Well where to begin. I have looked forward to this game since I bought my ps4 in February. I planned on downloading it from psn because I "knew" i was going to love it. Thank goodness for bestbuy store credit....
Here is my breakdown of the main issues I have with LBP3.
1. Online play is broken, painfully broken.
2. Many times the game freezes forcing a close app or worse hard power off/on
3. After freeze you may have to replay more than 1 entire level. This is really painful regarding the tutorial levels.
4. The few times multiplayer online is working why oh why do I get left behind or leave the other sack behind? We have our own tv's!
5. Adventure bugs that get us stuck and then rewind doesnt work to fix it.
6. Another no voice chat game. Texting is terrible its 2014 sony.

Apart from all this its also very difficult with no real learning curve. To often my little one needs to drop out so I can clear the level. The FIRST level. I hope it can be fixed. Soon.

I was excited for 3, too, until I read some review that said it was chock full of some of the worst bugs they'd seen in a retail product, including EA and Ubi games. Hopefully it gets patched up soon or maybe I'll just wait until next BF to buy it.

Online definitely needs fixing, I tried to play with 2 other friends and it was very hard with the lag and getting disconnected all the time. I've been playing couch coop though and havent run into too many problems outside of the poppit freeze bug, and there's voice and text chat in the game. Im having fun with it but they need to address these issues.

whats so great about it? as a platformer, its horrendous with terrible controls. as a creator, yeah some people can have fun with it, but most likely your level will get buried under 20,000 shit ones and hardly anyone will play it. plus if you make a good side scrolling stage, you still have to play it with those shitty controls. if you make a stage that isnt side scrolling, like you could in lbp2, anything you make is just a copy of another REAL game thats already out, so i dont see the point.

I never got the hate for the controls, I guess its floaty but it never bothered me. They definitely feel a bit tighter in LBP3 though. I agree that they're are a lot of shitty user created levels made, but there's lots of great originals to be found if you seach the team and community picks.

Dang, sucks that this game has those issues. Looks like it was rushed. And why the heck MediaMolecure didn't work on this instead of doing that Tearaway port?

the floatyness of it bothers the hell out of me. platforming demands tight controls and lbp doesnt have it. i mean, one of those last stages in the first one in the spinning wheel of death with all those electricity things was terrible. hell contra on the original nes had tighter controls. haha.

I believe they're working on something else along with the Tearaway port. We might see it at the PS Experience event this weekend.

I can understand why the floatyness would be a issue for some but it never bothered me, maybe I just adapted better to them then most people lol

 
^ I dont mind the "floaty" controls either, I think its part of LittleBigPlanets charm honestly. But the bugs in the new one are seriously ruining the experience for me and my friends. We decided to wait until a patch is released before continuing, I might even trade it in and pick it up later.

 
Sad...LBP has glitches as it's  normally solid.  I think it's time for some big changes on LBP.  I'd like to see it go from 2D to full 3D.  The game looks great, but I found myself not having any interest in the franchise.  

 
Is there a good place for news on this game? Looking for patch updates (hopefully!)and possibly an apology. I cannot open book 3 and am completely fed up with it.
 
Patch 1.03 is live and installed. I didn't see my actual issue addressed in the notes so i will see later tonight when I play.
 
I got it yesterday and played a bit of last night and I'd say it is pretty good so far. I'm not that far into it yet, but it definitely isn't bad by any means.

 
I've honestly really enjoyed what I've played so far.  I will say I tried playing online with someone on the couch as well, but it was tremendously broken.  I don't really care though, since anyone I would play the game with is in my household.

I like that a lot of the DLC from previous games works.  It's not much of a $60 release though, as it was more of an expansion in feel than anything over LBP2.

I was able to preorder at best buy and do a price adjustment to $39.99 since it was marked down, plus GCU.

^ The plush edition is a limited run. Its the same as the day one but you get the extras. And some reviews trashed it due to glitches, they have patched most of them but the online is still very laggy for me. Its still a good game and the best LBP I've played.

 
Very laggy for me last time I tried. It sucks since I like playing with other people but its impossible with the lag. Also get a lot of disconnects :(

 
Damn shame , it's a great try, like every Sony ps4 exclusive but missed the mark

It is, maybe buy it again in the future when its cheap and all the bugs are fixed since it really is a good game when it works. Its crazy how many broken games released this year.

 
I don't like it so far. It seems like more of the same except it's buggier than has a more annoying single player (I hate the hub layout for the levels and having to "find challenges").

 
Only thing Idk is whether trade it now for $33 or u think it'll increase in TIV cuz far cry 4 jumped 50% today and I almost traded yesterday

So u think lbp will get a bonus or just recoup my money? Which I'm fine with
