Okay I almost had a Donald Trump moment.

Today we had a global town hall scheduled and booked a conf room for the entire team.  The call is scheduled at 915 so we got to the room at 910 but someone was already there.  We waited a bit and then finally I had to knock and walk in and tell them we had the room at 915.  The woman running the meeting immediately started talking about how rude I was being and that she was in the middle of the meeting.  I immediately apologized and tried explaining that we also needed to conduct a meeting and I had the entire team in another building so I just wanted to check that she reserved the room.  She again said how rude I was and showed me her reservation.  Okay, my apologies, we must be double booked I said.  She goes back to sit down mumbling obscenities directed at me.  Meanwhile I apologize again for interrupting.

As soon as we get out of the building and I feel the heat and humidity I start cursing and telling her to fuck off even though she isnt there.  "That fuck ing bitch, what did she think? I wanted to be rude? I had a fuck ing meeting scheduled too!  fuck!"  My team seemed to like that.

I was really close to asking if she had blood coming out of her ears...nose...or wherever.  Good thing I am not Trump and didnt do that.

So far Everybody's Gone to the Rapture is interesting.  It looks amazing, and I am very interested in finding out what happened.  but agree on all the reviews, no need to have your person walk so slow, there should be a run button.  Sometimes I am exploring, miss a place, and have to go back, it takes forever!

Trophies will actually take a while, and until there is a guide may be pretty tough, but about half I have seen how to get them on PS trophies website.

It may have been (and still might be) glitchy/buggy, but at least Ether One features both a run-button and the ability to save anywhere.

I got Rapture too, been playing a little while.

It's pretty cool, I also wish you could move a little faster. I am very interested in seeing where this game goes.

The dynamic theme is pretty nice too.

Ended up grabbing Disgaea 3, Danganronpa 2, Element4l, Flying Hamster HD, and Mens Room Mayhem. Was tempted to buy a bunch more of the Disgaea stuff, but it'll take me forever to get through 3 as it is.

Thanks for the tip on that. I haven't gotten it yet, was just hoping I'd either glitch it or get it naturally. But I don't use the specials enough for that to have happened yet, I'll probably try for it tonight.
I will check when I get home and see what level my Zero was at when I got the trophy. If you are level 31 or better you might want to respec it as the link below details and see if you can't kill 3 bullymongs with melee for the trophy.

Now that I think about it perhaps I brought my Zero over from PS3 vs starting a new one on PS4. Either way at level 31+ you should hopefully be able to get it legit pretty easy.

Trying to decide on Danganronpa. Has anybody played it that DIDN'T like it?

If I liked 999, does that mean I will automatically like it, or are they not compareable beyond the walls of text?

Maybe a simpler question, did anyone that liked 999 and VLR, play Danganronpa and not like it?
I am about 2.5 chapters in and I am enjoying it, but not as much as VLR. Whereas VLR is just straight visual novel with non-timed room puzzles, Dangan introduces a few extra gamey mechanics such as instead of just objecting to an untrue statement that pops up, you have to shoot down other statements blocking it and then aim and fire a "truth bullet" (evidence which contradicts the statement) at the scrolling statement. Each trial also ends with a short rhythm game for some reason.

Also whereas VLR characters felt more grounded from the start, they have a few too many characters at the beginning of Dangan so many of them feel more like stereotypes than actual characters. Some of that starts to fall away as the cast is pared down so by late in the game perhaps that will have all changed.

Monokuma (Zero-esque surrogate for the villain who runs the game) is probably the most entertaining thing about the game so far as it is delightfully unhinged with excellent voice work.

So VLR is story + escape room puzzles + branching story paths + more grounded characters VS. Danganronpa 1 is story + phoenix wright-esque evidence gathering / trials + one story path + social links + more outlandish characters.

was really tempted to get natural doctrine, but i think i might spend a couple extra to get a physical copy of it.

Got tracking information for my copy of IA/VT last night. Should be here for Thursday. Am I still beating pancakes?

