local comic book shop was selling back issue comics 60 for $5. just spent 2 hours rifling through boxes and boxes. got some pretty sweet stuff. a couple full mass effect sets, some halo, duke nukem, batman(of course), and a bunch more.

Yeah, funny that the only one to glitch on me so far is one that the guide doesn't mention.
 
Well crisis averted, for now.  I may have to get on calls tomorrow though.  Apparently this group I am dealing with has tech people working on Jan 1.  Not sure why, but I assume they are in India.  Thanks Obama!

I just realized the guy from another site who offered to help get the platinum medals for GTA is only a PS3 player.  Well fuck!  Looks like I am going to be playing this even longer than I thought.

If anyone else is as crazy as I am and is interested in getting the 30 plat medals in online, let me know.  I know wren probably doesn't wasn't to bother and I don't think my other friend does either.  Luckily a large number of them are boostable with 2 players, but some of those are really a PITA due to needing like 50 races or something.

Actually they are pretty easy, only a couple need 4 players max, otherwise you can get to the trophy for plats with just two. I started with someone and the connections were so bad we had to stop, I may be able to help sometime, but my gaming schedule isn't very consistent.

The sports ones are somewhat fun... Tennis gets boring because you have to win in straight sets and get aces as well...

Yeah, just finding someone else who cares enough to want to do it and spend the time is the issue. That is why I am asking here so hopefully I can get someone besides some random from ps3t since that is always such a crap shoot.

 
There's a guide on PST.org about the platinum medals. I'm pretty sure you can get most of them by yourself. I didn't boost with anyone and got that trophy no problem.

Just tried to order takeout from our fav Asian place but they are so backed up theywont take any more orders for the next half hour. And I am starving. Pizza it is.

It is much better, but it still only has 14 solo. It does have a great grouping of which to do together in 2 player to make them happen the fastest though, so I am glad you mentioned it. It will help a lot.

I am not sure how you got 30 of them solo though.

 
I got my favorite legendary hand cannon in destiny in the new upgraded form with good perks. Today is a good day. I thought I should share my loot drop.

What is it? The dead orbit gun? You should try out that one I have, not sure of the name but its a bunch of random letters like TPKYN or something.

 
Played about an hour of Dust over remoteplay earlier. Nice trophy progression and damn does it work nicely on the Vita. Not sure how many games would work so well, and I haven't actually played it directly on the PS4 yet, but so far it seems pretty perfect.

Liking the game quite a bit so far aside from the Metroidvania component where I can see that I'm going to have to do some backtracking later on to get to areas I can't yet access. I never like backtracking--it always feels like a waste of time. Hopefully there won't be a ton of that.

No hot furry chicks so far, Stotch.

Ha, you're going to hate it. That's one of the reasons I loved it. Love me some Metroidvanias.

Dust is still worth a play because of the awesome story behind it. It was a labor of love and the guy basically learned to program to make the game. It's a Metroidvania, though.

I really like Dead Nation, but Tyler and Munky hated it. I think it's a pretty fun twin stick shooter, and the price was right.

 
Who is buckybuster on PSN? Word to the wise: putting me on a mass PSN happy new year message is a sure fire way to get unfriended and blocked. Done.
 
I'm in the midst of one of my better trophy streaks right now. Still 4 days shy of my longest streak of 20 days, but I've already earned almost 40 more trophies during this one than I did during my longest streak. Pretty neat to just pull up a page and see all this stuff.
