Finally got the grindy trophies in FFX out of the way. Only took me close to a month. Just need to do the two chocobo race trophies and plat number whatever is mine. Or I can never play video games again and leave my trophy count at 2,666.

I enjoyed the post game grinds in FF13 and 13-2 to a much greater degree, though judging a game from 2001 against games that came out about a decade later may not be the fairest comparison.

In all, the remaster was pretty excellent. Screenshots show the PS4 version as looking much better, but I'm PS3 pleb race, and the PS3 version wasn't bad, visually. Not counting most NPCs, obviously.

I somehow managed to play through Home and not get one trophy. WTF. Either they're glitched, or I actually didn't earn a single one. I didn't look at the list, so that may be possible.

I did the same when I played Brothers. All the trophies are silly little side-things and I just never ran across them naturally.

He's mechanics have always been horrible. When defenses had to respect his ability to scramble he could make big plays in the passing game merely by extending the play. Now that he's lost a few steps, it's obvious just how bad his mechanics are. How many overthrows did he have last night?

Yeah, I know. Brown was killing it for you through the first three weeks. I'm not complaining, because Bell got me 28pts last night. I was hoping he'd break that sweep play for a second TD. And that's coming from someone who hates the Steelers.

I see stuff like that happen all the time. Some people just suck. Last night my friend got an aerial goal online the lucky bastard. The ball hit the ceiling came straight down on him while he was in mid air and went in the goal. We were both surprised that it counted.

The Extended Collection trophies for UC1 are now there. I'm having a hard time fathoming a 2-hour-30-minute speedrun unless you play on Easy (assuming Speed Run isn't its own difficulty).

They definitely will glitch on the PS4 version. I thought that usually only happened after you completed the first playthrough and had an old save though. If you are going to try again for trophies, blow away the old save before starting. There is a good guide where you can get all the trophies in around an hour and a half.

they seem totally harmless except the speedrun in less than X time and the brutal difficulty. I don't mind the 'beat this section of a chapter in X minutes' trophies. but by my count that's also 4 total playthroughs for 100% for each game unless 'doughnut drake' isn't actually fat and slow (then it's back down to 3).

Unless they changed things for this collection, the only difference for Doughnut Drake is his (awe-inspiring) appearance in the game and in cutscenes.

Got in the need for speed closed beta. Unfortunately it runs today through Sunday, and I'm pretty busy through those days. 19gb download too, but hype!

NFS: Most Wanted is pretty notorious for having issues with its save file, like game freezes/crashes in multiplayer potentially wiping SP progress.

My stroke of genius in adding him seconds before kickoff didn't exactly win this week for me, but he certainly could've done worse. I just didn't trust Tannehill against the Jets D with Brady on his bye.

Fantasy aside, he's still exciting to watch even though he's not the player he used to be. Madden 2004 Vick is probably only rivaled by Tecmo Super Bowl Bo Jackson or MVP 2004 Vlad Guerrero for the status of most dominant sports video game character.

 
hey tech guys.... my internet service was upgraded and speedtest is showing improvement on the up end but my down is still roughly the same.  Would there be any reason or way that my laptop would be restricting my download speed?  Just making sure I'm getting what was promised... I'm assuming it's a fuck up on there end but I'm trying to cover my bases.

I'm definitely getting a very Assassins Creed 1 vibe from the interactions with the villains post-stabby stabby in AC3. It will be interesting to see whether or not they just ripped part of the narrative arc out of AC1 and reused it because it's the one that everyone skips over and they thought no one would notice.
