This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

Just another case of AAA publishers and major developers taking the cheap way out.  Sacred 3 was done by a studio that previously only made iOS/phone games.

So finally a pre-order that makes poopies pre-orders lool good. Congrats wb and rocksteady.

Posted this on Steam feed but more people need the lulz.  Better than TB's video (do NOT listen to this on speakers if you're not alone/in a public place):

If I can tolerate you guys writing endlessly about Final Fantasy and Visual Novels, you can put up with my rants on video card hierarchy. :oldman:

Oh, and my Batman cards have skyrocketed from .11 to .17 -- so who's laughing now, fuckers? :D/

Remember when you used to regularly be able to get 20 cents for a card and you could actually sell foils?

It's sad that 17 cents is hot shit now. Well I guess that's still over 3 times what you can get for Arkham Knight from Playfire at least.

Between how little you get for cards and the fact that you don't start getting them until after two hours of game time it's almost not even worth idling for cards. I idled mine before the sale and listed about 20-25 cards or so and only got a few bucks. Almost more trouble than it's worth.

Edit: Oh, so I refunded an item over 8 days ago and was told the funds would be added to my Steam wallet within 7 days, and they still haven't been, so that's cool. Just submitted a message to Steam support and since they tend to get back to you SOOO QUICKLY I'm assuming this will all be cleared up sometime tomorrow afternoon.

Summer Sale going on at WinGameStore/MacGameStore.

Highlights for today include Fahrenheit: Indigo Prophecy Remastered (if you missed the Nuuvem deal) and Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions, both 75% off.

Use promo code macgames5off when buying from MacGameStore for an additional 5% off.
And if you buy anything from the WinGameStore use promo code PCGAMES5OFF for, well, 5% off.

$0.19 was saved! Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions is finally mine! I'm not joking. I bought it.

*coming soon to a bundle near you*

Got a foil card from creating my first Mahjong Pretty Girls Battle: School Girls Edition booster pack. Suck it.

Uh, can't sell it yet. Crap.

y wud an activision game b bundled??

Anyway, I bought it too. It's a good price for what looks like a solid game, which is unlikely to be bundled.

It's bad.

I'll do a Steam review later. Have to push through the last 15% or so of the game.
This is the same idiot that said Warlock 2 was terrible and proceeded to play 300 hours. It's rare that I don't exaggerate but I'll make an exception in this case. Mooby is the dumbest "gamer" I've ever had the displeasure of knowing in my life.

Changed my mind on Risen 3. Everyone who bought it go get a refund.
Mooby based on your glowing praises of the Risen Series, I'd started Risen 1. Which is not horrible given what it is, a fairly run-of-the-mill 3rd person RPG. On one hand, I'm glad I'm playing it now, so that I can harness the power of Google to be aware of bugs in archery, monster spawning and possible false choices of there being "different" classes (my jury is still out on that one). On the other, having that power and knowing what bugs lie ahead, sort of kills some of my desire to continue.

TLDR: I blame Mooby for wasting my time recommending the Risen series, when he should have steered me to a real RPG like Sonic Racing.

I thought that was the running joke. Buy a game and make a future sacrifice to the bundle gods. y u make me look stoopid!?

Yes, Geometry Wars 3: Dimensions for $3.55 (76% off) is a great price. I was hoping for a discount like that during the summer sale but it only hit $7.34 (51% off). That's easily the new lowest price to date. Plus it has Steam friend leaderboards! Which only shows that I'm bloody awful so far. :joystick:

Hmm, to actually request a refund or not. I think Mooby is trying to trick us. He just wants Risen 3 all to himself.

Quick question: I have Steam on my SSD, but the majority of my games stored on my HDD. Since "they say" B:AK runs better off the SSD, I'd like to install it to my SSD. Is there a way I can move the files from my hdd to the ssd and have Steam recognized (or re-install) from there, or do I have to D/L directly to the SSD. Note: when setting up Steam, I allocated two spaces for game installs, one on the ssd, one on the hdd. Is it a simple drag and drop from one to the other or are there more steps? Thanks in advance.
I didn't see this as a response: If you don't want to have to download again, try Steam Mover. I use it regularly to shuffle things around. it works pretty well.

Go into Steam's options, add a new game folder, close Steam, move the specific game's folder to the new folder (with the appmanifest file, I think it's 208650), restart Steam, right click and verify files, you're done.

It's 2015, and Steam added an official way to have multiple folders. This tool is useful but it's not needed anymore.

I haven't really splurged on my Game PC since 2012. Here's the Core:

  • SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 7970 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 (2012), ($550-ish iirc)
  • G.SKILL Ares Series 32GB (4 x 8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) ($98 in 2012, before ram prices went insane)
  • ASRock Z77 Extreme4 LGA 1155 Intel Z77 HDMI SATA 6Gb/s USB 3.0 ATX Intel Motherboard (2012)
  • i7 3770K - Intel Retail Edge Program (2012) ($119)
Guess an easy upgrade is to get an affordable matching 7970 to crossfire into 7990 land.

For the record, my PC: i7 4790k, GTX 970, 16 GB RAM

Its use these days is limited but, if the question is "How can I move a 40gb game to another drive?" then Steam Mover is a good answer. Beats another big download and reinstall.
