I'm glad they both worked and went to regs.  They came up as unused on my Desura collection but I already had them on my Steam account (probably from other bundles).

Also if you Google Huniepop review, it's not difficult to find out which review he was speaking of. Also game reviews in nature are NOT objective (something people often forget), they are purely subjective and seems that the reviewer didn't enjoy the game. Unless the reviewer LITERALLY didn't play the game, nothing should ever disqualify a reviewer from having his/her opinion on their enjoyment of a game.
In which case, reviews are meaningless. Since there is no objective component to them and it is impossible to criticize them, it is equally impossible to praise them.

And that's the stupid mindset that causes the author of the game to disqualify as lol SJW and the other poster to disqualify as lol GamerGate. Because if you can't actually dispute the review, you have no recourse but to dispute the character and qualifications (Though if there is no objective component to a review, then there can be no qualifications required to write a review, reducing their value further.) of the person holding the review.

You're not helping.

I don't really care to argue whether the review is legitimate or not. That's not the point. I'm irritated that the author felt the need to sigh so publicly about SJWs without having the guts to link the review. Either ignore it with just a remark on twitter or link (or since this is a scorched earth unending war, at least quote considerably from) and let the viewers make their own judgments.

And I am livid that we then turn around and make a doubly stupid effort rather than addressing this obvious pity me cry we instead slander the man and just double down on the sin he committed. It's infuriating and bad form.

SJW vs deviant anime pedo abominations. Win/win either way.

From what I understand, it was this one.
... I may not agree with the dev but I'm really not interested in seeing a review with an embedded clip from Hellraiser that shows someone who has been messed up by the Cenobites just to have a "funny" sound byte.

I don't know what kind of audience that site is aiming for, but I doubt a clip from a horror film can help get their point across. Yuck. I didn't bother with the review after that point.

Hands down, the creepiest line/scene of the film. Easily my favorite. Makes my skin crawl every single time.

Wait, what are we supposed to be outraged over? That he's whining about a review and unnecessarily dragging it into at this GamerWarz nonsense without citing the context? Eh, it's a blog, basically a diary so yeah people are going to vent. Besides there's this magical thing called the internet where you can find just about anything.

Really no one would have paid an obscure blog of some obscure indie developer any mind at all had he not used those 3 letters that's basically sending up the bat signal for people looking to stir shit or just trying to find things to be offended by.

Oh yes, Hellraiser is an amazing film. The other ones in the series, eheh, not so much.

I just fail to see the reasoning to include that clip in that review. What is it trying to make fun of? "Jesus wept", written, would work perfectly fine.

Honestly, I haven't the slightest clue. I just clicked the link and watched the clip... like 10 times.

That you paid so much for it, I mean. It's not that good of a deal yet.

If something like this got you that angry I would hate to see you when something legitimately rage worthy happens, like if you burn your toast, or have to poop after showering

One of my colleagues gave HuniePop a poor review, and the dev totally didn't flip out on a GamerGate-fueled rant wherein he admitted to online stalking of the reviewer in question in response.

http://www.huniepop.com/post/108464572403/sjw-reviews-hp-spoiler-he-doesnt-like-it

A real winner, this one.
[customspoiler=t]Looked at his social media accounts and that counts for online stalking? You're absolutely batshit stupid. Do you even understand the point of social media? How dare he look at my twitter and my facebook page which I post all kinds of personal crap to?

Exactly how little self-awareness do you have? All he did was disqualify the reviewer by saying he's lol SJW and you turn around and disqualify him because he's lol GamerGate. And nobody has even linked to the review which could settle crap up without these little bitch games of he's mean she's dumb.[/customspoiler]

I found that out by a Google search that lead to 4chan of all places. :fridge:

Anyway, I feel like that author takes it all a little too seriously. It's just so over the top I can't really do that myself. Maybe I'm just a campy trash aficionado. *shrug* Also the bubble popper stuff isn't completely terrible, I do have some experience with those sorts of games. :p[/customspoiler]

Okay, but guys, seriously, does anybody really care about a review on GamersGate? It's not like anybody with any sense goes there except to buy glitches.

uh...I think everyone else was referring to Gamergate (the ethics on gaming journalism/ I hate women movement) , not Gamersgate the store. (notice the lack "s" in Gamers)

Unless you were trying to make a funny... then it went over my head

so, uh.... for science and stuff.... if you buy huniepop via the humble widget, do you get a steam key and a drm-free download like with other humble purchases?

Good grief... this thread is moving really really fast again. It's getting difficult to stay caught up on all of these *cough* deals, I just hope I can survive the sudden post rush. Perhaps this is what happens when you actually try to play some games from your backlog?

Don't lie. You're only following the drama because you love the drama.

I paid my pre-order, and I'll either receive my key or I won't. Nothing will change that.

Like the $4.51 GRID Autosport deal at Funstockdigital... I was content to wait it out until I receive my key or refund. 11 days later I found my key in my account and happily redeemed it without partaking in the 11 Days of Drama.
I am without a doubt 100% jealous. It's been 14 days and no Steam key from Funstockdigital. I REFUSE TO ADMIT DEFEAT! Funstockdigital, why must you anger me!? :wall:

Just curious what kind of controller software you guys use for some older games that dont do controller support. Im assuming you use a 3rd party program of some kind? Im specifically thinking of Knights of the Old republic. Im going to do a playthrough, havent played it in years. I always played on the xbox but figured id play the steam version i had sitting around for a while this time.  Only thing is i really want to use a controller with it

Any suggestions? I did some searching and i hear joy2key sorta works. Also found some posts on something called pinnacle game profiler, but i think thats not free

What's wrong with pooping after taking a shower (not right after but bit later on)? >.>

burnt toast is god awful, though I've ate (and would eat again) toast with malt vinegar and pepper sooo...not the best person to judge I guess.

*ahem* to gaming/other topics. Hatred got an AO rating (didn't see anything mentioned about it yet). From the trailer way way back the game did come across disturbing, but hardly say it's worthy of an AO rating unless I missed something. Then again I think the ESRB is awful, so suppose can't be totally shocked. The fact Fahrenheit was AO and supposedly Culpa Innata (uncut version) was going to be AO is (to me) just backing up the issues of the ESRB.

Anyways rant(ish) over, how long til Hatred gets pulled from Greenlight again? Or will Valve just leave it up on greenlight til the end of time?

Having to poop after a shower does really irk me. I guess we are all more or less the same ...
Needing to poop right in the middle of a shower is worse. Doing something so unclean while trying to get clean. Awful.
Quickest way to ruin a good shower.
Such a pessimistic way of looking at it. Great way to enhance a good poop, I say!
Toilet paper on a wet, hairy ass!? Nope, nope, nope.

ive used xpadder in the past, it's worked well for me. anymore i'm lazy though and just embrace the kb/m

Lunchtime. Finally caught up with overnight developments. I'm giving the thread an A+ for content today. Well done chaps, you earned it.

[Gold Star]

P.s. What's a SJW?
P.p.s. No really I honestly have no clue. I'm quite up-to-speed with the stuff you guys mumble on about (I know what "waifu" means now!) but this is beyond me.

so Gamestop just charged my card for that bogus Gat Out of Hell deal and nothing's appeared in my inbox. *sigh* should've just canceled earlier. i'll wait until later in the day to see if they reverse the charge before doing something about it.
