We finished season 2 of The Wire last night. Definitely not as good as season 1, but it did get better near the end. One thing I've noticed more, though, is how there is some acting that isn't really very good. I think some of these actors must not be trained actors. It's especially noticeable when the team jokes with each other. Those scenes feel pretty phony. But other acting is good.

The Legend of Korra: The Game reviews are trickling in, and...well...

Destructoid: 7/10

IGN: 4.2/10

Gamespot: 3/10

Ugh. :???:
Well that's depressing... was hoping platinum would be able to at least make combat worthwhile even if the storyline was shit. Definitely glad I ended up spending all my credit on the flash sale instead of the preorder for this one...

apparently playing this goddamn anime rhythm game has awakened something inside me. I'm now hunting for copies of j stars victory vs for vita. any suggestions on where to look and hopefully not pay $80?

Ha Zimm, my son was talking about you this morning. He was going on one of his usual Minecraft rants and mentioned you play it sometimes. Hes like, "Zimm108 person plays minecraft, and said he once hit you with a diamond sword and then had to shut it off. If he ever pulls this shit again, feel free to destroy his whole little land..I'll deal with the consequences.
Haha. I havnt played it lately, but my son has been playing create mode on my account a lot recently. So if you see I'm on playing the PS3 version, that's probably him. I have been meaning to go back and get more trophies and maybe the plat on it though. I remember a couple people from here have come into one of my games, but can't remember who. I'll do my best to destroy you if I see you on.

I thought about getting that game from the sale, but didn't. But I don't think any rhythm game is ever going to match Elite Beat Agents and the Japanese sequels. Those were awesome, and kind of hilarious.

I agree that those are awesome (I vastly prefer Ouendan 2 to the others), but Project Diva F/f is its own kind of awesome rhythm game.

Is there even a US version of that one? If not, there are a few copies on ebay for $50 with free shipping. They would be coming from Japan though.

So basically it seems like it was a game made under a tight time schedule and budget (resulting in a no-frills campaign and story) and those who suck at it, hate it.

edit:

Wait, this is a $15 downloadable? It sounds to me like they are scoring it as if it were a $40-60 retail release and not a budget title if they were expecting full animation and all the real voice actors.

That's why I think Destructoid might have the more accurate/fitting review here, despite the reviewer mislabeling Korra's animal companion as a "panda" when it's really a polar bear.

nope, but I think pancakes imported and loved it. it looks fun as hell and I'm certain it'll never make it stateside, but I don't expect it to be cheaper to import it than $50 for quite a while.

I do not think I have seen any Japanese imports for Vita cheaper than $50. Usually, they are not even that low.

I didn't import it, bought it off the Japanese PSN but yeah that is cheap. I think the Japanese PSN was like $90 even though it was split 4 ways.

Suprised it is that cheap. The game is really fun and even more is you love the Jump characters

Play Asia has it for $60.99. On sale. Ouch.
Play Asia seems to almost always be higher than ebay for imports. They also have a pretty bad reputation for stuff getting lost in transit lately based on posters on an import website I follow.

I have used them for foreign PSN cards. I am not sure I would buy a game from them after all I have read.

So Tyler, is it more helpful to upgrade max ammo or max HP first? I'm collecting the skulls as I go for upgrades but I feel like I have plenty of ammo most of the time. I didn't know if there were bosses down the line or new weapons introduced with more limited ammo that it is preferable to upgrade max ammo first or should I stick to HP.

I ordered stuff from them in the past a number of times and never had a problem, but it has been quite a while since I did so.

After the latest trailer for Call of Duty, I just preordered it to get the $10 cert and try it out, I mostly play the campaign but with Spacey and some of the other stuff it looks like the campaign may be really good! anyone else?

Playasia isn't that bad, I got my Gundam Breaker in one piece but I like using amazon (US) for my foreign buys.

I don't remember. I'm pretty sure I upgraded HP first. It's been 2.5 years since I played it though.

Why are you guys saying you feel sorry for pharm?

I'm tempted, but it depends on how soon I can get the plat for The Evil Within.

Kind of wish they did since all I play is the multi with a few friends.

Hell no... unless they are simply try multiplayer, Most hate those kind of trophies! I want it based on my skill and my skill alone, not also how good the other people are or if another person is better. I would rather just play by myself.

But they don't appear to be all single-player trophies:
