That's the one where your spaceship is basically acting like Zero-G Tarzan swinging from space vine to space vine right?

Damn. Looks like I have separate playthroughs for 100% and commando in Bionic Commando. Good news is that my commando playthrough is about halfway through the game and I dont have much in the other playthrough. Forgot how whacky the controls can get, but when you get a good swing going it is petty fun.
It's a shame they had to be idiots and disable trophies when you replay levels, If you miss any of the combat challenges or collectables (which I did) you have to play the entire game over again.

Odin Sphere: Leifdrasir is confirmed to be cross-save across all systems, and it'll have a "Classic Mode" that will basically be the original game HD-ified: http://gematsu.com/2015/07/odin-sphere-leiftrasir-ps2-original-classic-mode
A mod from that site posted a few things/improvements they noticed during a stream of this:

A few things I noticed from the stream which are honestly a vast improvement and just small shortcuts that could make this super fluid.
--- Inventory looks to be divided by item types. So flasks, fruits, veggies and so on go on their respective part of the bag. This is great for organisation purposes.

--- It looks like you can now select multiple items to use at once in a sort of queue-like system. I.E. select 2 fruits and the character will eat them subsequently.

--- It seems that Psypher skills can now be set to shortcuts allowing you to pull off fast combos fluidly without droping the pace of a battle.

--- Psypher skills are divided between Magic and Action; magic will consume phozons (the little purple energy floating around) and action will consume POW (the multi-colored gauge in the HUD). This means that pulling off combos is now more dependent on POW, which is replenished by standing still or getting hit.

--- The Alchemy system looks more fluid and you can apparently just do it in your menus without having the resulting mixture fall from your Inventory (like in the original). This means that strong mixtures can be created on the fly without having to worry about pinch situations while picking it up from the floor.

It seems also that the same queue system can be used for alchemy. Meaning that you can now just put a bunch of items at once.

The Pacers will wear the uniforms from the movie Hoosiers as an alternate uniform next season.

That's somehow even worse than the new Bucks jerseys.

The calm before the storm, currently have no physical games to play besides Madden 15 I play on the side, but I have preordered and fully paid off: Madden 16, Mad Max, Metal Gear Solid, Uncharted Collection, and Fallout 4...  And I will also be getting FIFA 16, NHL 16, and possibly NBA 2k16...  Things are about to get crazy!

Things are going to be rough from September onwards. I know many here weren't sold on Fallout 4 (Top, you gotta believe) but I know that game is going to fucking wreck me being so close to me taking the LSAT.

My haul from the Best Buy half-off glitch plus Bethesda's track record for their games being buggy at release mean that I'll be waiting a bit before jumping into FO4.

Oh and I think I want to get Until Dawn because I think the wife might actually play since she loved heavy rain.  Still remember coming home one day to her actually playing alone, that was a first.

I just had a thought, if Nintendo does let them release Bayonetta 2 at a later date on other consoles (due to exclusively deal ending or something), they could always replace the Arwing segment with the jet from After Burner. I bet they could even reuse assets from After Burner Climax and wouldn't have to build hardly anything new.

I never had the myriad problems everybody reported on Skyrim/Fallout 3/ New Vegas. *Knocks on wood* But I agree they should be criticized a lot for how poor the experience has been for the majority of people.

He was "flying".  Its really hard to do what that guy did.  And I believe he got lucky at the end where he kind of came down sideways and he landed at the same time as the ball bounced into him.

Still flying all the way down the field is impressive.

Just need to grind through this last 40 floor dungeon and then I'll be done with Sorcery Saga. All of the item management and feeding of your companion takes all the fun out of it.

what in the actual hell
Clearly I've been playing this game wrong the whole time.

Cro mentioned a flying gif a while back and supposedly it is part of the advanced tutorial which I have not even done yet. Like wren mentioned, I am guessing it is much harder to do than it seems in those gifs since I have not seen anyone do it in any of our matches.

Speaking of tons of games releasing. When the hell is Killing Floor 2 coming out dammit?! Still nothing but "2015".  So either it slips or it will be another one for the holidays.  Dummies always release all their games during the holidays and wonder why they dont sell alongside the other million games.

Yeah - the timing is amazing but it at least looks like he's kind of pulsing his boost to adjust at the end to align horizontally. luck or not, that's pretty awesome. my skills are extremely subpar, but I want to play more. I bet an actual tournament with people that are good would be pretty fun to watch for a bit. I played some randoms this morning and there was a guy who clearly had game - he was bounce passing it off the wall to himself or something and had incredible aim high in to the goal.

Yeah, I can fly a bit, but not all the way down the field and certainly not with any real purpose.

No doubt it's difficult to do, I haven't seen anyone fly half as far even in random matches. Dude definitely got super lucky with the bounce, and with no one hitting the ball out from under him. Gonna have to try for some flight time now tho lol, best I've been able to do as far as aerial balls go is jumping off the sides and knocking the ball on the way down.

I'm definitely trying to get better at dealing with ramping up/down the walls and launching off. that seems like a generally more useful tool than flight even if it isn't nearly as cool to watch. I've seen some people do some fun stuff dropping/launching off the wall above the goal too. I guess I should practice actually hitting the ball.

I am always willing to play more RL with a group.   That shit is almost as fun as Burnout Paradise which I will also play at any time.  Except this week Bums and I are going to try and play Alien Breed co op.   Unless he wants to play RL as well in between.

You seem to talk a lot about vinyl sets. Do you listen to any of them or just collect them?
Listen. Wouldn't mind getting a couple as a collectors/framing kinda deal tho. Currently trying to build up my collection in general tho and I keep coming across more video game music ones than I'd expect lol. Most of which seem to come packaged with really nice artwork.

Rocket League is a blast to play.  It's definitely become the game of the summer for my kids.  My son had a friend over on Sunday and they played RL for three hours straight.

Me: You guys want something to drink or a snack?

Them: No.

Me: You guys want to play something else? (Because dad would really like to play RL.)

Them: No.

Me: You guys want to go outside? (Because dad would really like to play RL.)

Them: No.

I'll freely admit that most of my 'epic' goals have been pure luck, and for every one of those there are probably a half-dozen wide open goals I've missed.  It's just a fun game.  My PS4 still hates it from time to time, though.

I still need about 100 games to unlock everything, and I was going to see how far I've driven before using the rubberband method for the 'Far, Far Away...' trophy.  Speaking of that trophy, it says you need to travel 500 km, but my distance traveled is reported in miles.  I'm thinking maybe the trophy totals the distance traveled of all four wheels; 500 km = 311 miles, 311 miles/4 = 78 miles per wheel.  That's about when the trophy seems to pop for most people.

I thought about collecting vinyl, but where would I put them? And I don't have a record player so I'd need that too. I do kind of miss CDs. Going to the record store and picking up a new CD. I never had records, but if you're going to collect you might as well get big artwork.

Yeah, the distance traveled trophy is so fucked it counts every wheel or tire separately, it doesnt count ALL wheels combined from the different cars, and it doesnt count online (possibly only private matches affected) games.

#stupidtrophy

I told you trophies were dumb.

sleuthing skill, definitely on point. I noticed the miles vs km thing but I never would've put the per wheel thing together.
