Yeah thanks but shit like this actually bothers me. If you have something for sale I should be able to do a simple search and see it. I did a search for samsung TV and a bunch came up but not this one. Shouldnt ALL SAMSUNG TVs populate? Clearly you dont want to sell it if not. I used the model number even too and it didnt come up. Dumb

Thankfully I dont need a 40 incher. I am looking at 55 if Ultra or 60 plus if I stick with 1080.

So I bought my parents a sofa set and got a $800 gc for Bestbuy to buy a tv with. I could just go on a spree and preorder a shit ton of games but I think it is time to upgrade from my 24 inch tv to something bigger. Anyone have any recommendation, what size tvs do you guys own?
If you are used to a 24 inch, then I think I would go with 40-43 inches. Simply upgrading to 32 inches, I think you will wish you went bigger rather quickly. And as Mild mentioned, they are so cheap, a 43 inch is not that much more $$$ than a 32 inch anyways. Plus 43 will seem huge compared to what you are used to.

If you go to Costco, and get a 43 inch or so, take it home, and then regret not getting the bigger, you can fairly easily return it for a bigger one.

Vizio 43 inch, 1080p, smart LED, 3 HDMI $370.00.

I just can't believe how cheap these tv's are anymore.

It doesn't make sense for Shutshimi to be considered a "small game" while Super Exploding Zoo is apparently a "large/big game". Doesn't this also contradict what that other dev said on NeoGAF about developers having free reign for adding plats?
I'm pretty sure they could have chosen the plat option but they probably didn't want to spend much more time on it even they probably should have. I'm just repeating what I remember from the stream session. They said they wanted to add more trophies but they were put in the small game list.

I'm caught up on Metal Gears so I'm ready for MGSV Day 1! :D/
Can anyone sum up the metal gear solid franchise in 50 words or less so I never have to play 1 minute of any of them? Obviously spoiler tagged as I don't want anyone else here having a conniption fit.

Pancakes, even if its just for your room you need to do 40 inch at least but dont need to do 4k at those sizes either.   You wont get any benefit and there isnt much content out anyway.  So you can get a "cheap" 40 or 42 inch 1080p at BB that is real good.

This is my current gaming TV and its fuck ing awesome.  Games look fantastic.  Not too big.  I only sit a few feet away from it.  Less than $500 is crazy.

If you want to save almost a hunded either Samsung or Vizio (M series is upgrade over E series) are nice.  Also, you can go bigger at 43 for either brand and still spend less than the Sony but fuck it, get the Sony and keep it in the family!

Actually, I asked them in the chat about it and posted Tyler's article with the info from Neogaf which they read. They said they did not setup the trophy stuff and had no idea about the small and big list. They wished it had a platinum and said they would have liked for the awardments to map to trophies. Their publisher apparently dealt with the trophy setup as part of certification, they were not directly involved.

Also, just because Super Exploding Zoo had a plat, it is a rather weak argument that this game should. The real question is should Super Exploding Zoo have had one in the first place.

4 hdmi, nice. I have a 32" Bravia with 3 and I wouldn't mind just getting another one but every tv I look at has 2 hdmi inputs.

Devs mentioned that they never saw this option personally, but that maybe it was something the publisher had picked for them. Would make some sense of the confusion around some devs seeing this option and others not.

Edit: whoops, gator'd

First of all, Target search sucks.

Second of all, how did you not get it via the item number? That what I copied and pasted to get the link I posted. Popped right up.

Fourth of all, tacos.

Yeah, I love the stand the TV sits on too and the real small/silver bezel. Sony has a real sense of style. Although most TV brand are heading that way now.

Smaller the bezel the better I say!

Ahh that makes sense gator,  I knew that I wasn't remembering it correctly.  I must have been in a daze from Tyler's killer Shutsegmi skills.

Also I guess I'm the only one that doesn't care how many HDMI inputs a TV has.  I'll definitely check out the sony one.  Might as match it with all my sony stuff.

You probably had sniffed a beer before joining chat and were still buzzed. Sage and I had your back :)

I kind of care, but I am not sure why. I have an HDMI switching receiver that I use so I only need 1. I would be lying if I said I did not look at the number when I was deciding on what TV to get though. I have a 55" Samsung Smart TV. I kind of wish it was a 65" though since I sit about 12' away.

Yes Target search sucks, but that should be a basic function that should work near flawlessly. Get on that Zimm.

