Official CAG Destiny Thread - Rise of Iron

I'm hoping to run HM Kings Fall tonight if I can get the TV from the wife (unlikely since it's her day off, but who knows, maybe she'll tucker herself out early again?).  If I can't, I'll run it tomorrow.  If anyone wants in, let me know.  I've got a pretty solid playerbase on my friends list to pull from, so I think we should be good without LFG.

If you are starting soon could I possibly jump in for some of the beginning? Then maybe I could get a few decent drops. I'm only 300 so I wouldn't be able to run the whole thing.

I'd be cool with that. I'm walking to my car right now to head home from work. I'm probably actually not going to be able to raid until about midnight EST die to the wife it looks like though.

Wait, since when can you get a ghost prior Totems? I thought it was just shards and random crap up until Totems?

Well, I want those shards so that if I ever do beat Oryx on Hard I can get the double drop. That group we were in also skipped the Golgoroth chest, which is kind of annoying. It is easy enough to get.

But you can definitely get a ghost shell from the very first chest (after the portal) at least on Normal. It may not drop a hard mode one - not sure. But I got my very first Raid ghost from there on my first Normal run. I can still use those to level up some alternative ghosts (Vanguard, Crucible one, etc).

I'm up for Raid or NF tonight - will be on more like 9:30 - 10 pm Pacific. Friends list looks a little sparse with respect to Destiny today - most people are playing Halo now.

Did HM raid up to Oryx and finally got a Raid sniper - and at 315 to boot.  I immediately put it into my 310 1000-yard stare that I use during the Oryx fight.  I figure anything I gain from now on need to go towards getting higher light for Oryx.  I still really haven't spent any significant amount of time even trying that fight - need to get that done soon.

Just like yesterday I got 2 ghost shells with one being 304 and the other 310.  What are the odds of that!?  So I've gotten two "hard mode" shells right at the minimum.  I did finally get Raid boots (of any kind) for my Titan.  So that bumped me from 298 to 315 in that slot - a huge increase.  So now I've gotten Harrowed gloves for all 3 characters and boots for my Warlock and Titan (and I still have my Hunter to run through tomorrow hopefully).  I still have yet to get a helm of any type from this Raid.  If I don't get the hard mode kills in by this weekend I guess I'll just finish those up on Normal and maybe I'll get a helm.

Deathsingers dicked me over yet again.  I got a 308 Titan mark (just like the one I already have) and nothing else while it seems like everyone else got 310+ class items and/or shotguns.  I used that to bump my Hunter's Void Flayer Cloak up to 308 so it wasn't a total waste.  So now all 3 of my characters have class items at 308.  In 5 hard mode runs so far I haven't gotten a 310+ class item.

All in all the run was worth it, though, because I got much improved boots (298 -> 315) and finally got a Raid sniper (though I infused it into another one).

Then I used LFG to do a Nightfall and all 3 of us got the Vanguard ghost shell.  Mine was the only 300+ one at 308.  That's great and all, but I had literally just infused one of my extra 308 Raid shells into the 305 Vanguard shell I got last week from the Nightfall.  I really don't need any more sub-310 ghost shells at this point.  I already have the Brave shell up to 310, I have a Dread Explorer shell up to 310, and now a Vanguard one at 308.  And oh yeah, and since I was capped out at marks and overflowing with mid-range shells, I bought one of the Crucible ones and infused that up to 308 as well!    So now I have every legendary ghost shell at 308-310.

So I still have 2 more NF's to run, 1 more hard mode Raid, 3 hard Mode Oryx kills, and boosting the hand cannon quest ;).  If anyone is up for any of that for Thursday night let me know.

Been trying for over 30 minutes to get in a normal raid group on Destinylfg. List that I have never done it before but know all the basics of the fights and no one will touch me.

I have had luck just searching for groups looking for one that describe themselves as more laid back. They usually have no problem if you jump in and take you through the paces. Either that or I've been extremely lucky.

I'd just like to find a group to run tier 3 of Court of Oryx since I'm missing that calcified fragment this week. I don't know why but the most people I've seen there are two others lately.
 
