not just that but could person A also be hoping that they get credit from supervisors for being proactive and doing what you are supposed to be doing? Just saying might be even worse then just pulling a committee...
Yes this is exactly what she's doing which is what pisses me off the most.

She is the biggest brown noser that I know around here. My favorite part is in meetings, someone makes a good point or suggestion like:

"I think we should focus more recruiting on the south end of the valley because the population is growing there much quicker than anywhere else in the city"

and she immediately vocally chimes in

"Yes, yes, I think the south end of the valley is really where we'll see the most success in our recruiting efforts."

just completely echoing the other person's idea as if it were her own.

Some of those Walmart PS4 games are back in stock, Watch Dogs, Evil Within, and Wolfenstein at $30 and Trap Team at $37. In case anyone cares.

Oops, forgot to take the 3 ties into account on the combined scores (which is the for-fun list, no worries the official lists are 100% correct, Crunch is all over that).

Anyways, Zimm, Kameleon, and Derextreme got an extra point on the combined lists.

Why I left my previous job... I was in an entry level data processing job, and they decided to hire A manager from another department. I knew immediately it would be bad for a manager to take a demotion. Sure enough she came in acted like she knew everything and my year and a half in the position didn't mean anything and she was gunning for the manager job in our department that I had been training for for 6 months... she was constantly stealing ideas and bringing them straight to our GM in stead of our direct manager so everyone would be screwed. Finally when some upper positions opened and the training was offered and they let her jump right in I knew that was it. Not to mention i found my exact same job at another company paying double, i left in a heart beat!

Hate people like that and always enjoy when I finally get a manager who knocks those people down a peg and calls them out.

I didn't have enough coins or motes (which ever it is) needed to buy the Suros the first time it was offered. I think it was offered a second time but I bought something else. I do want to get it eventually though.
I almost have the suros fully upgraded, really like it. I use the high caliber rounds perk on it and its pretty good in pve at making enemies stagger and not be able to fire. The upgrades on it basically make it a full auto scout rifle when zooming in.

I've gotten into a really bad habit at work. I put reminders of little things to do on my Outlook Calendar (marking myself as Free) just so I get a reminder about it later. This is great, but then I tend to hit snooze a lot on the reminders because they are pretty insignificant little jobs that need to be done at some point at the future.

Well now I've gotten into the habit of not paying attention to my Outlook calendar alerts that pop up because of all these little alerts. What happens is an important meeting pops in there and I completely ignore the alert for that meeting and end up being late.

Definitely gotta break out of this habit.
That's why I go low-tech and use yellow post it notes, you can't hit snooze on a post-it note.

The glue eventually wears out and the note falls.

Having just gotten $40 back on my PS TV bundle, I am quickly fearing for the day they start selling for about $50 or less. Gamestop has it at $99 with a $10 PSN card.

BTW I think I'm gonna pick up El Sheddai. Jerk.
I was working on this wall of text dump in the interim, enjoy.

First playthrough of El Shaddai done, currently I would peg it at a low 8. Art style stays beautiful throughout, I never ran into any bugs or framerate dips at all. 2D platforming segments were fairly challenging at times, but fair.

The area the IGN video review highlighted as an example of bad 3D platforming is because he made a poor weapon choice (usually before platforming segments the game will give you the chance to pick which of the 3 weapons you want to use). The gale (drone throwing weapon) has a mid-air dash (think DMC trickster dash) and the arch (staff weapon) lets you hover/glide after a jump for a few seconds if you hold the jump button instead of pressing and releasing it. Basically if you need a lengthy jump and the platforms are fairly large, you'll want the dash, but if platforms are small you'll want more control of your jumps and that's arch. The platforms were small and very close together but he was using the air dash and overshooting/missing the platforms.

There is only one level in which I would call the 3d platforming bullshit, and that is because of an artistic choice by the dev. In one level you have entered The Darkness (which is actually quite bright and colorful). Have you ever been in a parking lot and seen when relatively fresh motor oil has leaked from a car and into a puddle of water? It kind of looks like a bubble of a kaleidoscope of color on top of the water. Now imagine that effect smeared over your screen as a layer of film grain and that's what you have to platform through. It makes keeping track of your shadow (which is how you can tell where you will land on the platforms) more difficult than it needs to be.

The story gets kind of scattershot as it goes on so I suspect I will have to google a summary of the Books of Enoch to hopefully fill in some of the narrative gaps of WTF was happening other than the simple "me capture fallen angels."

