I'm right there with you in hoping that this is good, but I'll definitely need to hold off until review. It's made by the team that did all of the shitty recent TH games (and the remake that managed to not play as well as the 10 year old games). I haven't really watched any gameplay, but I'm getting a shitty vibe from what I've seen/heard (e.g., last minute change to cell shaded graphics.. what?).

 
so all you bozos who got in on the gamestop trade in bonanza: gs apparently is getting visa gift cards in and they'll be buyable with gs credit.

did anyone ever respond as to whether you can get away with buying visa gcs at best buy with store credit?  I thought they disabled it in the system or something but I can't remember.

Yeah, wasn't happy when I heard about the cell shaded thing. As far as the team behind it goes, I didnt play Tony Hawk HD until a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $6. It wasn't perfect but my girl and I spent 3 hours a night over 3 different nights jus passing the controller back and forth collecting level goals and beating scores. If the new one offered only that much play time between us it'd still be worth it, but I foresee us putting a lot more time into it. There's nothing like local co-op or controller passing and I'm all for any game that you can find an enjoyable experience with one or both in todays market.

We've actually been passing back and forth alternating missions on Sunset Overdrive as well, that game is a heck of a lot better than I was expecting. Its basically Tony Hawk mixed with Infamous + Ratchet and Clank weapons.

Yeah, you can't buy Visa GCs at Best Buy with Best Buy GCs anymore. Being able to get them from Gamestop, however...

we are gonna try for the oz challenges again tonight in the new exo zombies dlc. if you are good at zombies (cro, others maybe?) hit me up if you want in. It is supposed to be the hardest exo zombies yet. trying to get all 100% dlcs

My gf is very anti-video games. The only games I've ever seen her play were mario 3 and mario world. She did enjoy watching me play through some of Heavy Rain though. I think it's mostly because of having kids though, as she has the motherly opinion of video games being a waste of time for them. Itd be fun if she'd ever coop games with me but I don't see that happening. Really her only hobbies are drinking and singing karoake.

My only other ex gf that I've lived with was into playing a lot of games. She loved Dragon Age and Zelda and a lot of other stuff. She was a half mexican, hipster chick I dated for 3.5 years.

I know, those are 2 I actually want to keep though. I made about $60 or so on a 2nd Little Mac that had a bent backing board. I got my keep pile down to about 8 or 9 and I've already started selling the rest off. I kind of want the Shovel Knight one...we'll see. However I'm done drinking the kool aid with these for sure.

If anybody was interested in the new Iron Maiden album, it's pretty good. Really good, actually. I've been listening to it a ton since last week. I think it's their best since Brave New World. "If Eternity Should Fail" is probably my favorite song on there. It wouldn't sound out of place if it was on Somewhere in Time or one of the other classics.

Fortunately she barely knows what a Trophy is and couldn't care less. She's more of a retro gamer, SNES through PS2, and thats what her shelves are filled with. Eras all about gaming for the sake of fun. Shes gotten into the newer stuff through me and loves watching me play games as well. She loves survival horror and has been using my PS3 to catch up on Silent Hills, RE's and Dead Space. We have Borderlands lined up to break her into the FPS genre, undecided on whether to start with 1 or 2 though, I know Gaige would be a great character for her to get acclimated to with the bounce back bullets and Deathtrap (she's great at any game type except FPS, needs to get acclimated to the whole aiming while moving thing), but I'd love her to get invested in the lore through 1 first.

Nearly all of my previous exes were anti video games or claimed to like them because they played their brothers stuff back in the day but knew/owned nothing. I've pretty much struck gold with this one, and for far more reasons than just the the games. Thats simply a cherry on top.
