get shit when the match is over.

while I have no idea what 'seed changed to 0' means it sounds turrible. do you at least have a ps+ save to roll back to?
