Not sure why everyone bought that, didn't look appealing at all from the video/screenshots on the store page.
I used to like Alex Kidd back in the day and like I said when I bought it it made me think of a psychotic Alex Kidd on acid.

I actually intend to try it some time soon but I think I will need to pull a Drabe and get drunk to properly enjoy it.

*Edit: Also there's this review:

Tebow says you better call your senator because reasons. Or else you'll lose your job, be poor and forced to buy expensive stuff. You'll also be sent to Malkan's spanking loco moco diaper cage for vengeance.

For anyone who loses their job and can't afford to pay for pricy stuff there's some job openings at the spanking loco moco diaper cage. We're looking for enthusiastic people and have flexible hours and benefits. Being able to speak coherent english is not necessary.

BL: TPS observation: Most people have an Australian accent, like Janie and The Meriff, but the Pickles use Cockney rhyming slang. Cockney rhyming slang substitutes a phrase that rhymes with the word in place of said word, yet he says the rhyme and says the word right after (i.e. "steak and kidney pie fly"). So it's British and dumbed down for us Americans. LeBron Dunkins or whatever the basketball player's name is uses Ebonics, but I doubt that's dumbed down for Brits and Aussies. Thanks, 2K Australia.

Batman: Arkham Knight PC.

Gary Lake-Schaal of WB put up a post on Steam of what PC users currently should be setting Batman AK PC at, depending on their hardware:

http://steamcommunity.com/games/208650/announcements/detail/145587678164818505

In short, 30 FPS cap at...

Min specs = 720p w/ Most Stuff listed on either Low or Off.

Rec specs = 1080 w/ V-Sync + AA On; Textures, Shadows and LOD at Normal; and Special Effects stuff are OFF.

EDIT:

If you bought from GMG - looks like GMG might will be accepting refunds, after a fix patch is issued if their PC gamers ain't happy w/ Batman AK PC still:

Been playing Strider. It's a good and fun game... But a little bland. I should've played it on a harder difficulty (I'm on "normal").

The one thing I HATE is... Can't skip cinematics. And there are cinematic before each boss. So you end up trying to beat the boss just to not watch it all again.

I can recommend the game. The original is a lot better, but also hard as... (she said that)

Wow, back to less than a page a night. So much easier on these ol' eyes.
Fallout 4 will be okay, though. Right guys? GUYS?!?
Were you not around for the FO3 controversy? Or the FONV issues? Or all the Skyrim issues?

Just sit yourself down and enjoy the bugs. Some of them are quite hilarious. Some really suck.

The thing was - at least you could run FO3, FO:NV, and Skyrim out-the-box at worthwhile settings.

There were still tons of graphical settings + options that had sliders, could be enabled/disabled, and whatnot.

This don't even look to be the case w/ Batman: AK, even if you have a rocket-ship of a PC.

You have to literally go through the INI files to lift the 30 FPS cap + change other things - which might be untested, but shouldn't be too hard to do since it's an Unreal Engine game.

Oh, I remember some NPC's disappearing in FO3 to some unknown island - hehe.

I didn't have FO:NV week of release (got it a few months later, when some patches were behind it) - but yeah, some of the graphical bugs were hilarious...hehe.

I love Rocksteady's "someone else did the port" excuse for Batman.

We outsourced the port, apparently did no quality control or testing to make sure it was done right and then pushed it out the door for $60 a pop -- but don't blame us!

They should just sell you a box full of bees.  "Don't blame us -- we paid someone else to put the bees in there!"

Tebow is engaged to Audrey Marie? WTF.. since when he divorced the last girl?

That's just silly. I have a good PC, but it's not an enthusiast-level machine or anything, and it runs great. There are tons of options for you to turn on and off right in the menu if you have frame rate issues; it's not at all a bare-bones port. To lift the 30 FPS cap you edit ONE LINE in Notepad (whew - tough stuff).

I hate that lots of people seem to be having difficulty running the game at levels they deem to be acceptable because the game looks great, plays great, and so far the story is very interesting. So far, the open world from City is a little more focused in parts (like Asylum). It seems to be a good combination of both.

AK seems to be a great game, on par with the first two, and it's a shame it may not be optimized enough for everyone to enjoy it. The real shame, however, is that the issues seem to have created a crowd of people who have already jumped to the conclusion that because there are technical issues for some that it's a terrible game. I can't imagine that these things won't be addressed in some way because the engine is rock-solid and well-tested. People need to chill out and wait to see what happens. In the meantime, people always have the option to upgrade their hardware a bit and bypass any optimization problems.

For the record, my PC: i7 4790k, GTX 970, 16 GB RAM

Okay but why should people have to do that? This is 2015 and PC gaming is not some new or underground thing.

That's just ignorance and/or laziness on their part. It's also indicative of how little effort has been made to know the market they are selling to.

I just got an email from Steam, "Steam Account Password Reset", and it has a five letter verification code. That's it.

Is someone trying to get into my account?

Well, the real question is why would it be locked at 30 FPS to begin with? Possible oversight? Who knows? A lot of stuff is carried over from one platform to the next.

The game is far more graphically intense than the previous two games, so people should not expect the same performance. I do wish Rocksteady had handled its own port because I have to believe fewer people would be having issues. .

Possibly. Or Steam's just being a silly. Same thing happened to me some time ago; I just changed my password and went on with my no-life.

They even forgot to edit the 30 FPS cap for console. sound like a straight copy and paste console-to-pc port, w/o any optimization or testing.

We need to stop white knighting such laziness

if you feel ok with such shoddy effort, why should they take you seriously when they make their next PC port? Why would they take you seriously as a platform at all?

In all honesty, the PC version of Arkham Knight is a turd. Now, depending on completely random variables and hardware configurations, it may stink more or less to any one PC gamer.

The obvious answer to me is because the console version is locked at 30fps and the people they outsourced to do the port didn't know any better or didn't care.

Hey, I'm all for beating down the doors of a studio that drops a game onto PC with zero effort (no graphical/resolution options, poor kb/m mouse support, poor hardware support), but I guess I grew up in an era where editing a single line in an ini wasn't such a crime. But I realize that day has come and gone, and if there aren't brightly colored buttons for everything on the in-game menu then it upsets a lot of people.

Should they have left in that line of code? Absolutely not. FPS restrictions have no place in PC gaming.

But out of all the issues people seem to be having with the game, should that be the poster child? The rallying cry? Hell no! It makes everyone look like a bunch of whiny babies. Make a fuss about the real issues.

While everyone has framerate issues on their brand new batman game, I'm sitting here playing my own day one purchase that's running smooth as silk.

damn it feels good to be a gangsta

There's a few more days left for anyone that wants to get in on the giveaways I have up for Tomb Raider, Borderlands 2, and Prince Caspian with pretty good odds.  PM me if you want in and I'll send the info if I recognize you from the PC threads.

Ah, the days of AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS.

Edit: Why is everyone saying a 970 is a budget card? Unless you got it from a Microcenter glitch, the card by itself is almost the same price as a current generation console. That's not budget / mid-range. Not even close.

i consider it upper mid-range

Oh thank you IndieGala!

Guys.. guys.. magicka is finally in a bundle!
I know we love to joke about Magicka sales, but that's actually an amazing deal for anybody who wants to try it out or maybe doesn't have any or very many of the DLC.

3.89 for Magicka, Wizards of the Square Tablet and 22 DLC is a sweet deal. (for the small group of people who don't already own Magicka) :)

It's mid-range. The Titans are high-end.

and this is only the upper 40% of that GPU hierachy list. the list continues with 50 more entries below the screenshot.

I dont think the GTX 970 is mid range