Bah last night was a lame night for Destiny. Played Halo most of the night but jumped over to Destiny for the Hard Raid. We only had the 4 of us and all of our other friends were already doing the raid or are not close enough for hard mode. So we resorted to LFG and I man... those guys were the worst. From the very get go they ran in there just being loud as hell screaming about wearing their masks. I gave them the benefit of the doubt however and hoped they would chill out. Not really. During the jumping platforms the one guy was being so loud and obnoxious I just flat out said, "dude you are being crazy loud man take it down I have my earbud headset in and you are giving me a headache." Of course he was like, "what I am not being loud jeez." They rubbed me the wrong way from the start and continued to be standoff-ish (though really since I was pissed with them I am sure I was not the nicest either though I tried to be).

But yeah every decision I made for us to do (which has proved to be successful multiple times for me) they scoffed at and just acted so much better than us. I don't know I feel like it is like being a guest in someone's house. I invited you to our Raid group and we were in the majority. I have beaten the Raid and we as a group have found really effective ways of doing parts. Just because you do not necessarily agree that doesn't mean they are wrong when they clearly have worked for us... Bah I was getting super annoyed and then when we got to Oryx the one was being super standoff-ish but in an oddly passive aggressive way about doing the no knight strategy. We finally settled on how we would do it and then as soon as it starts it lags out and the one guy leaves. I thought it lagged out until we went to orbit and his other buddy then clearly popped into party chat and left moments later.

They put me in such a poopy mood and on top of that the Raid gave me the worst shit again. I was stoked to get a ghost but it only was 312 from my 309. So an improvement but just a tiny one. And then I got a shitty machine gun at the lowest I could get it at at 310 and then I got boots at 316 compared to my 313 boots. Still nothing from the Deathsingers. Haven't gotten a single hardmode drop now from them from all 4x I have done them. Oh I did get an exotic in the one chest at the pistons but it was a pair of gauntlets, of which I have a crazy surplus of 310s since Xur sold those engrams a bit ago.

I know overall that is still a good haul but that has been how my Raid runs on Oryx have been going since launch. I do not get anything really drastically better, I just keep chugging along getting a very few extra light a week if that.

Also on a non-Destiny directly related note... eff Microsoft for not having enough Elite controllers stocked. I didn't preorder because a previous deal with GS kind of effed my receipt when the kid couldnt do it and so he manually butchered it and so I was just going to explain it on Tuesday to them and just get the controller right away and of course now I do not have one : (

This post is getting crazy long sorry guys but yeah tonight we were thinking of maybe killing Oryx and perhaps doing Atheon if anyone is capable and willing.

I don't mind helping you out. I'd recommend checking out reddit. I can't remember the subreddit name, but there is one dedicated to sherpas helping out those that want to learn the raids.
 
I ran Deathsingers on my Warlock and got a 313 Harrowed Bond and a 310 normal one from the same drop, lol.  Then ran Totems through Deathsingers on my Titan and got a 306 machine gun, 308 chest (which is better than the 300 chest I had) and then another double class item drop with a 312 and 303.  Got another 316 ghost also from totems on that Titan run.

We actually tried out Oryx for a bit and we did alright but never really got close.  We were doing the titan bubble on the pedestals and leaving ogres with a little health.  That part of it actually was going pretty well but we kept having people get wiped on the starting pedestals or when trying to get up to the deathsingers pedestal.  I was the only titan so I had to have super all the time.  That part was actually easy considering you are operating out of a bubble 90% of the time.

I am not sure if you already know this, but every class is able to get up to the Deathsinger Pedestal from the platform they are on directly. If everyone is just jumping from their platform to the pedestal they really shouldn't be taking any damage.

Oh man I just Googled that.... damn. I like how someone on there compared that the time it takes to delete a character is faster than deleting an exotic... that is pretty dumb.

Regardless though man I want that controller mainly for Halo and CoD so that with all the movement mechanics with sprint, slide/crouch, boost and all of that I can pull them off without having to constantly sacrifice the use of the right stick.

I think my Raid group is not doing another full run until after midnight so I am totally up for an Oryx run (I'm at Oryx on two of my characters) if you have room. I'll start on my Warlock for the self-res. I just need to get that first hard mode kill done finally! Any idea on time?

I unfortunately have no clue. My one buddy who wanted to (and was part of the group last night getting there) doesn't get on until 2am est tonight so it is usually a race to the finish to try and get stuff done with him haha. My guess is that we will be attempting Oryx around that time though I am not 100%. I will definitely shoot you a message once we are getting together/ have a solid time.

 
So I found a group and made it all the way to the daughters before I had to leave. I was doing so horrible on the two jumping parts so I skipped trying to get both of those chests, so I dont know what I missed there. So after all was said and done all I got was some 300 warlock boots which didnt help much since mine were already 299. So in the 3 times I did the Warpriest all I got were the boots and moldering shards.  

