Please note:

  • You cannot currently buy any Xbox 360 content on xbox.com using your account balance, you can only use an active credit card or PayPal. To use your balance, you must make purchases on your console.  Unfortunately, even "purchasing" free content through the web site like trials requires an alternative method of payment tied to your account, though adding an empty MasterCard / Visa gift card that is registered for online purchases will work.  Xbox One games can be purchased on the web site with your account balance, but DLC cannot.
  • Some sales are intended for Gold subscribers only, as noted within each section.
On Xbox One, Gold trials of any length work for sales and Games with Gold.  You must be an active Gold subscriber (paid or trial) to play Games with Gold purchases.
  • On Xbox 360, you must have at least a 1 month Gold subscription for sales and Games with Gold.  Neither 48 hour trials, 14 day trials nor free weekends qualify.

[*]All known sales and information on sales should make their way into the OP. Major Nelson usually updates his blog with new sales information every other Tuesday.

I'm not much of a sports gamer, but I did enjoy NBA Jam and NFL Blitz ... back in the 90's.  I wish the remakes were better.

Nothing for me this week.

Same here. Jam, Blitz, Hitz, those were the shit back in the day. But EA's version of NFL Blitz is seriously gimped. The fact you can't perform any late hits?!?!.....that totally takes the fun out of it. That was the joy of those games. Shoving Clinton to the hardwood in Jam, checking someone through the glass in Hitz, clotheslining someone for 15 yards in Blitz. Even when Blitz was $3+ not too long ago, I didn't spring for it. All the fun was sucked out IMO

I got burned on Never Alone.  Might've been one of three things I've ever purchased from XBL at less than a 25% discount (excluding rockband DLC).  Lesson learned.  Never againnn!!!!

Idk if anyone has gotten to this point in the game but I've looked all over for a guide. I'm doing the Taking Independence quest on fallout 4 and I've killed the big Boss and it now tells me to go to a workshop and repair a damaged object and I've literally been here for an hour wondering what to do. Anyone help?

Damn i just realized you guys were talking about the street reboot and not street 3. I hated 3 but I've always wanted to play the reboot at the right price. I'll probably buy that and madden arcade since i have like 10 bucks left over, but have you played both and is reboot better than 3?
The reboot is miles better than Street 3. Honestly, the only thing they share between them is the "Street" name, everyone has been completely redone. It runs using the regular FIFA engine, has real players and locations, varied modes and the online was pretty fun too (although that's probably dead).

As I said before, try the demo and see if it's worth $5.

I noticed that the $17 World of Tanks DLC that was free (and difficult to get to work) is easily accessible from the One's NXOE dashboard.

Go to the Gold section on the main page then scroll down to the "exclusives" section.  Boom.  Says something like it's a way to say thanks for being a gold subscriber.

Totally forgot when BC for the GWG started, and then was greeted to another 3.5 GB update when I turned my One on.

Mine says unavailable. Lame.

Who plays Halo for the story? No one plays TR's MP.
Guess they dumped it from the last game then after about 6 people played it outside of trophy/achievement boosting.

I've been playing the multiplayer one the Xbox One version for the last few weeks. Most times it's been full matches with different players.

I still don't understand why people berated it like it was filth. Same with Arkham Origins multiplayer and Bioshock 2's multiplayer. I actually enjoyed those games, but prior to playing them commentary online made it seem like they'd be absolutely unplayable. I understand the Batman game had a bad setup with games crashing and lobbies being lost at launch. and that these issues required updates, but the overall experience was fun for each of these titles.

Not starting a battle, I just want to state that the games do have an online audience.

Tomb Raider's MP wasn't too bad but at the same time it wasn't anything special, and a giant casual-fest. Arkham Origins' MP, on the other hand, was complete and utter fecal matter. I couldn't even bring myself to boost it.

Ignore my previous posts about Hexic HD on the One.  It wasn't showing in my "ready to install" list because I had it installed already. :/

Can you explain what just didn't work with the game for you?

When I first played I hated how the knock-off detective vision the gangs had didn't last long, and how you had such clunky movement. But then I understood exactly why that was as I thought more about it. I understood that having 3rd person movement like a later Gears of War title would make the gangs too efficient and deadly against Batman and Robin, so they needed to be handicap in a way that allowed the duo a chance to assault the gangs, while still being vulnerable to head on fights.

As soon as I realized and accepted that design the game made much more sense to me, and that allowed to me to enjoy it. The match where I earned Predator Paragon is probably one of my more satisfying moments online in recent memory.

I definitely agree that Batman's online was ruined by not having a join-in progress setup, and that it definitely needed more maps. But I really feel like it captured the tension of two gangs fighting for dominance while constantly on watch for the masked predators lurking to ambush them.

Ignore my previous posts about Hexic HD on the One. It wasn't showing in my "ready to install" list because I had it installed already. :/
People might miss this too since it was auto installed on 360 hard drives, so that they might not have it in their purchase history. It's free on the marketplace if anyone doesn't have it, or is new to the Xbox with the One being their first system.

Found it in the add ons on the World of Tanks page on the store, pick the bundle version.

That would annoy me, I did not buy Sabrewulf as I am planning to buy a retail version of KI, however if they are doing it a character a week I would have done it that way, should have made an announcement of some kind.

I figured it'd be one character a week when Sabrewulf and Thunder had their sale overlap. Though it could easily be limited to Season 1.

I'd buy them but I know I'd be screwing myself out of the arcade versions of the original two, as well as any other DLCs. Just gonna hope for a decent sale on the collection before S3 and crossbuy get introduced.

