I suggest John Wick, if you can watch it. Took a chance on a Keanu movie (his high was The Matrix Trilogy) and I'm glad I did. Excellent movie and when I searched the Rotten Tomatoes, critics loved it too, to my surprise. I hope this sparks a revival of his career in a meaningful way.

TL;dr: John Wick 10/10 Vigs.
John Wick was quite good. I liked two of the other three movies referenced as well (PoP and Oblivion, both of which feature hot women. Yay for hot womens!)

Interstellar isn't doing anything for me. I hate it when movies have trailers don't show the basic premise or concept well. The trailer focuses almost entirely on the emotional aspect and the cool scenes aspect, but what it throws out for the actual premise seems retarded. From what I can tell, the planet is going apeshit and MM is supposed to find a new place to take humanity so we can escape there. Yeah, sorry, I don't see us moving more than a small handful anywhere based on what was shown in the trailer -- so the best I can see happening is ending on "Oh, we have a place to go!" but with no real follow-up on how a significant enough population will get there for the exercise to have any meaning.

There aren't other things you could do or errands you could run while in the vicinity of your closest Best Buy? If I wasn't already a GCU member, I'd consider this alone worth driving 20-30 miles.
I'll just be honest, I'm very lazy during my free time. On Thursdays and Fridays my wife works in the evenings and my kid is with my Mom for a little while when I get off, so I take advantage of that time and play some games. Maybe if it's still available this weekend I'll give it a shot. The Best Buy near me sucks though.

FYI, this will likely end on Saturday if it isn't killed off prematurely. Part of the reason I suggested that SIM card is that you shouldn't have to interact with any employees other than at the register. Bring the SIM and GCU signup cards with you to the front, have the employee enter your MyBestBuy information, hand over the SIM card, then hand over the GCU signup card, and pay the $6.99+tax total.

The only potential caveat is if you get a Jr. Detective employee that notices you getting a $99.99 subscription for free and gives you trouble, so you'll just have to hope that doesn't happen.

If anyone is still interested in getting 2 years of GCU for <$10, apparently this $6.99 SIM card also makes the $99.99 GCU subscription free, as long as you have everything scanned/entered in this order:

1. Your MyBestBuy/GCU account

2. SIM card

3. GCU signup card
Have a Best Buy near me, 10 minute drive. Already a GCU member until November 2016, worth extending 2 more years or nah?

I'm set through October 2018 and I still plan on attempting it later today to be secure through 2020. At $7 for a $99.99 subscription, why the heck not?

The Binding of Isaac seems pretty cool, but what is with the obsession with poop, etc? Did snakey design this game? Also I wish I had checked the controls before starting the game, because you can't once you start a run. The game doesn't give any info about what buttons to press to do what, which is strange. Like just have a little icon with the button or something next to items.

Well, now. Don't you $15 people feel dumb? The local Best Buy has these in stock. I guess I need to do this!

Is this a fucking joke?

15gb day one patch...wow.

Halo Development Director Frank O'Connor took to NeoGAF last month to discuss the Day One download, saying 343 intended to avoid shipping the game on more than one disc: "The game is designed to run as a single, unified product, digital is seamless obviously, but we also wanted disc users to have the same experience, without swapping discs."

WTF? Never heard of an install disc?

Bunch of wankers over there at 343...

It was supposed to be 20gb.

I'm not a big movie buff so I'm not overly critical of them, but I really enjoyed that Prince of Persia movie as well.
Haven't seen oblivion yet, but ya, John Carter and Prince of Persia are good, dumb fun. It's the same reason i like the Mummy remake and Congo from the late 90's.

I would never use the benefits as they are now anyway, so that is why it would have to be free :)
You wouldn't take advantage of 20% off new games? Really?

If you took advantage of the $7 deal, the GCU membership would pay for itself if you bought just one $59.99 game for $47.99 over the next two years. Then again, if you don't have a nearby Best Buy, I understand why you wouldn't go for it.

I guess I should give John Carter a try. The actor didn't do much for me as Gambit and then he was in the stupid Battleship movie around the same time as JC, so I just assumed it was trash.

