I have it, and while the perks are really nice: double XP and wheelspin prize money, periodic gift cars (best one being the Lamborghini Veneno), 5 car DLC to start with, special multiplayer events, $10 discount on the Storm Island expansion, special badge etc, it is more of a frivolous DLC compared to the Car Pass. But if the perks sound appealing to you, then it is definitely worth it, especially for the double cash and XP and the gift cars.

The in game gifts are regular cars with cool paint jobs. Not a whole lot of them. Maybe 6-8 in a year if the past is a predictor for this version. The exclusive mp events in the past have been one extra challenge type race with leaderboards each month.

VIP does get you 50% off the storm island dlc pack so it's 9.99 instead of 19.99.

1) Of course the themed deals I complain ("complain") about not seeing in a scattershot DLC sale end up being uninteresting to me! Ha! Well played, corporate overlords.

2) I'm 100% certain the Assassin's Creed III DLC was on sale at one point, because I bought it on sale, but I can't find my email receipt, so I'm not sure when that was. Holidays 2013? Maybe 2012?

3) I played Monopoly Deal in real life for about 30 minutes with college roommates before we had cable hooked up. It was the dumbest game I've ever played.

Tempting but with Mortal Kombat X dropping next week, I'll be good on the fighting game front for a good year or two, until Street Fighter 5 comes out. But if it ever meets your price threshold, I'd go for it at that point.

I see $59.99, the same price it's been at since the Ultimate Game Sale ended back in February. The marketplace still has $79.99 struck through.

 
So, heads-up.

Don't buy Forza Horizon 2 Ultimate. It's $1.50 cheaper to buy Forza Horizon 2 Deluxe + Car Pass separately. The extra car pack included in the Ultimate edition is the free Mazda pack.

Deluxe is still a good buy though because the VIP pass is not on sale at all.

OK so it looks like Nelson didn't list the other stuff that was found because (as I suspected) it's part of a different sale.  On the XB1 dash the rest of the stuff is under a separate Spring Sale section and the 360 probably has the same thing.

I just got an Xbox One, so these sales are welcome if only to bolster my digital library.

I like buying physical over digital whenever possible, but that Kinect Sports Rivals price seems to be the best deal available for the game by far. Its got an oddly high value both new and used on most sites. I know it was available for $25 last winter on the MS store, but it has stabilized.

Quality of the game aside, do you guys think it's worth biting at right now, or will I regret it in the near future?

Well, I did emphasize that I wasn't concerned with the quality of the game. I'm asking entirely for monetary reasons-- I don't want to see it for $10 on Amazon in May or whatever.

I don't intend on ever playing it myself, but it would still sting if I paid more than necessary for a game of this caliber. Outside of the other $5 Kinect game on sale, though, I don't really have much else of interest to the young ones in the family.

Either way, fuck it. I can't stomach paying more than $10 for something like that.

An addendum to my comment above: I have terrible taste and my opinions should never be trusted.

But in all seriousness, Rockefellow, I think you're doing the right thing to avoid Kinect Sports. I picked up a copy around the holidays and I flipped it the next day after giving it a couple of hours. It's not a pleasant experience.

XX is only a couple years old compared to 3 which is 15. I thought XX was alright, 6 and 7/XX were pretty decent compared to the half-assed 4 and 5 that happened shortly after SNK was bought. It's just that nothing can compare to 3.

The challenge modes are cool, and finally having different abilities on the tons of characters is a great attempt at doing something new. I think it's worth it, especially if you're considering rebuying 3 for the 20th time since it's always what gets ported first.

Guess I'm hoping that it's still in the preparation stage and maybe some more stuff will be added. If everything has been added, it's pretty weak. It would be nice if we had something that was the equivalent of last month's PSN Flash Sale with lots of stuff under a buck.

Meh. Spring sale is pretty weak IMO. A few decent deals for games I already have but otherwise nothing to shout about. Oh well, keeps my wallet happy at least.
 
On the Xbox one store, it has call of duty advanced warfare gold edition free. $59.99 is crossed out and says free. I already have the game+season pass so not sure if that matters.
 
Looks like the Watch Dogs and Rogue sales are price drops since they're not mentioned anywhere on the site.

They're also both on sale for $20 'till tomorrow at GameStop anyways.

Edit: Haven't seen anyone talk about the new Naruto on sale. It's a filler game, and with Storm 4 on the horizon, it's probably best to skip it (it has some fun additions but nothing worth $25 imo). However, it's the last in the Storm series to be put out on 360/PS3 it's looking like, so there's that if you haven't gotten yourself an Xbone or PS4 yet.

Anyone know if the online uplay stuff has been fixed on the Rabbids Invasion for 360? I may just buy it since it's only $10 but I've read that you can't connect to the uplay servers and theres an achievement that needs the uplay bonuses.
 
So for Date Night we got Double D XXL. Good job, Xbox.

Don't let the name fool you: The Serious Sam games are a lot of fun.  Double D is a side scroller but you still kill thousands of enemies just like the first person shooter games before it. Violent, funny, cheap. What's not to like? 

Nothing interests me on the weekly deals front. Looking at the spring sales ....

Rayman Origins is better than any of the PS1/PS2 titles. Buy it on at least one console.

Guacamelee was a nice little platformer.

Trials is fun for a few minutes - just because I'd like to see how I can make the guy crash. Otherwise, pass.

Rock Band 3 speaks for itself. Is RBN still adding songs? For that matter, are any of them good (besides Even Rats)?

Fortunately, there are games I may pick up if their demos are any good:

TMNT (The Nickelodeon show is good, but is this version of Ninja Turtles?)

Geon  (Looks confusing and possibly annoying like Devil Dice)

Max: The Curse of Brotherhood (Misread this as a Sam and Max game at first.)
