I'm pissed and this is the only place anyone would even know what I'm talking about. I've recently decided to gather all my games and movies together that were scattered all over my house. I just finished, for the most part (I need to buy more shelves for my vhs collection, so I'm not sure if I'm missing anything there yet), yesterday and I'm missing some things. I don't know everything I had, and the only way I know I had it is if I specifically remember playing it a lot, or have the manual or box. I may be missing some more, because I didn't actually open all the cases I've found so I'm not sure if some of them are empty. Here's what I know I'm missing:

genesis- sonic and knuckles (have manual, use to play constantly)

Game gear-
Columns (have manual, played all the time along with haley wars)

gameboy-
Mario Land

Sega CD-
Sonic cd (not missing, but found broken in half, still have case and manual)

Nes-
mega man 5 and 6 (possibly, was pretty sure I had them, but haven't found anything relating to them)
Original nes

n64-
bio freaks (have manual)
nba live 2000 (have manual)

Snes-
might and magic III (have manual)
Mario kart (have a photocopied manual)

Sega master system-
Found the first system model (which the slot for sms card never worked on). In my families old store I had the second system model and 30-60 games (can't remember, bought a system and a ton of games in the local want ad years ago), all missing. All I have is the games I, for some reason, had doubles of (about 8, which therefore stayed at home) and phantasy star (not sure why this isn't with the others). I'm not sure what happened to them after they came home from the store.

Game.com-
System and every open game. Only thing I have is the manual to the lost world: jurassic park, and I just found about 5 sealed games. Not sure how many games I had, at least 10, probably more.

Saturn-
Shining Force 3 loads the title screen, but after that says there is a load error so I can't play it. I've tried putting disc solutions on it, going to try getting it resurfaced next time I'm in the area (the place that does it is 45 minutes away).

DVD-
enemy at the gates

edit: WOOHOO!! Found my most costly to replace missing game, Popful Mail! Also found jurassic park 2 (was in the dvd case for Odd Couple II), kirby's dreamland 2, and about 5 sealed game.com games (still missing all the opened ones and the system).

Hmm.. Sounds like you gotta do a background check on your boys. :bomb: Either that or get those glass cases like the ones at Gamestop and EB.

I know how you feel, I can't find my gameboy version of Tetris Attack, lost track of it two years ago, still can't find it, it's in my house somewhere, I think. Which reminds me, one day my neice was at my house since my brother was visiting and she hands me Zelda Links Awakening, she said it was her friend's, so later I pop it in my GB and find that it was mine since it had my save file on it. I still don't know how she got her hands on it. Hell maybe she has my Tetris Attack, damn kids.

How would you have lost all that stuff? Would it have been stolen, or have you moved many times, and some has been left behind?

(I have the box and manual for Gex 64...but I haven't been able to find the game for years now...I think somebody walked off with that one, and although I don't really miss it, it's the principle damn it!)

Oh, and I also cannot find Super Mario Land. That one bothers me! :(

I lost my copy of Sonic 3D blast about 3 years ago. I think i know where it is but it would take hours to sort through the part of the basements where it is becuase of all the clutter. I suppose I will dare to look for it someday but till then its MIA.

These kind of things make me crazy! I currently cant find my Appleseed dvd. I wanted to watch it again, I opened up the box... not there. I never lend out dvds without the box so I suspect that my friend returned the box but left the dvd in his pc pr something... One of my friends has taken to writing down what he lends to who in a notebook, so these kind of things dont happen to him. I think I may have to do that as well.

It wouldn't have been stolen, none of my friends at the time had a sega cd, snes, gameboy, or game gear (the stuff has been out of reach so it wasn't possible to steal in more recent years). The sms games, my original nintendo (forgot to mention, first system I had, still have a toploader though), and my sms model 2 were all at my parents store. A trusted employee and his friend (which we knew somewhat) helped us move, he had no interest in games. There's a very small possibility that maybe his friend took the stuff, but it's unlikely considering how pissed off the employee got everytime someone was suspected of stealing in the store. I'm also pretty sure it came home.

The only game that may possibly have been lent out and lost was nba live 2000, not that I remember lending it out it's just that my friends loved sports games and one, who always borrowed stuff, had an n64. The only game I know that I've ever lost to a friend was mega man 2 years ago, but I did rebuy it.

Damnit, you made me realize that I'm missing super mario land!

i lost my copy of Kirby's dream land and LOZ a link to the past. but nothing else i can think of. hope you recover the master system and games (thats a lot of games to turn up missing)..

When I recently went through my games to cut down my collection I noticed I was missing a handful of PS2 games. I know they are around somewhere, but it's kinda mind boggling. None of them are any big deal, but it's just odd.

That sucks. Hope you find some (if not all) of that stuff!

I usually keep good track of my games, but a few things of mine have gotten lost too:

-A few years ago, I lost my first copy of Donkey Kong Country 3. I wound up buying another copy. I've since found the manual.

-Around the same time, my brother was borrowing my copy of Gran Turismo 2 and lost it - jewel case, manuals, everything. On a positive note, it was a buggy non-GH copy , so I replaced it with the GH version.

