Wrapped up Dead Space 2.  Game started to drag near the end but the last couple chapters were mercifully short.  Very good game.  My two gripes are the constant attacks from behind (even from areas that were just cleared out) and the
unkillable enemy near the end.  I like to take my time in these games, search for pick-ups, etc.  So unkillable enemies kind of ruin that.  I basically just ran through most of the last 2 chapters.

Overall I think I enjoyed the original more, but 2 was very good.  I'll get around to 3 at some point.

 
Shame From software never adds trophies for DLC.

Guess they are not going to make it easy to cut off boss tails in the DLC (it converts the severed tail into a weapon you can equip). First boss is a chimera like creature that fires lightning out of its mouth among 6 or 7 other attacks. But the tail is that of a scorpion and it has it curled up and out of reach except right after the attack when it flies into the air and dive bombs and skims the ground to knock you back, which it doesn't do that often. So many times I would run over and and wind up to hack with my katana and time would be up and he would raise his tail back up causing me to whiff. Once I finally got the tail it was pretty easy to roast him with pyro flames and finish him off.

Good choice. I'd hate for it to take up valuable space that could be used by octodad. I assume that's what you were making space for, because I certainly can't think of any other valid reason. Maybe geometry wars. maybe.

Splitting a 6pack tonight with 3 beers I have not tried, and have wanted to. 2 from goose island, one is ten hills, pale ale. 2nd is their ipa. What I'm most excited for is a New Glarus brew that I have never tried! It's called Scream, and is a double ipa.
 
I definitely want to see Oregon win. I'm also torn with Ohio State. I hate them more than anything, but I also want to root for them because they're Big 10.
 
I knew 2015 was going to feel like the first year of real next gen exclusives and less ports, but damn this list is sexy. I never heard of a few of these.

I just got to him in the main game, so I'm not sure how much I like him yet. Sounds like I'd enjoy it though if it's more stealth based; I prefer the sections that allow you to slip around behind mechs and turrets as opposed to the straight-up fighting sections in the main game.
 
I just finished chapter 4 of Enslaved. I think that was my favorite level so far, especially the part in the theater.

I've given up going out of my way for the orbs. I feel like it's distracting me from the fun parts. I'll go back and do another run in easy mode to get them for the plat.

Also, haha. fuck Florida State.

sites that use slides, and page reloads, for their top lists can go fuck themselves. i'm only seeing 4-5 games on that list that i'm really hyped about. that being said, there's at least 10 that i've never seen anything about.(hell yeah mario maker(sorry sony))

Game of thrones was really good. Even more so since I'm invested so much in the lore.

Just as a point of reference, my total trophy count is 1170. Before 2014 I had 102 trophies. I know tons of you guys had way more trophies than I did in 2014, but I'm still happy about my gaming resolution and how I went from being terrible about gaming to being able to run through games without losing interest and bailing, which was my habit of previous years.

 
I just realized I didn't even start trying for trophies until July. I had 1 trophy in January, 10 in February, 5 in March, and 0 in June. The only months I had any real number of trophies before July were April at 36 (Infamous 1, no attempt on trophies) and 52 in May (Jak and Daxter, my first plat.) Assuming I keep up the pace I started in July I should have close to double the trophies in 2015.  :D/

 
I do not even know how to describe the Resogun session Pete and I just had.

First game I think we both died once before the last level and had saved every human the entire way.  Then I pull the world's worst choke job in the final level leaving him to try and beat the boss alone with no extra lives.  He got it down to a sliver again.

The next few games I stink up the joint.  A couple were so bad we restarted on the first level.  We keep joking about 1 more time.

Then we play and had it really going.  I think we had 4 lives going into the final level.  I died a couple times I think before getting to the boss.  Then we killed him without either of us dying.  1cc trophy won with 2 lives to spare.

Pete, you are a gentleman and a scholar.
