Another fast food restaurant in my area is going to do remodeling because the parent company is willing to reimburse a percentage of the franchise fees they have paid every year if they will remodel the exterior to the new style, but only if the project gets underway before the end of the year. He has been a franchise owner enough years that it will be almost completely paid by the reimbursemed franchise fees. Perhaps Taco Bell is offering their franchisees a similar deal.

I'm not vig, but my experience is that it takes about a week and you get an egift card via email (that works just fine in store too with a little barcode and everything).
