This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

I know you meant discussion threads on CAG, but you got me wondering what crappy thread-count COD-themed underwear probably has. You'd probably have to get the COD merkin and COD Band-Aids to go with it after it scratches all your hairs and skin away. On the plus side, you could make a high-def remake of Super Meat Boy with your dick pics! :D

I just assumed PC games were always full retail price because I never saw deal threads.  Real shame they never sell them in small groups, typically with some unifying theme.

 
So unrelated to CAG drama, time for some drama involving our ol' bundle pal Kiss Ltd.

So DIG is running their 3rd Desura (Greenlight bundle but worse and not all games come with Steam keys) bundle, which saw it include a Desura key for Zilm: A Game of Reflex.

However, apparently the dev had no idea he was in a bundle. Or that his game was on Desura at all.

His game is currently completely free off of the dev's website, not sure what they plan to do once they get released on Steam, but he had not published it to sell on Desura. The publisher of the game on Desura is Kiss Ltd. who he claims basically stole his game and published it themselves without contacting him. The Desura page for the game has since been pulled, so there might be some validity to this.

Honestly, it's Kiss so this wouldn't surprise me if it was true. We'll see if he republishes the game on Desura himself.

Edit: So Kiss is also selling it on GetGamesGo, Amazon and Gamersgate. I just informed the dev of this.

Man, they deleted all the threads. You know, the Civ BE deal was actually a good one that I think a lot of people would be interested in. Even though its a disappointment, a lot of people know Civ.

Does this mean I can report you for posting a deal and you will silence yourself? I don't see why sweetjia would be silenced for posting individual deals like 90% of all the other threads on CAG. Is there even an explanation for that?

He's the one who silenced him, active right now. It's ironic because he only became a mod because he posted all those console deals threads.

Will probably get silenced for 4 months for questioning the mods, will see you guys then.

great all those deals threads were deleted how am i supposed to know what's on sale now

edit: going to buy serious sam complete pack for 100 bucks now, i'm assuming that's a good deal because there are 11 games in there!!! wow! no idea though because somebody went and deleted all the deals threads that would've told me if that was a sale or not.

Can you also ask why the Dirt thread is still up and also if they even looked at the deals (all better than the Dirt deal) or just deleted by name.

don't you realize dude there are some damn simple expectations around here don't talk about not deals in this thread, don't post deals outside of this thread*, be a console gamer, etc get with the program or shut your face

*unless deal is pretty bad like 20% off or so then make a thread for it

(or do the smart thing and, not like me, play Eve Online aka skill queue simulator)

I kind of got that feeling when your post of "you know there is a steam thread?" was considered being a hall monitor. To be that egotistical dude, even after what I thought was a pretty considerate post, people still had to get in on trashing the Steam thread for their enjoyment or something *shrugs*.

I do not need to provide an explanation. It was clear to me and everyone that reported him that his intentions were not to post deals.

I don't get that, technically even reading this thread it's clear the intention was to post deals. The reason for intending to post deals was probably different then most OPs, but (unless they were and I missed it) the threads weren't random b.s. or non-deals and such.

I've just woken up and have spent the last 10 minutes trying to figure out what's going on. If you guys could've just capitalised the D in "Dirt thread" I would've figured out what you were talking about much sooner.

In other news, I'm eating a bagel and its delicious.

He got silenced not because of what he did, but his intent, which he made perfectly obvious in-thread before he did it.

Basically, the two of them got in trouble for trolling, which is what they were doing. Sweeetja only got silenced though, so it'll blow over eventually.

I'm sure part of the somewhat heavy-handed response was because the moderation already disliked this thread and we were talking shit about them for so long. Which is not okay.

Edit: Meaning it's not okay for the mods to take out their frustration on members of this thread.

I suspect that Ashes being banned is a contributing factor in her lack of input over the past few days.

This would seem to make her a prime suspect in the case of the facelesslurker. Ashes had a pretty distinct sense of humor, and faceless's posts didn't match that sense of humor. But I guess you could fake that for a little while. It would start to show eventually, but faceless was only around for a few days and had less than 30 posts.
