Haven't noticed any of the Unity issues with Rogue so far, btw. Framerate seems stable (from what I can tell) and I've not seen pop-in. Admittedly not that far in yet, though.

I'm beginning to think that my initial isaac run that I beat the game while waiting for my grrl to work out is the game trolling me. I havnt been able to beat it since and it is infuriating ;)

Yeah I was doing this for a while and kind of stopped. Did it with Watch Dogs and Infamous SS. Infamous SS was so short but enjoyable I didn't feel like I missed anything there (even got the platinum). I didn't finish all the paper trail stuff but wasn't really that interested in it anyway.

Watch Dogs I played for a few weeks and got about as far as I wanted. Maybe would have knocked out a few more trophies and messed around with the online stuff some more. But yeah other games you are really rushing though it to get it 'beat' and sold.

FC4 and GTA V are likely my last two full retail games of the year. FC4 I get the season pass or whatever so I would need to hold on to that to access that. And as long as I am enjoying GTA V there is way too much to do for me to quickly flip that.

I assume that bundle is the GTA + TLOU and 2 more games? It was hard to tell from the tiny picture. I had assumed that bundle would have more artwork for TLOU on the box instead of being one big GTA pic. However, it does look like there is a picture of TLOU game case down in the corner.

The only reason I could see that one possibly not being the best idea is based around what 2 other games are included. We always assume everything will eventually hit Plus which is pretty stupid, but if it is just a couple of Sony's launch titles you would think the likelihood would be greater for that to happen. Too bad the ad gives you no idea what the 2 games are.

Not bad, not bad. Really is a good time to buy a console if you've been on the fence (especially an X1...*gssp*). These honestly strike me as better deals than when I bought a PS3 In 2010 (nearly 4 years after launch). Not sure what to make of that.

Looks like I'm sticking with Best Buy (and hopefully Amazon) for any games purchases, though. And holy shit at the stores opening at 5 & 6 PM Thursday. Madness. Sympathies to any retail people here. :(

Eh, maybe next year when I can get a bundle + GC for $250 or so, and if there are games I'd need to play on it :)lol:). ~$330 + $30/$50 GC for an Xbone with one or two games is still too much at this point.

I'm guessing they'll do some type of list that you can choose from, and the games probably won't be very desirable for me. I'll check it out though and see what's available.

Not trying to be funny but what could they could possibly put on sale? Unless you meant the device itself. Guess I wouldn't mind picking up Danganrompa for cheap. Although I'd probably have to be in the right mood to even enjoy something like that.

Yeah I'd just like to see a sale on the device itself. I'd like to have one for remote play purposes.

I kind of expect Gamestop to have the Borderlands bundle with something else added (maybe a year of plus) for the current MSRP as a sale. I only say that because it seems like all the stores here restocked when it had been impossible to find for so long. As much as I love the device, I am not sure why else they would all get more in unless it was for some sort of special for the holidays. For the rest of the big box stores, it sadly is just not worth the ad space for BF.

I guess another possibility is some sort of deal on all the used ones they took in with that $50 bonus coupon recently.

Yeah, you have to admit that MS are bringing their A game for the holidays. Damn fine bundle prices plus and a pretty heavy marketing campaign (though I'm surprised at how few commercials I've seen for Master Chief collection compared to Sunset Overdrive.. that is a definite system seller).

I've said a few times that, in my mind anyway, MS definitely has the upper hand so far with AAA exclusives. I've enjoyed Sunset Overdrive, Titanfall, and even Ryse a lot more than Killzone, Infamous, and.. um, that might be it (Actually I sunk a decent amount of time into The Last of Us again, not sure whether that counts). Even on the horizon, I'm more excited about Quantum Break, Halo 5, Tomb Raider, and maybe Crackdown than I am for The Order, Bloodborne, and, um.. well there is Uncharted 4. I expect that will be great and I am excited for that.

The one area that Sony is just embarrassing MS, though, is the smallish Indie titles. There are tons of quality releases every week whereas the MS store has gone weeks without anything new. I know for a lot of people in this thread that is more important.

I've been a Sony guy since I was a kid and traded in my N64 for a PS1 at Funcoland. Bought a PS3 at launch for $600 and had next to nothing to play on it for a year. I am just disappointed in there slate of big console exclusives at the moment. I know they're coming, but I have to admit while I wait MS is delivering the goods on that front.

Oh and can't it be used as a second controller as well? May be easier for my kid to use. That would effectively bring the cost down even more.

It can be, but realize the lack of 2 sets of shoulder buttons can make it a problem for some games. When I have tried it, I had to use it as player 1 since the user on the Vita was my main account and it would not let you use it for a guest login to use just as another random player. I am not sure if I was just doing something wrong though.

Uncharted 4, No Man's Sky, BloodBorne, The order, Grim Fandango, and Let It Die to name a few are coming in 2015.

Then there are known PS4 exclusives being developed by Media Molecule, Gorilla Games, Another game at Naughty Dog(Uncharted remaster?), Quantic Dream's the Dark Sorcerer, A game being developed by Sony Santa Monica (New God of War?), and a New Gran Turismo.

Here is the difference between Sony and MS and why a lot of Sony fans know things will be fine; rather than throw money at every company to release timed exclusives(I.E. Tomb Raider), Sony has a ton of amazing first party studios that only develop Sony exclusives. We know one game will be announced at the PS experience, and then we have E3 again this year. We know for a fact all these developers have a PS4 game in the pipeline and it's just a matter of announcing said game. I think Sony learned not to show it's hand too soon due to the Last Guardian mishap.

Forgot about No Man's Sky. I'm hoping that's as awesome to play as it is to look at. Fingers crossed. The point I'm making is playing games right now is more fun than waiting for games. I was comparing the slate of announced games, not hypothetical ones that you assume will be good.

For the record, the Vita-2000 screen looks great to me. At least once you get past the initial period of it looking different, which it does. I don't even notice any more. It just looks good and it's got nice improvements in the controls, battery life, etc. I love that when my wife hijacks my Vita charger to charge her phone, I can plug it into whatever USB charger I have laying about.

My wife and I use to buy each other movies for Christmas, then we realized that we still had a large number of them sealed, decided not to buy movies at all anymore.

I'm toast. I had a perfectly good run going last night (run 2) and walked to the left to see 3 giant spiders...rather than playing my options or ya know go right I'm like nah fuck it I'm going straight through. Dumb.

briefly, but I didn't harp on it. initially it just felt like it wasn't as lush as the oled, but it's gotten to the point where it feels like the vita can only display this washed out set of four or five different colors and it gets obnoxious. that's obviously an exaggeration and certainly what I've been playing affects my opinion (project diva and tales have extremely similar color palettes for example).

there's a definite visual difference though, especially if you play it a bunch. it's not quite cassette tape vs CD in terms of quality difference, but the comparison fits for my purposes. additionally, while I understand that the battery should last longer on paper, it feels like I've run it down a lot easier than the oled model. all of the other physical benefits are definitely awesome and I'm still planning on importing a jp cradle (and the warranty refresh was worth it alone), but I miss my old 1000 no doubt.

Is it possible you've just been playing it more frequently and so it feels like you're running out of power faster?

I wouldn't play any of them with the possible exception of Beyond. However, it has long been rumored they are redoing it for PS4 anyway. My advice doesn't mean a hell of a lot though since all the rest of them are genres I do not care for (RPG, FPS, or stealth heavy titles).
