Am I the only one who reflexively moved their mouse to the blue dot to see what the russian price was?

Just came back from Mexico. Even though that wasn't my intentional point of origin, I had nothing better to do since time was just draggin. And in this day and age, you must use every advantage at your disposal, lest suffer another inquisition.

Ended up getting a deluxe pizza when I got home.

How does this work Motoki?.. please tell me.. this is the cheapest I've seen and I'm interested.. but I'm also cheap... but I went in head deep for other games you've recommended and enjoyed them... if I'm not spending money on Steam I suppose Origin can get some.

The easiest way is install hola for chrome. Make sure your logged out of the origin store. Turn on hola, set it to mexico, then go to the origin store. Add the thing you want to the cart and go all the way up until it asks you to login. Then turn off hola in case the proxy is logging information so they dont steal your login details. Then login as normal and check out

Alien Isolation claims to be region locked too based on the Nuuvem page. The season pass is not, however.

... I can't edit that post anymore, I'm trying to add more details but the site won't let me. WTF is going on?

Edit: Finally.

Castlevania 2 is tempting but the rapid price drop it had everywhere worries me. I assume it infests your house with grain weevils or something  :speaktothehand:

I did buy my nephew a copy of Mount & Blade Warband for $2.66  earlier today though, so can't go wrong with that.

I've been watching all week for this one to go on sale and the price is right. Bought and activated!

Rapid price drop? That game's still $40 on Steam, but its Brazilian retail price is $27. And it's not on sale at Steam. 'Cause Konami.

What's weird is that the game says it's region locked to America, but there's no region lock on Steam...

Caved and bought DA:I.

And Age of Wonders III.

And Panzer Corps.

And Dungeon of Dredmore.

I think my Winter purchasing is done...until GTA V.

Also turn on Login Verification (Origin Steamguard) when you're done here just in case: https://account.origin.com/cp-ui/security/index

Actually do that anyway even if you aren't using hola or whatever. I don't know why they don't enable that as the default really. Never hurts to be paranoid. :p
I'm trying to set this up. Does anyone remember the answer to my "favorite game" security question because I sure don't?

How's DAI treating you?

Great, why do you ask? Oh was that your witty attempt to to imply DAI is crap, especially compared to PvZ? For a guy that never buys a single game, rarely plays anything and bases all his opinions watching moron 20 something idiots stumble through trying to play a game on youtube, I'll take that as glowing praise for DAI.

I'm disappointed that this sale isn't feeding my need to compulsively buy Steam games and then complain about not having enough time to play them.

I dunno, I played my first 1.5 tonight.. it was ok.  I keep getting side tracked in that opening rift race... plants and metals all over the place to collect...

It's garbage. His standup is pretty ok. He's no Fluffy but he has some moments... everyone was claiming Mulaney'd be the next Seinfeld.. HAH ... it stinks.
He was a few years behind me at a rival high school; never met him but his standup bit about the high school party was very relatable. Actually thought the whole New in Town show was great, which is why I won't watch the tv show. Martin Short? Jesus.

I got prompted for a feedback survey on Origin.  I politely and professionally told them that their store front is inoffensive at best and a failure as a marketplace at worst.  Sales do not match any third party distributor for their own products, of which fail to grasp market realities of bundling later content into one, easy-to-manage package such as Borderlands 2 GotY, Bethesda GotY titles, etc.

Hope enough folks leave that mindset... but they'll probably get "DIS DER ORIJAN IS CRAP. NOT STEAM. POTATO/10".

In other news, they pulled Ride to Hell Retribution from Steam!?  Now where can I get that hot pile to play!?

If you're going for free Origin stuff that you have absolutely no use for there's also this:

https://www.origin.com/en-us/store/buy/dragon-age-inquisition/pc-download/addon/dragon-age-inquisition--destruction-multiplayer-expansion

On a completely unrelated note, I have a confession that while the Steam sale does nothing for me, I am mezmerized by the jello snowman.

He is about the only one happy with these prices.

The only game I've bought so far has been RAGE when it hit 75% off, I might grab Assetto Corsa at 50% off since there are so few decent racing games these days.

It seems as if a lot of the older games on Steam never receive a discount. There are a lot of older games I want to play but the fact that they are still full price years later with a small 25-33% discount is what is disappointing. It's almost like it's not a sale at all, but a two week window to buy the games (older ones especially) at the price point they should already be it.

Including DLC I've somehow picked up 15 things. Sale's been disappointing in that a lot of the things I want to go on sale haven't; nothing's caught my eye, but clearly I've found things to buy.

Took me about 10 hours - campaign itself was a blast w/ its action and the way it tracks how you play, unlock guns, and all of that (which could make it quite replayable for some).
Though story development + character development from DICE is pretty weak; think like Crysis type of weak.

If you're here for the gameplay, shootouts, gorgeous graphics - this is the best campaign SP campaign DICE has put together since BF:BC2.

The MP's great and the real crowning jewel, though - as one would expect from a BF game.
You really should play the MP, IMHO.
Interesting.
SP: I inquired about Single Player, mostly because by the time I get to play, MP will likely be dead.

MP: I haven't played a BF MP game I didn't like. (Battlefront 1 being my favorite)

Finally: I've been intrigued by the game, because I've got some of the same gear as the guy on the box art.
I remember making fun of it to my wife. "Oh look another shooter game where they Frak up all of the gear" Then on further inspection I realized that I had everything down to the same flashlight and optic. Even the same holster and damn silencer. ::face palm::
