Is there still active CAG presence? I know there was a group at one time organized by he who must not be named. I haven't even started it yet because it because it seems less fun solo (and it's confusing as heck, so I'd need halp).
No clue about CAG presence in
TSW. Ain't played it in quite some time.
Given I am who I am - I played most of this game solo. So, no - I didn't do any of the team-based missions (which I didn't see much of on there, anyways). A lot of times, you'd be running around the map - and then, other people roaming (who might be doing the same mission) might come in for a moment + help you in a battle, and then move along.
I put in about 30 hours, dug it - and unfortunately never got back to it. I should get back to it, some day. I really dug the quality of writing, dialogue, and voice-acting. And the open-class system was really nice, as I basically was aiming for a gun-toting mage class combo who was a Illuminati member.
EDIT:
Combat feels like WoW - you click, it attacks, in its default w/ a locked-camera. I'm not a fan of this, in games that play more directly w/ the controls. I don't even use this style much in DA:I, as I prefer my mouse-looking. I think this WoW style of combat w/ the locked-cam fine for say a melee character, but not really for a projectile-tossing or gun-shooting character.
If you don't like the WoW style, there's a Toggle Target Mode combat switch (its in the Options menu under the Keybindings in Combat sub-section) to flip on-the-fly so it feels more like a typical action 3rd person game when you try to aim and mouselook at enemies, which is how I prefer to play when I'm casting spells or shooting guns + controlling my character's exact every movement.
Since you can switch b/t the two Combat modes on the fly - yeah, cue the "Best of Both Worlds" mantra I like to use a lot. Pick your poison at any time, on the fly.