I do have the sisters normal checkpoint if anyone wants it just let me know.

Also somebody mentioned farming crucible kills for the hand cannon quest. How would that work and when can we do it?

Rumble - 3 go in and pick a place on the map to try to meet up - then trade head shots until everyone has 7.

 
Blah already bored with HM.  My team (5 of us including me) and 1 person who was just available crushed it in about 90 minutes.  Would probably have been closer to an hour had we had our other team member rather than the fill in. 

At least I have incentive in trials this weekend.  Lighthouse drops are equivalent to HM level guns per the weekly update.

Don't know how much I'm going to play for a while with Halo out and Tomb Raider on the horizon. :D

 
Yeah, I've got to say that I'm pretty annoyed with Destiny atm. Being gear locked from content because of RNG is pretty shit. I shouldn't have to run 3 characters to get properly geared on one for the final fight of HM.
 
Didn't get much of anything done in Destiny tonight since no one was Raiding.  Oh wells...

Xur is down by Shaxx in the center.  He has two helmets I've never gotten.  Since the 3 of coins seems to be totally nerfed the past week or so (at least for me) I already bought the Hunter helm (the purple one that gives you shade step- Graviton Forfeit).  I'll probably buy the Taikonaut Titan helm too - I've never even seen that one before.

I bought tons of helmet engrams the first week and got many more from engram farming and never once did I get either of those helmets.  I got tons of Skyburners Annex, though.  So even though I would have rather waited till I got a 310 Graviton Forfeit helm to drop I just bought it at 280 and used a blue and one of my 310 Skyburners Annexes to get it up to 304.  That's good enough for now (I can still be 311).  Now watch it drop from my next engram.

I was just getting nothing out of 3 of coins though.  Not one engram drop on any of the bosses in the Raid or 3 Nightfalls (plus a few other ultras here and there).  Finally I got one on my Hunter while on patrol and fighting a Taken champion.  Then I loaded up the Black Garden checkpoint and nabbed one on my Warlock (so that still works but the regular boss/strike drops are crap!?).

Both of those were gauntlet engrams which is OK since the only 310's I had were Don't Touch Me.  I got the Immolation Fists for the Titan and Claws of Ahamkara for the Warlock.  Since I have to get scorch kills on that one Warlock quest those might come in handy (though since it takes forever to level up armor I'll probably be done with that by then).

Xur also has the Alchemists Raiment, Zhalo, and a legacy secondary engram.  No Year 2 engram once again.  I think this is the first time the Zhalo's been available, though, right?  I have gotten a ton of primary engrams going back to the first-week farming and only ever got one (which I infused up to 310 ASAP).  I've gotten like 6-8 Suros and Monte Carlo's though (and yet not a single Red Death or Bad Juju).

Still need to get a full hard Raid on my Hunter and Oryx kills on any character.  If anyone sees me on and needs another for any hard mode stuff let me know.  Hell, send me a message even if I'm not on - I can usually hop on with short notice.  I could also help with a regular Oryx kill since I doubt I'll get all 3 done before reset anyway.

Funny, I'd was thinking just yesterday they must have improved the 3oC because I've been getting drops pretty regularly. I've gotten a SUROS, Hawkmoon, Hereafter, and Crest of Alpha Lupi just since Sunday and I haven't even played a ton this week. Only the SUROS and Crest were at 310, but it's still nice to see those yellow engrams drop.

I got a 2nd year suros from the raid. Went to postmaster so I didn't even realize I had it until we were done.

Destiny gave me an abundance of Coins this week so I picked up the wizard robes, supercell, and a couple three of Coins.
 
Yeah I just could not get a 6th for killing Oryx last night and I did not want to LFG it so I too got like nothing done. I did a NF and got a 292 Ghost... that is cool. And then I did some more farming of Masks. I caved and bought the middle pack of Legendary Packs and got Petra, Cryptarch and Xur. I dismantled the first two for glue then and made my Skolas and Oryx ones permanent. I now have four legendary masks and glue for two more... Yeah those are pointless but whatever hah

I also bumped up all my PvP gear for ToO and so when I am decked out in all my PvP-centered gear I only drop a couple levels to 309. Going Red Death, Defiance of Yasmin and the Suros Rocket as my loadout plus I got gauntlets specifically for PvP with increased melee speed and pulse rifle reload. My boots also have extra Sniper or Rocket ammo so I can swap between the two when heavy drops. I missed you Lighthouse, it has been a while! : P

*Oh and I am tempted to get the Warlock Chest and Zhalo from Xur I just hate getting exotics under 310 because it feels like a waste infusing them up then. Ugh*

I only have 22 strange coins anyway : ( I have been spending them way too much lately and now I can't even get both pieces, let alone even Zhalo. Poop.

