It's not possible, unless your internal HDD is full, it will always automatically download to your internal HDD. but once it is full it will automatically pick the other device.

For an external HD for the 360 is it better to have it USB powered or have it's own power supply? Any brands to stick with or others one to avoid? Looking into getting a 1TB or larger one. Thanks gang!

They're quite different. I get in completely different moods for both. The pawn system in DD is really cool and if you have someone on your friends list who has a high level pawn, it can really get you through some of the difficult parts of the game. I love both games and highly recommend both. DD an easy purchase at the price it is now but it does take up a lot of hd space. More than 10 gbs I believe.

My guess is for less cable management, a USB powered one is sufficient.

One option is this 1TB for $60 or this for 1.5TB for $70. Opinions welcomed!

Well the Rare Kinect games are quite good and the best with Harmonix. The problem is that no one cares about Kinect games and those half dozen quality titles aren't enough to change anyone's mind.

Yeah, I have KS 1 & 2 and thought they were both pretty good (though obviously not old-Rare good), but I heard Rivals was terrible, even for fans of the 360 titles.

I'll believe it when I see it. After all, MS has owned Rare for 13 years. Capitalizing on things like Banjo should have been a priority even for 360 long ago.

I am trying to avoid the hassle of moving stuff off my current HD. Moving stuff takes forever and you can't queue it.

It's up to your preference, I stick to devices with own power supplies though, even better when they have an on/off option, but that's just an opinion. As for brands Seagate and Western Digital are probably the ones you want to stick with.

No problem I do the same..only have about 24 MB left on my internal HDD so everything new will be downloaded to my external hard drive. Seems much easier than download everything first and moving it after that, it saves you a lot of time!

Yeah, I looked at the 137 games I currently have on my internal 500 gb. If I deleted all the games I own disc copies of, that would open up a considerable amount of space. Even my favorite games such as Fallout 3 and New Vegas and Far Cry 3 aren't games that I play often. They're just there for convenience. I wish there was a way to simply select which games could go where but if that isn't an option yet, I'll just wait before buying an external hard drive.

Even ex-rare Developers know what they're doing, for example. There's a lot of things like teases from Robin Beanland (composer at Rare), Phil Spencer (mentions Gregg Mayles specifically.) hyping it up. The fact that Kinect is a dead product, etc.

I really don't see the complaints against Nuts and Bolts where it literally follows the same formulas as the original Banjo-Kazooie titles.

Not to mention Microsoft HAS captialized on Rare. Kameo, PDZ were good, Viva Pinata was an excellent new IP from the company, Nuts and Bolts, like it or not, sold well enough to be a Platinum Hit, Kinect Sports is a legitimately good series, etc.

the reason the quality of Rare has dwindled is more or less of the open approach of what Rare wants to do now. Even Playtonic has mentioned that the draconic iron grip of Microsoft is false, and it's implied that Rare had too much creative freedom for it's own good. Even to the point of internal splintering where small teams at the company would go off and do their own shit. The vision and direction at Rare broke because of Rare.

It depends. If you redeemed Microsoft points in the past, or if you had $/points back when they converted away from the points system, then some of your funds could expire. Best way to check is log in the Xbox website and check your funds. It will tell you expiration dates and how much will expire on those dates. I have $50 expiring June 1, and $20 expiring in Sept.

Ordered that 1.5TB WB drive from ebay for $70. It got very good reviews on Amazon. Between that, my 250GB internal HD and a 128GB flash drive(which I probably won't ever need), I am pretty sure I will never run out of space.

You may have issues with that drive having enough power from a single USB 2.0 port. USB 3.0 ports can provide up to 900mA of power while USB 2.0 ports can only provide 500mA of power.

The Wii U has had this issue for a while where it's strongly recommended to run a USB Y-cable for USB-powered drives so that one USB port provides power and the other one provides power + interface. A cable like this one:

You can go with a USB-powered drive that doesn't have a power brick, though if it's a USB 3.0 drive (like everything is these days), you really should get a USB Y-cable like that.

KoA is closest to a Bioware story focused game, like a brighter colored Dragon Age (before voice acted protagonist) with a bit more action oriented combat with MMO style quests. It has a pretty nice visual aesthetic, partially due to Todd McFarlane's involvement.

Dragon's Dogma is a cuhrazey-gameplay focused adventure with much of it's lore needing to be discovered like Demon's/Dark Souls. Most of the quests are either kill this or fetch that. It's the team that made the more recent DMC games (not DmC), so the combat feels awesome, and really stands apart from the other fantasy games. Most of the classes play and feel fairly different, and the pawn system for your party is a nice unique feature. I thought the world design was pretty good, though some feel it's a touch generic. The expansion area, Bitterblack Isle, that the Dark Arisen version added is fantastic, and tweaked a lot of the minor complaints people had.

Overall I think they're both worth checking out if you like fantasy RPGs, but I strongly preferred Dragon's Dogma. Try the demo if you're not sure. It gives you a decent taste of what you can do once you've leveled up a bit. If you really don't like the gameplay then you probably want to avoid it.

Now that the update is out, I have no idea what I should do with my removed 250GB original 360 hard drive. I removed it from its casing and installed the 2.5" as an internal in my 360 Slim, but I just used Minitool Partition Wizard to make a 1TB primary out of a larger external and moved everything over there.

Would anyone even buy the old MS-branded 250GB external if I sold it? Seems pretty useless now, especially without being able to connect to newer models.

I enjoyed the Tatooine DLC. The Jedi temple DLC was okay and I never played Hoth. The DLCs are pretty short. Less than an hour per DLC if my memory serves.
 
The sw:fu dlc are very short. They dont serve any real purpose to the story. They are just what if scenarios. They are fun. They also bring nostalgia and omg moments for the uber star wars fans. Basically: insert starkiller into all the important scenes in the star wars movies.

The thing that puts me off of the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter is that the console version is about $10 more than PC, so I'll let the rabid Banjo Kazooie fanbase pump all of their money into this. I wasn't exactly bowled over by Banjo Kazooie when I played it for the first time recently, so it's best for me to just wait and get a better product at launch for what I'm hoping is a better price.
