Normally I don't like this but this is the English version of a Japanese Falcom game.

I didn't remember this either. Long time Falcom fan, been importing their PC games for years and always waiting for the fan translations. Got my key, thanks!

I feel kind of guilty for getting the game for free when it's only $10, $9 on sale right now.

Really hope it sells well
Well, it is a ten year old PSP game. I think it's pretty weird that they're putting it on Steam now. Mastiff should get to work on PC ports of the Gungrave games next -- the saga of Rocketbilly Redcadillac should be experienced by more people.

They've been putting a lot of the Falcom library on Steam over the last couple of years and doing pretty well off it from what I understand. Large part of the reason stuff's coming to PSN.

Finally!  I've been waiting for so long!

...

And I'm sick, and don't really feel like gaming today.  Of course.

From the group page, if you voted and joined the group up until last week but didn't comment to let them know you voted, you'll still get a key.  The comment requirement is now nullified.

When we announced the Gurumin: A Monstrous Adventure greenlight campaign we promised a free code to everyone who voted for us, registered in the Gurumin group, and posted to let us know they had voted. But in the Gurumin group itself our instructions weren't clear. That left some users concerned that they wouldn't be receiving their free key.

We want to make sure that everyone is happy. So... We are awarding a key to EVERYONE who helped us get Gurumin through Steam Greenlight and ALSO to registered users who joined the Gurumin Steam group up through last week! This means that we are tossing the comment part out the window. We would rather give away a few extra keys to those of you who supported us than leave legitimate supporters who just failed to post empty-handed.

It was actually a PC game first, same with Ys and Trails, so it wasn't a port just an old PC game localized. Falcom was one of the few notable Japanese publishers who were doing PC games even into the 2000s. Really all they have to do is localize these old PC games they don't even have to do a port.

Anyhow I'm really enjoying the heck out of this one. It baffles me why they felt they need to do the free giveaway because I would have easily paid $10 for it and been happy but hey I am not complaining!

Maybe they thought it would be worth it to get onto Steam this way. It is also on GOG as well, and overall I hope it sells well for them.

I commented a long time ago and I'm not eligible? Wtf.