Funny you should mention these two things as I was thinking about both last night. I almost bought the $9.99 pack of Silver (1100) last night to get two of the emotes and the middle pack of mask stuff. But for one thing I only have $6 left on my Xbox account from all the free and discounted MS points deals way back when. Shit gets real when I have to spend real actual money on stuff...

But then I remembered Trials was coming and how much it pisses me off that there's a big chunk of the game I am effectively locked out of. I spend so much time on this game - basically I've played nothing else since it came out except for a little Dragon Age and ESO. And then here comes this thing that is just stressful and brings out the worst in people. While I almost made it to the Lighthouse before (a couple of times at 8-0) I hear it is going to be much harder this time with the new matchmaking system. It almost broke up our Raid team earlier this summer and even when it goes well you have to deal with the worst element of Xbox gamers (the teabaggers, dancers, and trash talking message senders). It really is a cesspool of the worst of the worst millennial dipshits. To top it all off, the one guy I used to run Trials (and Raids) with seems to have gone off on his own and won't talk or play with the rest of us. And the other guy seems to be sick of the game. So I'm sure I don't even have a Trials team any more. Using LFG for Trials is a double dose of BS.

So that makes me very hesitant to give Bungie any more money than I already have. We'll see how the next week goes. The other reason I may pull back a bit is that it seems like people are already dropping from the game once again. I know Halo had something to do with that and maybe they will come back when the newness of that wears off. But getting Raids and NF's done has been a hassle this week. I had to LFG 3 NF's, and while that went OK, it is something I enjoy less and less each time I do it (using LFG that is). When I have to work so much to get into a weekly activity, well, it starts to feel like work and not a game! What's the point?

It's not the shards for me - got plenty of those. Strange coins are running low though... So buying two 280's as I may do this week will put a big dent in my reserves. Then I have to use 3 or 4 310's (gotten from spending lots of strange coins on 3 of coins) to infuse them and that makes the effective strange coin cost of those 280's much higher.

I didn't even play last night.  Ended up running some Halo 5 coop with some of my old achievement crew.  It was fun but I kept getting kicked from the game and could not log back into Halo.  I guess this might be an error many people are having?  Funny thing is that if I loaded up destiny and then quit both and tried Halo it corrected the problem a few times.   :beer:

 
Got a 3rd Raid (up to Sisters) in Friday night.  I finally got a good ghost shell (314) and class item (313).  Too bad the class item is for my Hunter who I prefer to use the Void Flayer cloak on.   Though the black raid cloak is pretty cool too so I guess I'll keep both - which just means I need to find even more for infusion ;).

Other than that it was a bust.  My only 310+ armor was gloves and I got another, worse, pair.  I also got, for the first time, the regular Raid sniper after getting the Harrowed one a few days ago (though that went right into my 1000-yard stare).  I think I'll keep this normal one - kind of like it actually.

Looking to get a hard mode Oryx kill in over the weekend and then maybe two normals just to finish up those characters for the week.   With the new bounty system for Trials I might just end up LFG'ing a "chill" Trials run just to get the bounties done and get some loot.  If any CAGs want to do that just let me know - would prefer to try it during the day, maybe on Sunday.

Yea, those trials bounties are not that bad at all.  I ended up going on LFG to find a team and was able to get them done pretty quickly yesterday evening on my Hunter.  Of course got a 300 fusion rifle from my gold package.  I did happen to get 2 Trials Arms with 260 def and my best drop was a 309 class item.  

 
Went lighthouse my first run. Played with two of my buddies who are PvP beasts. We all got non-adept Scout Rifles, boots, and I got an adept scout with outlaw, full auto and rifled barrel. Still have to play 2 games for gold tier on my hunter. Probably going to run my warlock tonight and Titan tomorrow.

We absolutely smashed everyone we played. On our lighthouse game we won 5-0 I do believe. We got annihilation on half the games we played :D

So I got a bit of lucky RNG that saved me some coins and shards at least. I got an exotic helmet engram out of the Daily last night. I gave that to my Titan and it turned into the Taikonaut helmet which I was just about to buy otherwise. I did have to use about 8 glass needles to get good perks, but at least it was already 310 vs. the one Xur sells.

