Gears remaster sucks. I never owned an Xbox or 360 but made a complete change over to the One when it released and haven't looked back but I have to say the exclusives I missed out on all those years like Gears and Halo, suck. At least they suck in terms of what types of shooters I like.

Especially games like Halo and Gears, come on. Everyone know they're among the best ever in their genres (and Halo is among the best ever in anything, actually).

I personally like Halo a lot; I don't know or have an opinion on the best in the genre, but I do like Halo. To me, XBox is Halo and Halo is XBox; and, I am a MS person through and through. Just saying...

Edit: Just to clarify, I dont hate on PS / Nintendo. My like for MS doesn't in the slightest mean I hate the others.

Halo is the FPS genre for console. I don't think CoD, Titanfall, Battlefield and all the others would be what they are today on console without the first Halo on OG Xbox. To me Halo is to console what Counter-Strike is to PC.
 
Project Spark might have been updated to give a bunch of XP. I just had character challenges unlocking about every 5-10 minutes. Also unlocked the complete 10 challenges with Conker achievement and gained a few levels
 
Well without GoldenEye on 64 you wouldn't have halo so....yeah thanks Nintendo.


And without doom you wouldn't have GoldenEye.... So yeah thanks whatever console or computer had doom on it.

Yeah, I played crossroads earlier and had a bunch of unrelated challenges unlock every so often.

Yeah the trophies (assume it's the same for achievements) are finding random little nooks with zero indication they exist. With a guide they're super easy to find though and I think that's great. Let me play the game and focus on it and then right before the end spent like 5 minutes to go back and get them right before the end of the game.

I played overlord 2 on 360 and didn't like it much. $23 is a nice price, though. If I read a review that mentions significant improvements over the last one I'll probably pick it up. I like the idea, just not the mechanics.


On another note, I played a little bit of the swapper today and really enjoyed it. Thanks to everyone for the recommendations.

there are some user reviews on Steam...not very promising. All the reviews basically say you use 3 buttons, spamming the same attack, and it gets boring after 10 minutes. I'll probably still buy it but only when its $5 or something.
