I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

I played it yesterday morning and it was shit.

Not The Shit, just shit.

It was almost as bad as that crappy indie game (Inescapable?) MNS once made me play. It's 15 minutes of my life I want back.

It's really, really shit.

But, yeah - Heath was taken way too soon from us and he was also an excellent Joker (in The Dark Knight).

People who voted on Greenlight were supposed to get Steam keys. Emails were sent out to voters over and over again 10+ times but most got no key.

Some people were understandably upset at getting the same email many times and posted about it. I don't see why those posts should have been deleted like they were.

If you made a mistake own up to it, let everyone know what you're doing to rectify it and move on.

Attempting to sweep things under the rug never works on the internet.

Oh and I took a screenshot of this post since you will probably delete it too. I suggest anyone else posting here going forward do the same.

So...  I got suspended from SteamGifts today.  I'm kind of annoyed by this. I allegedly did not redeem a gift, but I'm fairly certain this is not the case. I would check my list of received gifts, but since I'm suspended, I can't access it.  I got no warning; just access cut off.  I assume someone must have reported me, but I can't figure out why.   I opened a support ticket, but so far have received no response.

Anyone else have a similar experience?

Amnesia The Dark Descent is free on Steam for Midweek Madness. Most probably have it but if not its a great way to get it. Its worth a playthrough as well. It's pretty damn great.

You won it, in April and you didn't activated it. It's the only reason I can say got you banned.

As near as I can recall, the key was actually for World War 1: Centennial Edition, which was from a bundle current at the time, and which I already had. I certainly never received a key for World War 1. If the key is in my account, this can be verified by attempting to activate it on an account that owns World War 1: Centennial Edition - it will say product already owned.

Edit - Thanks for this and the above posts - they have helped me track down the issue and remember. Now if I can get a Mod on SG to respond....

Another Edit - What CAG Steam Mega-thread regular would not activate a free +1?

What I can see is this

Also looking on steamdb, World War 1: Centennial Edition was removed from steam store 1 year ago.

So your only way to know now is to check what version do you have activated on your licenses page.

Also the other possibility could be, that GA creator made it as World War 1 but that key you activated from himwas the World War 1: Centennial Edition.

Well, when I view the Page Source on the VIP page all of the "Buy Now" links for the other games have a url like this:

Whereas Call of Duty's is like this:

<a class="button buy buy-now" href="/s/us/en/pc/games/shooter/call-of-duty-black-ops/">

I'm not really any good when it comes to html, but it looks to me like the code they entered for Black Ops just redirects to the game's page rather than adding it to the cart with the loyalty discount.

I actually found an email string with the gifter admitting it was the wrong key (it was the Centennial Edition). I accepted the key anyway, and thought I was helping the person out by doing so. I think I ultimately gave it away or traded it.

I don't really have a desire to own Black Ops on PC, but I've had $10 in GMG credit for well over a year so I might as well use it on something.