I used the MODEL number, not item number. I didnt look at your link long just saw the model under the name and thought that should work. But nope. Also if I were just searching randomly I woudnt have an item number so I wouldnt know it. So again, they should have a functioning search for fucks sake.

Tacos sound great. I had shitty frozen dinner I heated up in the microwave.

Dude that secondhand buzz is potent.

So what I'm getting from this conversation is that you like it big and Wren likes it small.

Just get an actual DS3. You will be shocked how long a new one will keep a charge and how much tighter it feels compared to an old one. I got one with a Vita TV package and I am happy I got it.
If you keep your eye out for periodic sales, they'll often go for $30-40 too. There are a few combo packs for decent pricing on amazon but it looks like you already have most of the games included in the reasonably priced ones. Maybe the R&C HD collection combo for $64?

or you could get the Infamous collection one for $54 and try and sell the pack in game since you've already platted them or open it so that you can play Festival of Blood then trade it in.

DISLIKE!

Shut your ass!

For your room and for the room I play in right now 40-43 is fine. I am going to get at least 55 but probably 60-70 in a few months because I will have the living room all to myself.

People liked that BloodRayne Betrayal game right? $3 is tempting me.
It was fairly cheap and the last couple of chapters were filled with frustrating instant-death situations and the end boss's health bar covers your character so you can't see when to move. $3 is the most I'd say it's worth, and only if you don't plan to go after the plat. The plat is supposed to be quite difficult.

guardian_0wl did a writeup of the game at some point.

In twitter news: Reggie Wayne favorited my tweet about needing to get his patriots jersey. Yay for small joys in life.

I wanted to get it just to laugh at all my colts loving friends, but interacting with fans is a pretty cool thing.

When you are the size of a Yeti like I am, you like things to surround yourself with large things so you feel a little more normal.

Pete is right though. It really depends on how far away you are sitting from it. We have a 42" in the living room and it works because the couch is not as far away as it is in my basement.

Realize that a 60" TV is actually 4 times the size as a 30" since they measure on the diagonal.

Well the only HD TV I ever owned was the Sony 3D TV display so anything would be an upgrade. Like a tv remote, not turning off after I shut down my ps4, not flickering every 5 minutes, etc. I'm going to put it in my room so I doubt a 65" would be logical even though I kind of want one.
The second blu ray remote Sony put out for the PS3 works on that 3D Display. Most Sony remotes will for that matter.

My wife was pretty excited when Timothy Omundson responded to a couple of her tweets.

This guy, if you're a neanderthal:

He's seems like a fun guy based on comments I've seen him make and the roles I've seen him in (Jesus in Xena, Lassie in Psych, and the king in Galavant.)

I bet a bunch of guys just tried to measure their penis on the diagonal.

I've got 55" in my living room and 42"(?) in my bedroom. Size upgrade would definitely be my choice. You can get a decent tv for under $500 and still have some left over for games.
Yeah I really want a 55" or maybe a 60" TV if I can swing it this holiday season. I want to put the 50" Plasma that is in the living room in the basement along with my surround sound system (nothing to fancy). It will be for gaming and have my PS3 and PS4 connected to it. I don't really use my Vita TV connected to the bedroom TV. I would move that out into the living room on to the new largest TV for occasionally playing remotely from the PS4 in the basement.

Funny thing is my wife is really on board with the larger TV. She wants me to move all my gaming stuff downstairs. So it is just a matter of figuring out the dollars. Will need a stand for the new larger TV as well.

Sometimes I think fuck buy a cheap 50" and be done. But then I would never upgrade till one breaks.

Some people did, some people didn't. It is hard and the controls are a little imprecise at times as the high jump is REALLY fuck ing weird. You run in one direction, then reverse direction and immediately jump to do a backflip and jump higher. There are skulls you can collect which you can spend on more HP or ammo (buy HP first) and that will help you some. They are often in hard to reach places so it is good practice for later in the game when the jumps are harder.

If you can't tolerate some frustration then you should probably pass.

On the TV that ends up in the basement 2 or 3 is plenty as I will have an A/V received connected to that has 4. In the living room I would 3 or 4 though. One for the Fios cable box, one for Tivo, one Chromecast and maybe one for Vita TV and one for Tivo. Maybe some day put a sound bar there but don't think many of them have too many HDMI inputs. I could go with a switcher but trying to declutter the living room not make it worse.

No plat, just 100%, that thing would be worth a shitload as S ranks in every chapter would be freaking hard.
