I thought Doom looked pretty horrid. All the combat suit and double-jump nonsense and the game not even make an attempt at the horror genre really doesn't make it seem like a Doom title at all. It's just a shiny FPS with some ugly monsters.

Seemingly every week now I suddenly see that I dropped a place on the US leader board.  Every time so far it has been a hacker signing up and jumping into the top 20 (many times top 2 or 3) of the US positions.

Today's entry sure does sound legit:  KentuckyModz

Really? Well I'll find out. Also I probably just play slow. It takes me a while to complete a turn.
It helps a little, but measured in a few minutes per match at best. There's just no way around the length unfortunately - 32 turns minimum with a max of 3 minutes per turn (and the clock pauses while a play executes and sometimes goes backwards for the CPU). And somehow I always end up in fucking overtime which is another 8 turns per team.

Too bad there's not an option to play a shorter game. Maybe 6 turns per team per half. But really I don't mind the length that much. I play actual board games that take just as long or longer.

That Metro 2033 free Kindle book link showed me there is a Bioshock prequel book that apparently is about how Rapture came to be.  And it has good reviews.  This shall become my new treasure hunt item at half price books.

If any of you crazy kids don't have GCU and want to pick up Ass Creed London this weekend, Cartwheel has an offer for 10% off that expires tomorrow.

The SMB plat might be out of my reach, at least for a while. I can't see how someone could beat Hell's Dark World without dying, let alone the later ones.

That looks way better than the slow plodding pitch black so you cant see a god damn thing mess that Dead Nation is.
Yeah, its fancy! Hopefully that means more of the SNOT will buy it so we can all play it together.

And since it looks like its three player I can have someone else hold Chewy's hand through the game.

Suck it Chewy! Thanks for playing through it with me though and helping with the MP trophies.

...That just got way more doable now that I know you can switch characters at will and the VVVVVV dude is OP.

EDIT: Wait, is that guy also in the PS4/Vita versions, or was he exclusive to PC?
Yeah, trying to no death them all as meatboy has to be close to impossible. Every video I've seen has used character switching. I'll still save my sanity for easier games like assassins Creed. Hey that comes out today.

HYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

Another statement (this time from Sony Computer Entertainment Senior Vice President Masayasu Ito) that they're not working on 1st party Vita titles:

http://www.dualshockers.com/2015/10/23/sony-has-no-first-party-ps-vita-games-in-development-first-party-strategy-focused-on-ps4/

“At the beginning the PS Vita did not resonate with age targets under 20, but now the situation is changing and the popularity with younger demographics is increasing. Minecraft: PS Vita Edition has provided a boost.

In addition to that, a variety of third party games is also planned for the future, and in order to further accelerate that flow, we decided to release new colors for the PS Vita this fall.

Currently, first party studios have no titles in development for PS Vita. Since third parties are working very hard on PS Vita, SCE’s own strategy is to focus on PS4, which is a new platform.”
And this is a pic from the clearance bin at Armegeddon Expo in Auckland, New Zealand, which started today and ends Monday:

RIP Vita.

I am okay with Vita just getting ports of smaller indie games and being used as a remote play device.
Add in the ports of 3rd party japanese games and I'm good. Sony itself doesn't care much, but 3rd parties will hopefully keep Vita going a little longer.

If and when the Vita dies 100% and if the NX isn't some portable powerhouse I'm going to have to seriously consider getting a gaming laptop again. Need my portable fix.

Rick Pitino strikes again.
Great beers in there and a lot of great candy. However, most of those combinations sound terrible with a few exceptions.
Which are the exceptions?

Starburst and Saison is intriguing. Dark Chocolate and Raspberry Beer should be good (at least with Raspberry Tart).

Most of the rest are trying to go for complementary tastes, but I do not think any would work. *MAYBE* the milk chocolate with a milk stout. I would think dark chocolate would work better to cut the sweetness from the beer there though.

I actually really like Reese's Cups or M&Ms with imperial stouts. However, I do not think it would work with barrel aged ones and they certainly would taste like crap with the corn like flavor of a cream ale.
