Me too, Madjoki.  I was hoping Amazon would have a decent deal/pricematch on a 970 GTX this weekend in honor of Memorial Day, but no such luck so far.  Finally planning on blowing the Bingbux I've been hoarding.

2.49? Psh, .99 or bust. I haven't even finished the first two.
Well obviously I'm waiting for free, but I mean, if you're weak, $2.49 is sort of acceptable.

Yes, shouldn't have. I'm now actively looking for new GPU.

only 4.5 years old mid-range GPU and already outdated :(
Fffft, I'm still doing fine on my five year old mid-range laptop GPU.

As long as I don't play any games on it, I mean.

My 3-4ish year old mid range laptop GPU is doing fine with most games, I mean have to turn down some setting but meh, not a big deal.

Granted I also don't go out and buy new games, only game I've bought for full price and new in the past year is Cities: Skylines (before that it was FM13 soo...yeah).

But are you guys talking about GPUs as individual cards or integrated cards? Both are a pain in the ass, but individuals are both more expensive and less powerful than desktop GPUs. I have an integrated card on my laptop, but I've got 12GB of RAM for it to use; while it's only DDR3, it still plays games pretty well. I turn down graphics to compensate for my shitty internet when playing online, otherwise I get low framerates, and that sucks in competitive multiplayer. But I'm using a one-year-old laptop to play pre-2013 games. I don't own Saints Row: Gat Out of Hell, but if I did, I would be playing it.

By the time there's a new driver released for a new card, you can already consider it outdated. Someone needs to get rich on a GPU rental/lease program.

Gamestop will give you $25 in store credit for your 970, then turn around and sell it for $200. Also, if you pre-order your next Titan with them, they will throw in a strategy guide.

Hey, we need to get all the Steam +1's that we can get.

It's actually a pretty good game! Just not something you can play in front of your girlfriend/family/friends/just about anyone without being judged.
that's Reverse Sexism right there.. Rumble Roses XX is the female wrestling game. I see nothing wrong with playing it... but of course, some ppl in this society frown on such notion.

All you younger folks who are going to see Max Max: Fury Road, BETTER have seen at least the first two (you can skip Beyond Thunderdome). The Road Warrior is still the best movie in the franchise by far IMO.

For those dying to know, Our Darker Purpose has two major problems. A.) Controller support is flawed. Can't remap buttons. Which is really problematic because the roll button(main charcter is slow, so it's used a lot to dodge) is RB and the xyab buttons are used to fire. For some reason can't use the right joystick to fire. Also, some of the keys just aren't mapped to the controller. To pick up items we have to hit F on the keyboard. 2) And a bigger problem there is  no save and exit feature.

Bytheway, binding of isaac: rebirth is better.

well, welcome to the blight that is called "modern rogue-like" genre, where shitty game design and lack of feature is masked under the pretense of "rogue-like feature"

I feel like any game that bills itself as similar to BoI isn't really worth playing. BoI already does what it does so perfectly, it's hard to imagine any clone of it not being a letdown. I tried Our Darker Purpose and quit after about 3 runs, it's just not that great comparatively, which is a shame because I really liked the aesthetics of it. Only way I'd suggest play a BoI clone is if you've played BoI to the point where you can't really stand looking at the game anymore but still want to get the same fix in.

So Raven's Cry is 50% off at MacGameStore/WinGameStore (Steam version) and there's an additional 5% of pcgames5off that can be used to bring it down to about $26. I know that's no amazing deal but it's a newish release and the first significant sale AFAIK.

Yo Bruticus, does it have any slight redeeming qualities at all or is it a complete flaming turd like pretty much every review makes it out to be? People say it needs patching but devs supposedly went tits up so that seems unlikely to happen at this point.

Having never even looked at screenshots i guarantee it's not worth anywhere close to 26 bucks.

Which is why I mentioned that.

I was pretty indifferent on Binding of Isaac. Also, don't know how this slipped past everyone's deal radar, but Ruby Tuesday now serves 25oz drafts.

