Yeah. I have no beef with the Brewers. If the Brewers and Pirates won the NL Central every year for the rest of human existence, I'd be fine with that.

 
These fucking "direct the rear camera toward a bright light" parts of Ass Creed Liberations are the devil. I put my phone flashlight directly on it and nothing. And other times it just randomly goes through. Been sitting here for a good hour trying to get it to work off and on.

I was going to bitch about this yesterday!!! But I just kept it bottled deep inside. Finished the story and 100% sync though. There are a few bitch missions to 100% near the end.

yeah i dont like the mechanic at all. I wanted to like the game because of the aesthetic but I know I won't like repeating the same shit over and over again. And I read that that's exactly what you have to do to get through levels. fuck that noise.

I couldnt get through the first level while trying to get a few collectables before the time ran out. I hate time constraints. And this is every level!

STFU requires a minimal amount of strategy instead of just mindlessly blasting enemies. Of course half this thread would give up after a couple levels.

I never once got this to work with the light. There's a trick to it, though--put the Vita face down on a flat surface and twist it. I'm not sure why it works, but it does.

Here's the post I read that had me try the face-down trick for AC:L, btw:

After directing the camera into a bright light you have to tilt your vita sideways until you hear the chime. At that point you can touch-spin the magnifying glass and finish off the segment.

Some users have also found that the puzzle detects light from the front camera. So placing the vita face down on a flat surface to direct it's own screen light into the front camera seems to work as well. You'll have to still tilt it to get the chime though.

I really, really like it so far, though I haven't made too much progress. A lot of the fun stems from my being a huge Dragon Quest fan--I love seeing the monsters move around on a 3D plane (DQVIII doesn't really count) and there are a bunch of cool little fan-service-y things like familiar songs and sound effects. If you don't like Dynasty Warriors-styled gameplay, though, you might not enjoy it all that much since that's mostly how it plays aside from occasionally fighting larger enemies.

 
any idea what this Hands of Fate 1.06 update is. I guess it will tell me in a few hours but they pulled a 1.8 gig update out of nowhere. hopefully dlc sometime?

That DmC I got in the mail earlier today appears to be sealed but with the pre-owned sticker thrown on top. Is Best Buy just getting smarter by actually using clearance prices to clear out the warehouses of older games?

Best Buy reseals their used games, so that isn't anything new. If you check the back, you should see a sticker over the original UPC but under the outer wrapping that marks the game as a used one.

Yep, you're right. Pretty good seal job but that sticker is there.

And here I was about to raise a stink about how they screwed me out of $1 by selling a new game as used.

 
PS: Is it terrifying to think that Lamar Odom's family is probably getting medical updates from TMZ since the medical staff probably tell them news before the family?

Finished up the Ass Creed Liberation main story line last night.  I kinda stopped paying attention to what was going on because so many different names and all the accents and I just didn't really care.  The action was fun though.  Always love running & climbing across all those beams and other assorted whatnot.

Just a handful of missions I need to get 100% sync on, and then the massive miscellaneous, collectable, & side-mission trophy cleanup.  Oh and two more of the dumb multiplayer trophies.

 
Killzone Mercenary is highly recommended and hey it was free on plus so if you like shooters play it.  Its a lot of fun with a decently stupid story to keep you going.  The challenges are probably easy enough for a lot of you trophy guys but I didnt bother with most of them.  I played on the hard difficulty which I never do on FPS.  Its really easy if you just keep moving.
