This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Man, why do you guys always want me to open and play the game before the event? I prefer opening it for the first time right when the event starts and then asking other people to figure out if it has MP and how it works.

I looked up max players and it says infinite if you use some hosting software so that clearly doesn't apply here. Otherwise the default is 8 which is more than enough I think. We usually max out at 7-8 bros tops.

I started a MP server to host and did not notice any options for permadeath. Just the normal mode and a harder mode. Does the harder mode have permadeath? We'll probably do normal mode since we usually just dick around and take ass pics.

I also only played a little Zombi last night before I fell asleep for five hours on the couch (presumably not related). It seemed pretty good except that there are no graphic quality options which I find pretty annoying. The game looks like it has promise but I won't know until I'm out of the tutorial-style beginning.

I noticed the lack of graphic options too, but it ran pretty smoothly for me with my 2GB of old VRAM on a Radeon 6xxx series card so seems like it might be okay. I didn't run fraps to see how many FPS I was getting, but I was too busy bashing a zombi's head in so I could steal their bug out bag because survival.

Allrighty, I have an overpowered character that's currently close to unlocking hard mode but I have some extra stuff for a lower level one. I'll see if I can drop by.

I think the hardest mode is permadeath but maybe I'm wrong. I only ever played it on normal. On normal, you respawn but you lose your stuff and have to go back to get it off your corpse. I think there's an easier casual mode where you respawn with your stuff but, again, it's been every bit of 2+ years since I've played it.

I have some extra stuff for a lower level one. I'll see if I can drop by.

Oh if foxhag is playing I'm there. Will you get on team speak? Do you have a stereotypical Mexican accent? If you don't can you just use one when you talk?

Don't let Drabe scare you off, he'll just log on for 5 minutes, never say a word, and then presumably pass out drunk never to be heard of again.

Alas, I have no microphone. My headset broke and I'm using cheapy dollar store headphones in the meantime.

Eh, I got it via the NVidia promo for the equivalent of $20, but can't care any less about no preloading. With Steam, I find downloading at release faster than preloading with unlocking 99% of the time. It'd be nice if theres a midnight launch, but even there a few more hours doesn't bother me. IMO no preloading only affects those with terrible DL speeds.

I have a strange accent. Not neutral spanish. Something between Cuban and Venezuela people, if that it's ok for you. I also have mic.

I wish I could be there, but I will be sleeping.....do it sooner guys!!!!!!!!!!

Figured I'd point it out - some people really love the Souls series & play the hell out of it...so some might be willing to break at weaker discounts on this one.

DS2: Scholars does have all DLC, better graphics, and game's supposedly been somewhat remastered/reworked - so, there's other things to consider there for people who don't own any version of DS2.

I haven't finished Dark Souls 1: PTD.

DS2: Scholars is not cheap enough for me yet, especially since I ain't finished DS1: PTD.

But, it is getting cheaper - so, that's a hopeful sign. :)

DS2 (original edition) & DS2: Scholars of the Sins Edition are separate entries in Steam library:

Don't expect saves to be compatible b/t the old and new version, which is mentioned here:

Online play, saves and achievements between these two versions are incompatible. Purchasing one version will not get you access to the other version. System requirements also differ. Please compare the individual game pages for more details.

I have a confession bros.  I think I like PewDiePie.  I know.  I'm so sorry.  I didn't go into it thinking I was going to fall for him.  I was just hooked by him playing random stupid games I never heard of.   What can I say?  I'm weak.  Maybe aliens switched my soul with that of a teenage boy.  It's gotten so bad I even found the spanish PewDiePie.  His name is German.  I think he is from Chile and I like his videos too.  Perdonenme hermanos!!!!

Moving to something less despicable:

Does the fast travel/sewer loading screen music in Zombi feel weirdly out of place to anyone else? I can't place my finger on the specific instrument, but it sounds like a sickly saxophone, whining out it's death rattle.
