This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Haven't played it yet but my understanding is that it's about 75% Black Flag and 25% AC3 set up near New England and Nova Scotia.  A lot of repeated assets and game play from Black Flag but if you liked BF then it stands to reason that you'd like Rogue.

For what it's worth, Rogue was much more favorably reviewed than Unity when they both came out.

It looks like it's the same sale price it was back in June but, right after Amazon had it on sale, Steam tried to have some sale on it for around $20-$25 depending on standard or deluxe edition.  The deluxe stuff wasn't worth the extra $2.50 to me and I bought the standard.

Gamersgate has AC Rogue on "sale" for $26 as part of their AC sale  :lol:

To be a little fair, I think that's the same crap price Steam tried to pull of during their AC sale as well.

It depends on how much you enjoy the series. I do, and I found Rogue a nice change of pace (story wise) from the regular Ass Creed fare. As far as Ass Creed games go, its worth a play. Its a good mix of the best from Ass Creed III (which IMO is the worst Ass Creed game besides one character), IV, and the side story games like Freedom Cry. If you've not played the other games, you wont recognize some of the characters that play into the Ass Creed Rogue storyline. It also ties into Ass Creed Unity really well, but you dont need to have played Ass Creed Unity to play Ass Creed Rogue. I'd recommend having played Ass Creed III, IV, and Freedom Cry purely for story reasons.

CAG thoughts on the daily? Is this likely to hit 75% soon? I'm uncharacteristically tempted on this because this sucker's been sitting on my wishlist for a while.

 
That list of "concerns" is ridiculous but I especially like the fear that someone will knock over (or dent) his PC.  A fear that he doesn't have with his PS4.

 
I shit myself every time I play a game on PC. It's so stressful.

On a related note, despite all the dangers and obstacles inherent in PC gaming, the bros play Full Mojo Rampage last night and had a ton of fun.  

What is Full Mojo Rampage?

According to some guy on Steam:

"A top down dungeon crawler with roguelike elements. It has 4 player online co-op support and solid replay value."

We did some deathmatch, which was decent, but not great.  The co-op is where it really shines.  You do runs trying to get further each time and upgrade and levels are randomized so it doesn't get boring.  The Capture the Flag mode was also a ton of fun.

If the dude's worried about size - then why doesn't this guy just drop a ton of money on a bad-ass laptop?

They're now even putting desktop-sized 980's in laptops.

Thanks, I grabbed a copy. I don't think it will sit in the backlog for too long. I just need to finally finish Metal gear V first

Have you had the issue where the camera angle will change for an animation and the FPS drops? I recently started playing it again hoping that issue had been fixed but it's still there for me.

 
So GMG has a Kholat/Spintires pack for around $15 and even cheaper with the 23% off voucher or the 32% off one if you still have yours.  I'm interested in Kholat for $5 so if anyone has a 32% off voucher and wants Spintires only let me know!

I played the shizzat out of Black Flag...then a year later I played Rogue....too soon after Black Flag....felt really samey. I would suggest if you played a lot of ACIV: BF, you wait a pretty long while before you play Rogue....IMO..

Yep. Usually that causes a FPS drop (will drop to like 40-something frames); during the Redbox replays that can happen during the match (these are often during the OMG moments - i.e. a Finisher through announce table or a Spear through the outside barricade); and/or Replays after the match is done. Otherwise, I usually stick around 60FPS.

The game doesn't really cut very often to other angles, though.

EDIT:

It does cut to a different angle often if I execute the Handspring Cutter (also known as Jay Lethal's finisher Lethal Injection, for those who watch ROH).

It says "coming soon" again. I think they said that they're rolling them out in waves over today and tomorrow.

Have they changed the three hour idling window before you get cards? I just idled my cards for Nuclear Attrition in 2:25 -- or was it two hours and I just thought it was three?

I noticed they are also giving away a bunch on Steam gifts which seems rather pointless when you are giving 20k away. And I notice the Russian language on the page. They know their audience.

Anyway I am on my way to work and not sure if they will still be giving them away later today so if someone grabs an extra key of that shitty game I will shamefully accept it. :p

I've heard that if you do a Google Image search on these ladies, you'll find that they are all stock images farmed from one of the many stock image sites....so I've heard....
