Just played a couple games of The Rivals of Catan. It's a 2-player card game based on Settlers (obviously).

I've never played Settlers, but this game was pretty damn fun. Once you get past the convoluted rule book, it's pretty easy to understand how to play and operate.

I recommend it for complicated/card game fans.
I can highly recommend Tiny Epic Galaxies. Very easy game to learn but lots of strategy, plays well with 2, haven't had a chance to try with more than 2 yet, but should be good. My son Emmett and I have played it a bunch and it's always fun.

Talos Principal seems good so far, but for some reason playing it made me queasy. Strange as games don't usually make me queasy and I'm not sure why this one would. In any case I had to stop as a result.

So I'm on my phone and don't know how to make this video appear for your viewing pleasure. Can only post a link.

It's a video of Barney and the yellow and green dino's singing Straight Outa Compton. Well worth the hoop jumping. Have to give it up to the poor fool that watched that much Barney to put this together.

P.S. My PS4 seemed to have hung up during sleep today, so I guess that's not really fixed yet. :( It is happening less often, but it's not gone.

I don't know why you're the only one that seems to have this problem. Mine did it right after that update released (2.0?), but once they patched it I never had trouble again.

I'm currently eating a burger topped with a grilled chicken patty and bacon and pepper jack cheese. And washing it down with a beer called Fatty Boombalatty.

I love Wisconsin.

Others here had this issue, but not sure about since the most recent update. It has happened to me twice since the update which is still better than it use to be. I wish I knew why it seems to be happening to me more than to others.

Between finishing the Helladecks (challenge rooms), hardcore mode, and the plat it was worth 1700 TT points today and 3200 overall. That also propelled me from #25 on the PSNOT leaderboard all the way up to #23.

The campaign was quite fun, twitchy shooter action and the challenge rooms are where all the puzzles that require heavy use of the time travel mechanic to solve. I suppose they kept puzzles out of the game so as to not slow down the tempo for speed running. 85% of the challenge rooms are a nice, manageable length, but a few are marathon runs that take quite a long time to get through so if you mess up there is a lot to redo. Lots of subtle 80's and 90's references as well as a fairly humorous, over-the-top time traveling plot.

My favorite character was the guy from Journey because he has a double jump, can pogo off the heads of enemies, and his flying scarfs are slow but have mild homing. The artistic depiction of him is also spot on. Shieldy Blockerson's shield and force field ability are a life saver. President Shuhei's tweet missiles hit like a truck. I've never played the Order but Galahad's electric guns reminds me more of the ARC gun from District 9. I also got a lot of use out of Merlin as his charge attack create a large bubble of magic which hangs in air for several seconds, killing any weak enemies. It's great for when you need to hold off a horde of rushing enemies. Everyone should at least be able to find a few characters which fit their playstyle.

fuck the Looker (speed run) challenges, thankfully you only need 1 for the plat. I too am surprised more haven't gotten the plat as some of the helladeck rooms are fairly challenging, but nothing too over the top frustrating. I mean, even the trophies that come from just playing the game (clearing eras of 3-4 stages each) are around 10%. Less than a 1/4th even finish the first 3 stages.

There's a third person mode that helped me immensely. It's in the options somewhere.

I've had it a couple times too. Every time it happened if I went to sleep directly instead of going to the menu first and it was the same game. Maybe just coincidence.

I was pretty disappointed to find out you weren't talking about this guy:

That would have been one awesome bit of random insertion.

AC Rogue main story is finished. If I wasn't so gay for the Ezio games, I might say this was the best of the series. I really liked Unity, but this game is leagues above it, especially story-wise. Shay is also a way more interesting character than Arno. It's just too bad that the game was largely overlooked due to being last gen.

So should I check this one out? I kind of want to finally start a Ass creed game again. I played a bit of the first one before I quit.

The first one as in AC 1? That game is god awful compared to any of the ones that came after it. Rogue is a great one to play to avoid the need to play MP to get the plat. The MP while fun in small does has been a PITA in most of the titles.

You are going to have missed a lot of the outside the Animus story lines, but you aren't missing much IMO.

I just got Syndicate in the mail today. I might get started on it tomorrow (well, I guess that is later today now).

Absolutely. Plus you already have access to it so there's no reason not to jump in.

I'm still rather surprised it hasn't hit PS4/XB1. The PC port came out a while ago now.

The first one is the only one I've played as well and I didn't like it at all even back then. Never gave the series another chance, but I'm sure it's good. I just have so much stuff to play that I have to draw the line somewhere and now that the series has so many entries, the idea of adding all of that to my backlog is enough for me to pass... I don't think I could just pick up the latest entry without playing the others.

Haven't played much of anything in about a month now and not sure when that's going to change... maybe FO4 will entice me enough to get back on it.

I'm a little lost on why they didn't release a current-gen version of Darksiders 1 since that's the more popular game. The two games packaged together could easily have justified a full $60 release.

The better question is why they didn't just scrap the DS2 remaster idea and just focus on bringing out DS3.

Having a shitty remaster of a game that wasn't received all that well to begin with surely hurts the hype train more than it helps.

Yea at this point, cancelling my star wars bundle would be the best option. Cartwheel 15% off uc bundle, plus red card 5% would put it around 300 AFTER tax. The money I'd save I could get fallout 4, battlefront and one other game with their buy 2 get one free this week as well.

Edit: battlefront won't be out yet for that offer.

They both use the Havok game engine which is available on PS4, so porting the games to that platform probably isn't too difficult, relatively speaking. I'm sure it was a lot cheaper to port Darksiders 2 than to create a new game. Keep in mind that Darksiders was a THQ property and Vigil Games was shut down when they went out of business. With the original development team shut down, Nordic Games (current owner) may have figured that porting DS2 would be a good way to get whoever is now working on the games used to working on the series.

That doesn't really explain why they didn't do the first game as well, though. The first one didn't sell quite as well, but there's not such a big difference to do one title but not the other.

When Howard was asked what he hoped to hear from fans post launch [of FO4], he stared blankly at the table in front of him for a few seconds. “You know, people have really waited for this, and we’ve waited to make it as well, so it goes beyond just going in and giving it our all. It was a bigger deal to us this time, I think. That might sound a little bit cliché, but the time someone spends playing our game that’s important time for them. This type of entertainment, and being in this world, and being a part of something they really love…We have a responsibility to do everything we can to make that incredible. That thought permeated the studio.”

The ME trilogy trailers were all using male Shepard. The trilogy was very even-handed in general as far as sex goes, so they may have just decided to switch genders for Andromeda's backstory and trailers to even things up.

OK, seriously Green Bay people - is there nothing to do in Wisconsin?  Why is your whole state in Charlotte?

Although I'm going to Madison in two weeks, so I guess we're even.

We do have a lot of people who travel with the team, especially once it starts getting cold up here and they revolve a winter vacation around away games. You also need to realize that there is A LOT of out of state packer fans. Half of these cheese heads are probably your next door neighbors.

We get a ton of cheese heads in Tampa too. Like crazy said they just travel well and of course they want to get out of green bay during the winter. I couldn't imagine living there during winter.

BTW it is 90 degrees here again today. Too hot