I'm not sure if I should grab anything else. Maybe Pier Solar, but it seems to have inherent flaws: http://www.rpgfan.com/reviews/Pier_Solar_and_the_Great_Architects_HD/index.html
Apparently the latest patch fixed a bunch of issues (including New Game+ and Encounter Slider added, and the plat is now obtainable), so I might buy this now. The TT score is also insane.

If anyone else is considering it, this post made only a few days ago might be worth reading just so you know what you might be getting into:

Even with the patch, this game has issues. Control is a major one. The fact that my characters "slide" when hitting obstacles makes searching for secret passages a nightmare. The game vastly overuses the "hide in the background" trick. It would be nice to have a slight camera turn, like BoF 3, if you want to do this.

Gather is such a primitive system, and I'm surprised people praise it so much. The best way to progress, post-patch, is to raise encounters to 8x, grind for 15-30 minutes, and then lower it to zero to forward the story.

Also, I can't believe no one had knocked the lousy inventory system. Would it be so hard to have a single inventory menu, in one (or two) columns?

All in all, as much as I like the spirit behind it, this game fails to channel even GOOD SNES-era JRPGs, to say nothing of the great ones.

Personally, I don't think those aspects sound too bad, especially for $4.50.

What, did you buy Pier Solar?

And as I keep saying, Dec. 2013 is when I started my Plus membership.
I've got it on PC. I think from GS somewhere, too. Maybe.

Whose profile did you snip this from?

Which platform are you getting ND on when you grab it? And yeah physical is the way to go unless it goes ~$5 on PSN. The game is punishingly difficult and will fuck you over and over again until you get a very good understanding of the battle system and resign yourself to losing ~30-45 minutes of progress to bad luck repeatedly.

just legend of korra and element4l for me this week, but I think I'll like both of them so hooray.
Korra is good. I really need to get to Element4l soon, looks fun.

Vita. Yeah, all that is why I want to give it a shot. Also the reason why I'd rather get a physical copy.

Thanks, even I signed up. It looks like a rare FPS I could get into with the team based aspects. That is why I like PayDay.
Yeah the co-op aspect is what interests me too. I bought the original Rainbow 6 on PS3 (At Sears in a clearance bin) hoping my nephew would want to play it with me. He played about 5 mins of it and said he didn't like it. I think I played through the campaign and a bit of co-op but not too much. I do recall the co-op was pretty fun at the time.

This is one of the games BB is giving $10 back on if you pre order so there is a good chance I will pick it up. Depending on what I am playing at the time and what is coming out around the same time.

I ended up getting:

Pinball Arcade Season 1 & 2

Men's Room Mayhem

Kung Fu Rabit

Disgaea Infinite

Starlight Inception

(should have picked up Dagonropa or one of the Disgea Vita games, but I'm hoping they'll be less than $16 eventually)

Finished my The Swindle review.

http://invertedaccess.com/2015/08/11/the-swindle-review/

Just pasting from the review:

"The Swindle is one of the more polarizing games I’ve played in recent memory. There are times I’m ready to rage quit due to difficult enemy spawns, imprecise platforming, or simply due to a bad decision that I make because I’m not being patient or not thinking things through. And yet, I found myself going back to The Swindle regularly to try new strategies and tools. Right now, The Swindle is a good game with potential to be great. Here’s hoping the developer chooses to support the game for a while and turn The Swindle into something amazing."

So we're all voting for Grow Home, right?
I am, yeah. Zombie Vikings would probably be ok (and will almost for sure win) but I'm going with Grow Home.

I bet Armello is cool but it's just not my genre of choice.

I wonder if EU and NA votes are counted separately or together. I'd guess all together.

Right after you posted that:

Yeah.

"I also wasn’t a big fan of the final level. I won’t go into way too much detail, but suffice it to say that it’s quite tough. There are multiple security terminals that have to be disabled, and sometimes (based on random placement) you just don’t have enough bombs to get to all of them. The final escape also came off as unfairly difficult."

is my PC way of saying the final level is a huge unfair bitch.