We'll have to meet up some time and practice the jumping parts.
I had made a post on r/fireteams a couple of weeks ago to see if anyone else would be interested in some practice, and got a pretty good response. I'll have to do that again.

That would be great at least the group I was with found the humor in it. On the ship jumping one of the other group members didn't even attempt it and waited for the others to pull him through. On the second part I only have trouble on the first couple of jumps. The problem is by the time I get past them the party is always way past the chest and I am so frustrated I don't care about it at that point.

I still have a normal daughters checkpoint if anyone wants it let me know.

Wait till hard mode when there is no middle platform on the first ship jumping part!

To be honest though, once you do it a few times, it becomes much easier. I struggled with it at first, too, but can usually do it without too much trouble now. The first chest in the ships section just has moldering shards, ammo synths, and the occasional Court of Oryx rune - so you aren't missing much there.

You really should try to get the one in the piston section as it can contain exotics. The drop rate, though, is pretty low. I think I've gotten 1 in about 10 or so tries. That section is easier than the ship jumping if only because you aren't under any pressure to jump at the right time (with the ships moving/disappearing). Once you learn the route it becomes much easier.

Finally got the increased reload speed for pulse rifles unlocked on my Raid gauntlets and then gave Trials a shot.  I used the "casual/relaxed" category on LFG and got in on a game where the host must have had a terrible connection because we were red barred the entire time and it took forever for the match to load.  After one horrible match we all got disconnected.

I saw Broly on with another guy and asked if they wanted to run.  This was much better - if only I had reset my damn card first as I lost my 2-for-1 and mercy with the LFG doofuses.  Since this is a sniper-friendly map I pretty much sucked but Broly and especially his friend were damn good.  We lost one early but then went on a streak of 5 or so.  I did have one moment when I self-rezzed and stuck two guys with grenades to win the match.  That was satisfying.  I got the bond and boots when I hit rank 5 (both in the low-300's).  I also got a legendary emblem I hadn't gotten before.  So that was a decent haul for a pretty chill match where for the most part I stunk up the joint.  I tried to revive and be a distraction for the other two guys to snipe, though, so maybe I wasn't totally useless ;).  I need to learn how to use Red Death a little better - or maybe just switch to one of the many other pulse rifles (like Grasp, Nerwen's, or the FWC Villainy).  On Heavy rounds I was using Grasp and seemed to do a little better with it.

I am just two matches away from competing my gold-tier bounty.  But I got a pretty good drop from the Silver: a 313 Light Beyond Nemesis!  Since I was already using a 310 one (that had good stats, perks, and was fully-unlocked) I just infused the new one into that.  So that's the first time I've ever seen an exotic drop over 310.  Even from the raid when on Hard the ones from the exotic chest they only seem to be 290 or 310 (probably because that is really a Normal drop).  Maybe Oryx on hard has a chance to give a 311+ exotic since I've seen exotics drop from him on Normal before.

I need to hop on tomorrow to get those last 2 matches completed and then maybe I'll even try another character.   I was playing in the middle of the night so I'm hoping a daytime run is a little easier.  If anyone here wants to help with those last 2 I'd appreciate it (otherwise I'll just grin and bear it with LFG again).  Or if anyone wants to do a fresh run I'd like to get my other characters through as well for at least the bounties.

The gold tier reward bounty is a bit odd because it is 75 team kills and 10 completed matches.  We got the 75 before we even got half way through the matches (and that was with my earlier LFG loss plus one more - so it's not like I swept my card or anything).  It seems like they should lower that to 8 matches - it seems like a lot of people end up having to play a few extra matches after they finish their cards, whether they do bad, decent, or flawless.  Still, though, it is great to be able to get the gold reward without having to get to 8 wins like before.   That gives me a chance to get some good stuff even without my semi-decent team in place any more.

Well I finally got my HM Oryx kill last night.  Took way too long with a few LFG groups but finally found one that was competent enough.  We kept having 2 clean runs and then on the 3rd platforming part the relic runner would just get melted by the ogres.  So people were trying to help him out with his build and giving him tips since we had some people who had completed it before,but he kept wiping.  He finally told us to hold on a minute and said he was going to change out some armor.  Well it turns out he had some raid armor pieces that he didn't have equipped that had the "increased armor when holding the relic" perks.   :wall: After maxing that stuff out it only took a few more tries to take down Oryx.  Just for the record we had 2 Titans and 4 Warlocks and were doing the no Knight strategy.  Myself and the other Titan had no problems getting the ogres down.  

