I'm still confused as to why anybody thought PS4 suddenly meant every game would be 60FPS/1080P. Developers could have done that on PS3 if they wanted, but instead they opted for 30FPS/720P (or something close) so they could instead put more resources into the various effects, textures, physics, mechanics, AI, and all the other things that go into games. This was never going to change with the PS4, the only difference is developers now have more resources to work with and can thus decide if they would rather upgrade the frame rate/resolution or push their graphics/gameplay/ai/etc in other ways, which I personally feel is rather a lot more important than an arbitrary number that in many cases doesn't add much to the experience and a large amount of people don't even notice or care about the difference.Honestly its going to take me quite a bit of coaxing just to get me to that point this gen as unlike the other gens which felt like quantum leaps with each new step (not just in graphics but in gameplay and system features) this one just feels like an incremental improvement. I mean lots of game still at 30 FPS? That'd be like releasing a 4 x 3 only game for the PS3. One of the main reason we updated to a PS3 was for HD gaming and the reason we are upgrading to a PS4 is 60FPS+ and 1080P (IE. better performing than a PS3). It doesn't help matters that they still haven't implemented the promised suspend feature which would be a nice next gen feature upgrade.