DAMN IT!!!!  I made it to wave 25 on my own, was super easy, but died after I glitched and got stuck in a corner by the last two big guys....

I did the detroit method, and even not doing any of the tasks i was fine, just crouched by the door and shot guys as they came through.

I may need help from some people, I am for sure going to have a ton of gaming a week from Monday as the wife is officially heading out of town.  Vig?  You think by then you will be on AW and we can work on it since Stotch and everyone else have already gotten it?

Yeah, it's gonna suck. I'll essentially not be able to play it (well, online anyway) the first day I buy it since I won't be home with the physical disc until after 5. I thought I read the reason for it is that they filled the Blu Ray disc, which is slightly more forgivable than a massive day 1 patch that could have been added to the disc. But still, throwing in a second disk would have been the better way to go.

If you mean 11/17, then I should be able to. We'll have to work out exactly when we could work on it since my game-playing schedule can be a bit erratic, but otherwise I'll likely be playing AW's single-player by then.

I will pretty much be available each night after work till when ever.. took me 40 minutes to hit wave 25, so about an hour and a half to get to 50... Then hopefully someone has unlocked riot, then that's it

I'm free! It took forever to get the last unit of blood ordered and stuff but they finally discharged me after my count went up to 9!!! I feel a million times better. I've been so exhausted the past month and I feel energized and more like my old self again. I still have a long series of follow ups to make sure my levels are good, but it will be worth it. It feels good to be home.

Nope. I previously considered it, but I like meat. I don't eat a ton of red meat. That wasn't the cause though. But one doctor did recommend eating more of it so I'm going to continue to adjust my diet.
Me, Stotch, Munky, and others literally just saved Cleaner's life. Feels good to be a hero.

Damnit. I was fine letting the GCU deal go at $15, but $7 has me thinking awfully hard. Like Therm, I wouldn't get as much use not having a PS4, but the extra trade values and even one $20 game purchase makes up the cost.

Thanks for the warning. All I've read on Interstellar recently are reviews that call it "ho-hum" or with 7 or 8/10 ratings. I still plan on watching it at home once it releases on BR/DVD since I wouldn't be surprised if this is another case where I end up really enjoying a movie that critics didn't like so much (e.g., John Carter, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time, Oblivion).
Yeah, I'm very excited to watch John Wick when it releases on BR/DVD, as it definitely looks like my kind of thing. :bouncy:
Are you afraid to leave your house?
Nice. Pc version of Isaac had a save bug and I lost my progress. Good thing it was only 8 hours or so. Also I'm having issues syncing the ps4 and vita versions
I had the sync problem. I selected sync but it just gave an error message.

I just watched 48 minutes of you playing that Isaac game. How the hell do you now what all those items do?
Yeah, Binding has been ok so far but my biggest gripe is not knowing what most the shit does. Like crunchewy said, the game doesn't even tell you what buttons to press to use items and stuff.

I mean, eventually I guess I'll learn or just look it up. But I don't get why games do stuff like that. It's not like me not knowing what the unicorn horn thingy does makes the game any harder, just stupider because it didn't tell what to do with it. Maybe devs just want their hardcore fans to feel superior after they've played the game or something.

So Blood of the Werewolf is pretty cool.  I've got one more level and one more boss to fight before I beat it.  There are some mercilessly challenging parts that will take a lot of repeated attempts, but there are checkpoints aplenty so you never have to go too far to get back to where you died at.

Your last trophy has you at 20 of 125 quests. I'm guessing beating the game doesn't give you a whole lot of progress towards those. Is it good enough you'll be going for the other quests?

I'll go back for some of the quests but definitely not getting all 125. Quests are just in-game things you need to do. You get one for beating each level, then I've picked up a few more here and there. I haven't reviewed the whole Quest List yet but I will after I beat the game. There are quests like "Beat the game with a C rank/B rank/A rank" for each level that I know. I've only C-ranked everything so far. I'm sure A-ranking some of these levels would be quite the challenge. I'll review the list of quests more tonight after I beat the game. I know the game also has some type of Time Trials thing and Hoard Mode which I assume has quests tied to it as well, I doubt I'll do many of those.