Once you get access to the 3rd weapon early in the game nothing really changes in your arsenal other than a Rage of the Gods-esque hyper mode which you can periodically activate, so the rest of the game is about mastering the combo system and the guard and dodge mechanic. The enemies develop a few new tricks during the course of play, but nothing really substantial, mainly things are only changed up during the boss fights. Though by near the end of the game they start to run out of ideas, the last 2 bosses before the final boss only have 1 or 2 attacks so its all about alternating between dodging that one attack and getting a few strikes in over and over. The first of those two, the reprise of the pig boss, particularly feels like pretty blatant boss padding.

Combat is definitely a challenge on normal which really makes me think that IGN reviewer must have lowered the difficulty to easy. The basher weapon veil is either a dud weapon or I could never figure out how to use it. The attacks are slow, didn't really feel that much more damaging than arch attacks, and the one damaging combo in which you alternate punches about 20 times and finish with an epic punch is REALLY long and is only really effective when there is one enemy on the screen. If there is a second he will likely saunter up and punch you in the back, knocking you out of the combo before you can deliver the epic punch. Veil is helpful when playing defensively though as when you block it forms a shield that protects not only your front but the front portion of your left and right side (so like 140 degrees of a protection) and its guard can only be broken by strong boss attacks.

If you get all 6 of one type of collectible (the other collectable type that gives a trophy is like 13 or 14 pages) during your first playthrough you get access to a costume you can use in your second playthrough which makes you immune to damage for your 4th level difficulty level run so I'll probably at least do that run. I don't know if I'll be able to stomach the God Rank scoring requirement on each chapter on hard (you can't use the zero damage costume as it penalizes your score) I'll have to see how forgiving the scoring system is in the game, apparently how fast you complete the level does not factor in significantly to your score so that is helpful as I can't fuck ing stand being forced to rush things under a time limit in games.

I cant wait for Tyler to update his work story next week.  I can see it now.  He will be doing all the work and she will be updating management about how she pulled the data together and got a team started on the process.  Tyler is going to have an embolism.  It will be hilarious.

How important is a mic for boosting the Burnout Paradise 8 person thing?  I ask because I do not have another Batman Arkham Origins experience in me (and I dont mean simmias and me not hearing each other even though we had mics).

Why does most of my Vita backlog have to consist of 30+ hour plats?

Tales of Hearts R

Danganronpa 2

HDN Re;Birth1

Freedom Wars

Ys: Memories of Celceta

Ninja Gaiden Sigma+

Muramasa Rebirth

Xblaze Code: Embryo

I'm up to 43 hours in OP: UWR and I can easily see the plat taking another 5-10 hours. I wish I could freeze time for a week. :wall:

I really should try to platinum games on the Vita, got more time for it there.

Also, on El Shaddai what is refreshing for a 3rd person melee game, no fuck ing QTEs! Once all your armor pieces are knocked off there is a little progressively harder mini-game where you have to mash any face buttons as fast as possible to stand back up and regen your armor before your eyes close (think punch out), but that's as close as you get to a QTE in that game.

Probably a third of my backlog is long games. That's going to make this 30 or so PS3 games I have left take a good while.

Man we love screwing ourselves really hard with backlogs....sometimes I wonder if it's a blessing or a curse. Seems to hurt more in between gens though.
I actually wonder if I'm going to prefer not having a backlog over having tons of games to choose from once I finally get to that point. We'll see. I just kinda miss the feeling of buying a game to play it.

That's why I alternate between long games and 1 or two short games, if all I play is short games to reduce the amount of games in my backlog then all I'll be left with is long games which I'll be too discouraged to play and then jump to the next gen leaving them unplayed.

That's what I've been trying to do, although the upcoming release of KH 2.5 will throw a bit of a wrench into those plans.

This is probably why I plan on platting Spy Hunter once I'm done with One Piece.

Well, I got all the armor I need for my titan to reach level 30 yesterday from Iron Banner and now during lunch I just did my Spelunky run and played about the first hour of Far Cry 4.  That's something for everyone.  Now we can all be happy!

So I should remove that one from the Q huh? Wait, I didn't even know you had a Vita.
I don't, but I don't think I'd have to play it to make that observation. I also remember Vig saying he didn't have time for mediocrity, and although I know review scores aren't everything, I certainly think a 51 Metacritic average would imply the game is mediocre at best.

I don't usually use Metacritic as a measure of a game's quality; I was more intrigued by the 4.5/5 average rating (~60 reviews) on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Spy-Hunter-PlayStation-Vita/dp/B0088MVOD4/ref=sr_1_1_twi_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1416595777&sr=1-1&keywords=spy+hunter
