I was a little frustrated with mordor at first because everywhere I went I would eventually become surrounded by at least 4-5 Chiefs and a couple dozen orcs and have my ass handed to me. Now I just run away when that happens and I've unlocked the skill that lets you ride caragores(sp?). That's a game changer right there, buddy.

Anyway, I recommend them both.

There isn't much I'm terribly looking forward to either. SR4 is s definite. As well at Ori and the Blind Forest. That new platinum games game could be a day one buy for me as well, I just don't know enough about it.

Yeah, the beginning of Shadow of Mordor is tough because of the unwinnable fights after Assassin's Creed and Batman taught you that you can win any fight if you're good at countering enough. I just stopped being stubborn in those instances and fled to a new area to find something else to do.

TWD season 2 crashed on me on 360 like three times or so. It never ceases to amaze me that a game can freeze the screen one time, and then you restart the console, play to the same part doing exactly the same, and it doesn't freeze the second time around. ¿?

Isnt that only for the people who bought the Ultimate Edition? I remember reading that people who got the basic $20 version have to wait an extra week. Which is dumb.

What the general opinion of ea access? I'm considering it but ain't sure yet and are the games only playable as long as the ea access membership is active right?

If you haven't played UFC, BF4, NFS Rivals, and PvZ GW then I say its worth it. [SIZE=13.63636302948px]I never signed up because I don't play year old sports games, I always get the newest and I[/SIZE][SIZE=13.63636302948px] already have/had those games I mentioned. If that wasn't the case I would have signed up a long time ago. You also get to play a trial of upcoming ea games that way you could see if you like it before you buy it and 10% off ea dlc and games. Also yes, only playable with active membership.[/SIZE]

I've been debating it myself and will probably end up getting it starting in January. I'm not a huge sports game guy but I do enjoy them sometimes. Especially the Fifa games. I know I get $30 out of ufc, nba, Fifa and nhl. That'll justify paying for one year. By the of the year I'm hoping quite a few more games will be added.

Personally I'm super happy with it. $7 discount on Dragon Age, plus discount on the DLC, and the early trial. Free Battlefield 4, Peggle 2, Plants vs. Zombies, and Need for Speed. Even without the sports games it feels like a great value for $30.

But maybe it depends on whether there's a particular EA game or series that you're huge into and would use the early access and discounts for. I don't know if the Vault by itself would be worth it.

I tried to like the game but most of the time I was lost and had no clue what to do.Even the first Boss in the game gave me a hard time until I looked up a video on how to damage him.

Interesting! I've only done the first few minutes so I didn't run into that issue yet. Will have to see how confused I get farther into it.

It's a good short term value, but in the long term, they've given no clue as to how they're going to handle things because there is very little to give away for at least the next few months beyond what is already there. If you do get it, then you no longer have any reason to buy EA games unless you need immediate access around launch. You could easily spend $5 each for a month or two and get your fill of the games if you don't want to commit to a full year's sub before we know what they're going to do with it for 2015.

It works exactly like PS+ and Xbox One GWG, so you need an active sub to keep playing the games.

Thanks. Still stupid that you PAY for something and cant play it yet, but people who pay MORE get it sooner. Like the damn microtransactions.

No, rewarding people who buy the pricier package with early access to characters is not stupid. It makes sense that there should be benefits to spending more.

After seeing the recommended specs for Dying Light on the PC it makes me wonder exactly how poorly it's going to run on consoles.

The benefits to spending more is the extra accessories and Killer Instinct 2. NOT earlier access. That's still stupid and a slap in the face. Shitty business model.

Pretty sure the benefits are whatever MS says it is. This is also an entirely common way of rolling out content in freemium games like this.

 
Kinda funny, I've heard nothing but bad things about current gen games, both PS4 and Xbox One, really makes me want to keep on truckin with my 360.

Edit:Except Sunset Overdrive, everyone seems to love that.

There are lots of great games for both systems already - just a few major releases have shipped before they were truly ready for public consumption. But if you play anything other than just the very largest titles, you'd have plenty to enjoy even while waiting for games like Halo MCC and Assassin's Creed Unity to catch up to where they should be.

 
Yeah the big annual tent poles have been largely disappointing but the exclusives have been outstanding. I love my 'Bone and like my PS4 when I have a reason to use it.

Yep. I think it was accidently posted on one of Xbox.com regional sites.

So this is most likely just their "during the whole sale" deals and we will see many more on the daily deals.

No definite purchases for me yet.  NCAA 14 is high on the maybe list.  I'm sure we'll get daily deals as well and maybe another bunch of full week sales next week. 

I will say that $4.50 for Bioshock Infinite is a great deal.  I highly enjoyed that game and recommend it.