-I have no clue where my N64 transfer pak is. I never use it, but I have a boxed Pokemon Stadium, so I should get another one the next time I'm at EB to bring me one step closer to a complete copy.

this is why anyone who wants to check out my collection has to take off all of their clothes as soon as they get within 15 feet of my collection...they may redress themselves after a full cavity search and after leaving the 15 foot perimeter
I can't find my copy of metroid for the NES
I have two copies, I'm not sure where the second one came from. It showed up around the same time my Rampage and Dr. Mario disappeared. I still miss Rampage:bomb:

Usually the people who get really pissed about certain things are guilty of it themselves. It's kind of like preachers who say you'll go to hell if you have sex outside of marriage, but they end up getting caught having affairs with people in the congregation..... If a guy gets really shitty about stealing in the store it's becuase he KNOWS how easy it is to get away with it. Occam's Razor....The most obvious solution is usually the right one. I never let people help me move, other people just never seem to care about property that isn't theirs.

It's a great time to be a cheap ass gamer.

what does this have to do with the OP's post?

check under your bed, your nudy stash, boxes, garage, books (sometimes cds slip away), even under your fridge, and have you had any garage sales lately?

I remember a few years ago, in my parents old house, I lost Megaman Battle Network 1 for GBA.... could have sworn I'd never see it again.

When I moved a year or so ago, found it underneath a desk pushed back along the wall, was pretty ecstatic when I found it

Back in college I let my current boyfriend borrow Final Fantasy and Startropics. He managed to lose both games. Luckily for me I lent him the cart only, not the box, manuals, etc....so I was able to replace them pretty cheaply. He currently has my cart of Castlevania: HoD...better not lose that.

More recently I seem to have misplaced Super Mario Bros 3 and Kirby's Adventure for NES. I believe I loaned them to my sister since NES is the only system she will play. Once again, cart only is missing, I still have boxes and manuals. ::sighs::

it happens...my ex and I had a lousy break up and some of the games I thought I had gotten back, I couldn't play the gc for awhile afterwards, I finally get around to switching games out, and I've only got two...TWO out of like 8-9 cases....soo ticked. however, the worst was I lost my game saves...but still, a Vast improvement from still dating him.

Another time someone stole my GBA from out of my bookbag right in the middle of the day in a louge area, and I couldn't figure out who the hell would do that when all my friends were right in that same area. I was okay with it because at that point it did kind of give me the excuse to upgrade the SP, so when I did I opted for the Target exclusive *lime green* DK one, so if somebody steals it...I'll know, oh I'll know...

I've taken as of late to swaping borrowed things out, even with my trusted and closest of friends it reduces stress and anxiety, right now I have:

out: the first 6 battle royal manga books
in: the entire series of Project Arms dvds

out: my PSP and case and some games/couple movies for a friend who had a really long flight/trip with a lot of waiting involved.
in: Nintendo DS and some games so I can play nintendogs/castlevania/trauma center/pheonix wright ace attorney.

you know what though?...usually I just misplace stuff on my floor somehow...my bed eats things I think.

I'm cleaning up my whole house, so I've checked a lot of areas. There may be a few boxes I've missed, but I've checked everything I found (we have 1 and a half rooms used for storage, stuff left over from our old store and then all the antiques my father sells on ebay). Wouldn't be in a book, the only disc that's now missing is enemy at the gates dvd, but the case is gone too, everything else is carts. Never had a garage sale, don't have a garage, don't have a bed (have a futon, which I brought how from my college apartment. Only been here since april, bed has been tossed).

The sega master system (and all the games) is the big one that's missing, along with my original nes (for sentimental reasons). I'm hoping I've missed a box somewhere. That old store closed a month before our lease was up, so it was throughly cleared out. Everything else has never left this house, it's stuff I haven't used in years. My family is not one to clean or throw stuff out, especially something like a video game. I'm the only one who really cleans this place. The most anyone else does is vacuum, anything that has been moved around has been done by me.

I know the feeling of losing your stuff all too well. Over the last year and a half I've had over twenty games stolen from me. The bitch of it is that the person who stole the games knew their shit. Among others, the three that really pissed me off about being stolen were my copies of Suikoden II, Valkyrie Profile, and Zone of the Enders 2. I have since been able to replace Suikoden II and ZOE2, but another copy of Valkyrie Profile eludes me, as I am not willing to pay $100+ for another copy. Some of them I never got to enjoy. I had more than one of the games I bought from the CC summer '04 clearance stolen before I ever got around to opening them, most notably Grandia Xtreme. So even though the only people who were passing through my apartment were my friends, I actually ended up buying a footlocker to keep my games in and always have it locked with a padlock.

Right now the only thing I can't find is Super Punch-Out for the SNES. It's really no biggie since I have beaten it numerous times. I don't let anyone other than my brother-in-law borrow stuff. That isn't much of an issue because all he really plays anymore is sports games. I only have one friend that I know of that still has an SNES but I never loaned him anything. I guess it is possible that I traded it but I doubt it because I would have removed it from my colleciton list.
My copies of Chrono Cross, Mystical Ninja, FFIV, and TMNT Tournament Fighters are all missing.
Hmm.... I traded for a mystical ninja from someone on here. Are you sure it wasn't you? I think I've trade with you before, but I don't have any record of 10 of my first 12 other than the tally.
