This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

The LostNumber Family sharing guide is a must read. I never imagined spodering codes for my cousin's neighbors.

is that a true 4GB or just 3.5GB? b/c you need 4GB to run ultra hi res or DSR on game like Shadow of Mordor

I rather spend money on Artbook and just look up online eguide from gameFAQ

 
I knew about the 3.5 gb VRAM thing, still too good a deal to pass up and a huge upgrade from my old Radeon HD 7850 2gb. Too bad for me I need a new PSU before I can use it - some of you guys would probably plotz if you saw the piece of junk power supply I'm using now.
 
I would have bought 1-2 in a heartbeat myself. Killer awesome deal.

Unfortunately, the rock solid NVidia name has been tarnished by the A-holes in the nvidia marketing department. ...and for good reason.

3.5 GB w/ its warts and all namely only from the poor NVidia false advertising + marketing blunder issues - that still would've been a killer upgrade for me (and anyone who needs it) at that price.

Going from my 1 GB VRAM GeForce GTX 560 Ti to a 3.5 GB GF 970 would've been a no-brainer for me - especially at $145 before tax + rebates.

I guess, at least I missed this while I was at work and making that $, not while I was at home playing games or something.

Little known fact: Boneless chicken wings come from land-bound chickens similar to penguins. Their "wings" can only flop around in the breeze and when they run. They were the result of the same genetic experimentation that led to six legged chickens that had larger, meatier breasts as a result of the extra legs.

Sweet! I'll have to finally play that after I finish up Dirt 1 and Dirt 2 (don't want to miss any plot points).

EDIT - Also, I just noticed Dirt 2 isn't listed on the Steam store anymore? (EDIT 2 - Seems there was a licensing issue).

Killing Floor 2 was moved from the Upcoming section to the New Releases section of Steam today.  Still no price/add to cart feature, but I really hope that means it is out today.  If this is an April Fool's prank there will be hell to pay.

I did hear it was rumored to hit early access in April (the 14th?) but haven't seen an official announcement.

Dont get your hopes up.

The same thing happened with GTA 5 back on January 1st. The game went to New Release that day and stayed there for about 2 days before it was finally fixed. Basically, the issue was that they didn't have the date input on their end correctly or just had a placeholder date, that date hit and the game "released", but not really.

Likely something similar happened here and its just a matter of time before its fixed.

 
So I won a game on steamgifts group giveaway yesterday and today I was contacted by the person who asked why my steam profile was private, didn't like my answer that it was visible to friends only since I used to get harassed for free stuff a lot by non-friends... He then un-friended me, kicked me from the steam group and blacklisted me on steamgifts.

I apparently missed a group announcement on Mar 19th saying "If you want to keep your profile private (for some reason?), please leave this group unless you have a really good reason."  

I have no idea what constitutes 'a good reason' in this person's eyes, nor do I understand why he did all that after I offered to make it public...  He basically said, 'no keep it private' and then did all that....  FML   :wall:

This is stuff I reserved on WGN before I became a born again virgin so I hope it's not an issue to give the keys away if I'm not using them. If it is, Coral please let me know and I will cease and desist.

And maybe once I finish Van Helsing 1, Van Helsing 2 maybe will be dirt-cheap or in a HB.

 
Does anyone know where the traders on Steamtrades are getting the super cheap Never Alone (Kisima Ingitchuna) steam keys? Not too bad for 1 TF2 key or 5 gem sacks. I assume there was a pricing glitch somewhere but I can't find anything.
