In Lego Marvel & Lego Movie game, you can switch characters independently of each other. A character grid just appears on their half of the screen, unless you both open it up, then it expands full screen. So you can be doing whatever and not get interrupted when your kid switches characters for the 4815162342 time. I hated having to wait when we went back to Batman 2 after playing Marvel.

As far as the Free Play levels, the characters that it randomly picks for you at the start can all be easily cycled through with L1/R1, so that way you don't have to wait for those to load either. They usually don't give you all the peeps you need to do all the free play stuff with those, so you'll have to wait a little for loading, but it definitely helps. You can also turn on a red brick to give you extra free play cycle spots in Batman 2.

I'll be that guy today. this sounds fuck ing stupid. what is the draw to an MMO where all you do is explore and find stuff? why does it even need the MMO part of it? you start off as a giant walking tree? does it have a trophy for sitting?

I totally get and embrace that every game does not have to be about fighting/killing/action. I love tetris. but why is it that every time I hear about an indie game that doesn't have fighting/killing/action it's some weird ass pigeon sex simulator or an mmo where the whole game is exploration or octodad?
 
I'll reserve judgement on Wander, but I did first think, much prettier Proteus.

I am excited about No Man's Sky even though, while it does have combat, it mostly sounds like it's about exploration. Maybe Wander will be cool once we get to try it. Preferably a PS+ freebie at launch, though.

Does anyone know if we've restarted the Spelunky competition yet?  I'm not sure if I'm supposed to play or not.  I'll be back at 6:59pm to see if anyone has answered my question.

Not sure how the best news from yesterday wasn't mentioned, but you can now download a trial of Destiny! Then if you decide to get the main game, your progress will transfer over!

If they transferred progress from the beta, I'd consider it again. And reject it, but at least I'd consider it.

I don't even use Facebook. I actually saw that it was his birthday from True Trophies. I had just seen that new Garfunkel and Oates video yesterday so I decided to post it. :)

Thanks homeslice. I've stopped writing on walls for everyone's birthday in the last year or so because of that. Of its a relative or person I normally talk to then yeah I will, but otherwise fuck that noise. They probably don't even notice my absense. Still surprised I still get so many from people I completly forgot were even on my friend list.

From what I understand, that information was wiped pretty quickly after the beta ended. Plus the progress you made in the beta is literally 1% of the progress you would make in the actual game. It would take you probably an hour to get back to that level.

There are also other events besides just racing. Marked Man in which you attempt to go from one spot on the map to another while other cars hunt and attempt to wreck you. Road Rage in which you hunt and attempt to wreck as many other cars as possible as they try to avoid you. Stunt run in which you have to exceed a certain stunt point value in a certain area of the map that is good for stunts.

This could sum up my whole time in the competition. Last night I had like 5 hearts and was doing just fine. Then I decide it's a good idea to push an explosives box....which I'd never do while playing alone. Blew myself up nicely. Lol.

Well there is your problem! Mushy cereal is disgusting! Which is another reason to divorce my wife as she likes it that way. Seriously. Cereal companies spend millions to try and make their cereal stay as crunchy for as long as possible in milk and my wife wants to let it sit and get mushy before she eats it. fuck ing GROSS.

I preordered FC4 and GTA at BB. I picked up FC4 and debating what to do with GTA. I think I am going to cancel it and wait for it to be cheaper. I really don't have time for it now anyway.