LIES!!! ALL LIES! it's the game of the century. The pirate adventure game that we all deserve and here are the proof right on Steam page

Unfortunately, after the departure of some employees to CD Projekt, the studio was only about 30 people who were engaged in piracy sandbox Raven's Cry . It is this title probably sealed the sad fate of the developer. The game was allocated to Poles by German publisher, after his original developers failed in the task. In Krakow, production had to occur in a very short time and it practically from scratch, with a limited budget. Without much publicity and marketing campaign and after numerous release date shifts, Raven's Cry was released in January this year on the PC. Underdeveloped and full of bugs game was met with extremely cold adoption of the players and reviewers ( 4/10 rating on GRY-OnLine ). The scale of the failure shows the serviceSteamspy.com, which states that associated with Valve's platform title bought only a few thousand players. In the face of bankruptcy developer and ill-acceptance by the public, planned by the producers console versions likely will not see the light of day anymore.
the pissants should be glad that they are spared... of this turd

Could ask Bobby.. he got it free from Topware (and probably didn't play it).

I dunno, I think you could improve on Binding of Isaac pretty easily. Start with BoI and cut out the entire section of the game where every room is just two monstros over and over and over dragging one floor out to almost an hour. Or just design a real game instead of a crappy roguelike.

Granted, Monster Hunter seems like it would be fantastically easy to improve upon and nobody seems to get the fundamentals down pat while also fixing the problems in the MH formula so maybe it isn't as easy as it sounds.

I do wish somebody would make a good pirate rpg. All we have is what, Risen 2 and Raven's Cry?
Already been made, with historically accurate pirate-y stuff like...dancing and getting the "talk to the hand" by brunettes

I honestly can't think of a single good thing to say about Raven's Cry. I'll just the amazing UI speak for itself (and no, I'm not using a controller):

Many thanks Carlmundo. Paranormal State: Poison Spring

CAG outage forced me to play games in my backlog. I can only imagine the plight of some of the more seasoned users here. For the depths of my backlog obscure any sliver of starlight that may shine through my window. Picked up an Apple II GS in original packaging today from a relative. Oh joy.. another backlog to contribute to.

Rather than lurking RZRR8-MYX4C-49XY8 and remaining a thankless mooch, I shall use it to transform myself into a semi-lurking active contributor. Thank you!

Never was really into hidden object games, but there's no reason to not give this one a try now. At least it's spooooooky.

Wait, you're going to actually play a game? You are such a lurker.

Just tried this out. You can get Speed Runners, Fearless Fantasy, Lovely Planet or BOID. (might be one I'm forgetting). Is a pain though because you have to hand over app permission to something called woobox on twitter. I'm off to disable the blasted thing since it says I just gave it permission to change my profile or post. All this for a game I already owned.
Nice. I got Speedrunners, which I didn't yet have. Actually, I don't have Fearless Fantasy, either. I had decent odds with this one.

Just remembered I need to go watch the end of Murdered: Soul Suspect here soon-ish. Would have finished except for the stupid evil ghost "puzzle" thing or w.e. near the end, hated that feature through most of the damn game and that one was the final tipping point.

Downside, I forgot about when I uninstalled and decided to watch it sometime instead, I also forgot that any game with a story means checking out hundreds of youtube videos for the one person who isn't an idiot and thinks, "gee, I need to talk over this dialogue!"

It's actually a pretty good game! Just not something you can play in front of your girlfriend/family/friends/just about anyone without being judged.
The original Rumble Roses on PS2 was one of the few games my then girlfriend, now wife, would actually play with me.

I'm wondering when Raven's Cry is going to be bundled in a $1 Tier. That might be, when I leap on that one.

As cool as that game seemed in premise + concept, it really seems like it still was in a Pre-Alpha state, from when the reviews came out.

I actually caught the original Mad Max movie, last weekend.

Really dug it.

I do need to see the other 2 from the original trilogy (Road Warrior + Beyond Thunderdome).
