Eh, I did and I half regret it but not enough to solidly advise against it.  You get a dragon skull throne and a couple mounts (an elf thingie and a "Bog Unicorn").  Is that worth five bucks to you?

Also you get some chests for the multiplayer mode, I believe.

I don't think it's worth $5 to me. I read you can find schematics for better weapons than these during the tutorial.

How do you like the game? I want it but I'm very hesitant. I've read over and over that it's not like Skyrim but to me a big part of the appeal is it looks like Skyrim.

I really want to get my hands on dat character creator.

That worked perfectly, thanks. Had to complete the entire process in Spanish but thanks to google translate it was pretty simple.

Hmm I have to download an English voice over pack DLC but it's free at least.

Hey wait a minute, they charged me the proper provincial tax of 13% for Ontario, but in US currency! It should be $1.50 cheaper. These assholes. They have me paying a conversion rate on my sales tax.

Oh yeah. FYI in case anyone's gonna start Dragon Age, I did some youtubing and the British female voice performance is so much better than the American one. At least from the parts I heard.

 
Yeah, we already know the prices during the Autumn Sale will likely be unimpressive, but there's something about watching the storefront flip that really gets me going. Looking for the glitches is definitely a part of it now, but I think there's also a visual component of seeing so many deals all at once. I might definitely have a problem.

Ya I just checked that and saw the autumn sale of last year did start on a Wednesday.

But that would make me think this years starts on the 26th. So isnt that screen shot posted still BS?

Edit - I did the time conversion and it works out to be the 26th, he is correct.

That's weird. My DA:I from Origin Mexico worked flawlessly... and in English.

Edit: I mean the game was voiced in English. The purchase was done in Spanish.

Their Steam page says it is free too! I wonder if they will put Goat Simulator on sale tomorrow as the daily deal. I missed out on the free keys but would buy the game at 50% off.

Maybe it downloaded the English voice pack for you automatically? I had to choose to download it from the additional content screen. It's considered a DLC. I didn't try playing the game without the pack, actually I haven't played the game at all yet.

It looks like Inquisition's default language matches that of your operating system. The pack is really only needed if you're playing on a non-English OS and want English voices.

Ah poop, I downloaded it for nothing? I'm not sure how large it was and I doubt I can uninstall it.

I think I found the files and they are 2.77GB. Not too confident about deleting them, I don't want to screw it up.

Ok I found a DLC installer log and renamed the files it installed, now it gives me the option in Origin to download the pack again. Success!

Even though it doesn't stack + you already got rid of it, when did that Fable Anniversary coupon expire?

I think it's because I initially installed the English pack but when I deleted those files Dragon Age just had no voices at all, not even grunts. Had to go rename the files back to their original names and then everything worked.

8 GB is enough for most people. 16 should be good for future proofing. 32 is overkill, especially at the price RAM goes for right now.

X79 mobos theoretically supports 64GB or 128GB (8 dimm versions). :p

(In reality only 32GB/64GB, since 16GB sticks are non-existent).

Unfortunately my previous motherboard did only support up to 4GB sticks, so I'm stuck with 4x4GB :(

Well it was joke, but:

Me. Granted I do stuff with virtualization and run server software, which is memory heavy.

I'd like to run without pagefile too, but that isn't simply possible. :p

BTW, Why a LOT of people is buying Rise of nations? I know it is a good game and 75%... but... is there any other reason?

I remember buying a hd4770 512MB thinking since the current consoles at the time (360/ps3) only had 512 I'd be good for the whole generation... I'm sure there's a lesson here somewhere.

Yes, well, you're not the average consumer. Very few people actually need that much RAM. Of course people who program stuff or work with VMs are going to need more RAM. :p