Unfortunately RNG was not kind as I only received 2 drops and they were horrible (310 harrowed boots and a 305 class item).  No primary weapons at all.  I thought you were supposed to get a guaranteed weapon drop from a first HM Oryx kill?  It consumed 20 of my shards as well.  Oh well, at least I have the game completed again and the new HM Oryx emblem.  

 
LFG'd two more matches to get my gold tier reward.  Even though we lost both, they were close and I did much better - even going over 1.0 K/D which for me in Trials is a win no matter what else happens ;).

My gold tier gave me a 303 Trials Machine Gun (Unseeing Eye or something?).  Meh - it is OK and has decent perks (though stat-wise it isn't much different than the Raid one of which I have a couple over 310).  If I'm not getting the Scout or Pulse rifles I'd have preferred armor.  Though what I got is better than what I hear some other people are getting: low-300 artifacts.  That would be a kick in the nuts.

Then I LFG'd a quick Normal Oryx kill on my Titan just to see if I could finally get a helm.  I'm not sure I'm getting any hard mode kills in before reset and I'm certainly not getting all 3 done so I'll save my Warlock for that and just get Normals on my Titan and Hunter.  What was funny is one guy insisted me and him run the double bubble Touch of Malice trick up on the towers for this.  This was just Normal so it was totally unnecessary but I figured it was decent practice for if I ever do that on hard mode.

Do moldering shards only give you extra Normal drops?  I used 20 on my Titan and all I got to show for it were some 303 gauntlets.  Gross.  At least I used those to get some Pandion gauntlets with the fast pulse reload perk up to 303 so now I have those ready for Trials/IB.  I'm going to try to run my Titan through Trials tonight via LFG.  I'm not really looking forward to it.  Again, if any CAGs want to run I'd much rather run it with you guys vs. randos.

I'll probably also LFG a quick Normal Oryx on my Hunter.  Still looking for a Raid helm for any character to get that damn shader.

Well... Destiny kicked me in the nuts after all... I struggled with 3 or 4 LFG groups to get the bounties done on my Titan.  The first group was terrible - no mics and they just ran off in different directions.  We nearly got completely shut out of kills except for the 2 I managed to get. The next few groups were better - chill guys who communicated.  On one run we actually got to 4 wins with no losses and I thought I'd have the boots wrapped up.  But just like so many times in Trials this summer, it was not to be.  That has happened so many times specifically on my Titan - that character must be cursed.

But no worries, because I got the bounties done!  Well... Silver gave me some motes and a blue engram that turned into like 260 gauntlets.  Whoo-hooo... Gold gave me, wait for it, a 305 artifact (that would be the kick in the nuts).  :bomb:.

That was not worth all the LFG time and waiting in people's fireteams and all the other BS.  I think from now on I'm just going to run it with people I know.  That may not happen very often but it is better than wasting my time.

So after that I LFG'd for a Normal Oryx kill and got in with a group of guys who had one newbie and the rest had only done it a few times.  It felt good playing like a boss in that fight to make up for the Trials mess.  I was pretty much taking out all 4 ogres by myself up top, then covering an orb for the new guy who kept dying.  And on the last run I saved the last shadow Oryx kill when 3 others were dead by firing my Touch of Malice till I was almost dead while the screen was starting to turn red because he was about to cause us to wipe.   They were pretty happy when we got it done.

It took several tries because of laggy connections and the newbie, but at least I ended up with a 310 Last Word and an exotic gauntlet engram from a 3 of Coins from that run.  Now I just need to finish up that hard mode kill - hopefully I'll get that done tomorrow.  Then, what, I dunno - if I can't do much in Trials and beating Oryx only leads you to marginally better gear which really doesn't matter except for beating Oryx with, then I can't see keeping up this pace for much longer.  I'd like to get a full set of the Raid gear for each character though - that will take some time I suppose.

Anybody that is without the Black Spindle want to meet up and run the mission tonight? it's the daily again if any of the higher light guys that already have want to jump on to help out that would be great. I'm a 297-298 Warlock so I shouldn't be to much of a hindrance.

I would like to give it a shot tonight. I haven't read up on strategies so if somebody could do a little coaching that might be helpful. Not sure what time I'd be available. Probably around 8 central.
