I think I got that map on the first try. If not the first then the second. Just being careful with the initiative is all that was required IIRC.

That was me that had it happen. Even with this, I wouldn't trust it. I would still suggest people turn off auto save and just manual save periodically. When you are done, do a manual save, wait for the chest in the corner to go away then do an exit without saving. With those, you should avoid the save corruption issues I had 2 different times.

Now I just wish I knew how to avoid it for Murdered Soul Suspect on the PS4. I have just decided to save to cloud and to a USB stick after every chapter. I almost got back to where I was before the save corruption last night. I have to redo the cemetery level to get back to the exact point.

fucking linking initiative. I tried using Geoff and Main shooter chick while reserving wizard dude and new shooter chick on my first turn, but then they get all link happy and slaughter my ass because they get like 23 turns in a row if I don't kill the first dude because second dude is fa fa away.
 
Far Cry 4 looks dumb. 3 looked dumb too, but I ended up playing it when the price was right. Same will probably be true here.

I disliked the cemetery level because of that damn section with all the demons by the tombs. Could not get stealthy enough the first 10 times or so.
 
Damn trying to get the trophy for completing a challenge without getting hit in Batman, it is tough playing through after Shadow of Mordor perfected the combat.  I keep getting surrounded and it won't break animations to counter and I get hit....  It is super annoying, I really need to use the jump method more but I am too impatient, will get it tonight.  Also started on hard difficulty, not too bad as long as I spam the jump button.  Any bosses that prove hard on the harder difficulty that I should know about?

It took me a while to realize on my first time playing on the PS3 that it was harder to kill them the closer you got to them. The R2 prompt just seemed like it did not want to pop up if you were right behind them. Once I realized being a bit further back worked better, things have gone a lot smoother. I blazed through that section last night, but like you, the first time when I played on PS3, it took me more tries than I want to admit until I saw there was a second crow you could get to by walking through that one crypt. That made it pretty easy. Otherwise, I pretty much always got spotted and had to do the bounce around hide nonsense.

I've been debating buying at release for a quick play and trade, but part of me also wants to wait for sub $20 like I did with FC3. Wish it were coming out a different time of year

Only time I had any issues with the camera was in the first level with those tight corridors. Besides that the cam has been fine for me.

Didn't someone say something about a rumor that the next Red Dead would be a Sony exclusive?

It would be funny to see all the comments if this San Andreas update ends up being 360 only, only to try and watch them all back peddle when Red Dead is made exclusive.

And before someone says it, yes I know that neither of those things are confirmed. It just came in my head as a potentially hilarious situation.

I want to... just don't have much extra after COD and GTA... hopefully they start doing this promotion more often, if I miss out, I miss out, I have another year of GCU still.

 
Zimm (or anyone else with Skylanders), I know you hate Walmart, but they have a few Swap Force characters on clearance online. Ordered lightcore Warnado for $5 and Riptide for $7. Or maybe it was the other way around, can't remember. Unfortunately the only swappable on clearance is already sold out (Boomjet).

Crap, just realized Riptide is in the bundle I bought. Maybe I'll grab a different one.

That post says the normal price for GCU is $100. Odd. :whistle2:k

I'm pretty damn tempted to pick up the game as my GCU entry, play it real quick, then return it before the end of the week for the credit. That'd be a pretty amazing deal but I doubt the TIV would go live before the trade bonus ends.

BTW I'm kinda bummed at the lackluster list in general. The trophies for the game are almost entirely stuff you'll get on a single run with very little deliberate effort required. Obvious exception being the online trophies, but if I remember Duke correctly the deaths come fast so that wouldn't take long either.

yeah, me neither. one of the psnation dudes was musing on the topic based on what very little he knows but it definitely was even less than a rumor. I wouldn't complain, but it would be silly for rockstar to avoid lining their pockets like that.

Understood. I was just a bit puzzled by your phrase "return it"; while you technically are "returning" that copy back to Best Buy via trade-in, I don't use the word "return" in that way.

Up to 23% in ACIV, at this rate I'll be done sometime next year. At least it's got it's hooks in me now. I think I'm nearing the end of Peace Walker
fighting the Peace Walker now, guessing it will have at least 3 forms.
as well. Guess I'll be ready for Ground Zeroes when my PS4 is free from AC.

they don't require it, I just think it'd be a lot easier to do the two toughies with a chum (finish the game in quarters mode and get to (the end of?) level 3 in Japanese highest difficulty). my first two tries for both trophies solo got me about 70% of the way there.

plus it's fun. I likes me some mindless beat em ups.