I am now feeling a bit confused, if not troubled.
I was going through the BC list for what I have and came across something strange.

The list had a few games on it that I knew I had but XBL does NOT say "already purchased".
I checked my Purchase History and they are in there (as full game-not trial), but the store says I have not bought them.

I am going to wait until after Thursday to see how the dust settles.
But I am a little concerned and urge others to check.

The games so far are:
Ms. Splosion Man
Fable II
NBA Jam: On Fire Edition
Yes indeed, if you purchased the games between 6/26/2012 to 3/19/2013, then there's a very good chance you got them via the craptastic "Sales & Specials+" app (aka "S&S+"). Quickly rephrasing what I used to maintain in the OP way back then, the games were offered in a different region than your home billing region (such as USA), which is how they got the games to show a special price in the app, but show regular price in the Marketplace. The bad news is that the Xbox billing dept. didn't always copy over your purchased license from the S&S+ region over to your home region (USA) ... and the result is that while you did purchase the game and it shows in your purchase history, your account doesn't have a license for your home region (USA).

To fix this, you'll need to do some research before you contact Xbox Support:
  • Extract your "full game" and "addon" purchase histories between June 2012 to March 2013.
  • Compare purchased games/DLC against the list compiled for Bort's S&S+ thread within Spylon's XBLDB forum.
  • For any games/DLC where you find a match, now check to make sure you didn't purchase any twice ... once within the S&S+ app, and again from the usual Marketplace. Sorting your purchase history alphabetically in a spreadsheet or text-editor should make this quick. You'll need to requests refunds for those duplicate purchases!
  • For any games/DLC where you find a match (but didn't purchase twice), now you'll need to check the Xbox 360 Markerplace (preferably the website) to see if it shows "already purchased" for them. If so, then Xbox Billing correctly copied over your license from the S&S+ region to your home region (USA).
Now finally if you have games/DLC purchased between June 2012 to March 2013 but they don't show as "already purchased" in the Xbox 360 Marketplace website, then you have all the research you need to contact Xbox Support, where they'll probably fix the situation in 1 of 3 ways:
  • Add the games/DLC to your account on the backend.
  • Generate 5x5 codes for you to redeem free copies of the games/DLC.
  • Or most likely ... tally up the current non-sale value of the games/DLC, and credit your account with that value.
When you contact Xbox Support, I recommend you use the chat method, so you can easily copy/paste your list into the conversation. You'll also want to be very nice, since the chat agents are just temps (and they don't know about the S&S+ app), it may take 1-2 weeks before you see a resolution (and will involve senior techs to reproduce your math/research), and nobody likes to give out free games or $$$ to a jerk.

Good night and good luck! :)

Thanks for this information. I looked through my games and found they didn't transfer my purchase of Raskulls and 2 pieces of ME 2 DLC. Guess I will be contacting MS.

Can't decide what to play...started FO4 last night, and I like it, but it has so many damn problems.

I also picked up TR and really really want to play it, but I know if i play 2 games at a time I wont end up playing one.

firstworldproblemsofacagwoooooooo

how can i view all of my marketplace purchases (including those through the sales and specials app)? my microsoft account billing only shows purchases as far back as the summer of arcade sale (2013).

What? No problems here - unless you consider "not being able to stop playing" a problem. Perhaps you're just out Gedemer-ing yourself. ;)
Im on PC ugh.

If you have too many frames per second you get stuck at terminals -.-

So frustrating.

From what i"ve seen on twitch, TR looks so good graphically. Kind of excited to play it, but FO4 is hard to set down.

Fallout is so good. Really enjoying it. I live in MA so it makes it pretty cool to see town names that I'm in often (even though they haven't really looked like their real life counterparts yet). Have had some frame rate hiccups, but other than that it's been great so far.

I played both last night. Opening sequence for Fallout is amazing and does a great job of setting the game up.

Tomb Raider was, in my opinion, even better in the open sequence. I got sucked right in. Can't wait to get home and play tonight. Unfortunately, that's probably the last I'll play of either game until next Monday night.

Played a couple of hours of Tomb Raider last night. Amazing. Completely amazing...

Loading FO4 in now.

Got a large drink at Hardens this morning and got the "Take Out" weapon came for BO3 when I entered the code. Gonna pick up some more teas this week and see if I can get the pickles reticle pack. :)

Tomb Raider feels very similar to the last game, but bigger and better. Like a proper sequel. Only about 25% through it so far. This one has side quests and more exploration than the previous game.

Played 2 hours of Fallout 4. When trying to adjust my camera to see what my new outfit looked like, I accidentally entered build mode. Huge mistake because I spent the rest of the time looting my neighbors houses for furniture and reinforcing my own house. I've got 5 TVs in my living room. Kitchen is a crafting area, but I might have to move that outside if I run out of room. Way too much fun building a base.

Do you have to build your own shelter in FO4? Part of the fun in FO3 was clearing out all the enemies from an area and claiming it for yourself. There was a place called the Anchorage Monument I think where I remember clearing out all the cockroaches but the rad zombies or whatever still showed up every now and again when I made that my home base. But the ability to leave my extra items coupled with the danger of possibly having to kill something inadvertently added to the randomness of it all.

Honestly, I've only really ever read about them.

Played and liked Dishonored. Other than that, I havent played their games. Have NV but never played more than 1hr.
Dishonored was developed by Arkane and feels much different as a result, Bethesda just published it I believe.

If you've played the Elder Scrolls and previous 2 Fallout games iys much more similar to that.

I've barely played it, but it looks like you don't have to build your own. Very minor spoiler
I moved into the house where my character used to live before the nukes.

However it looks like you can build houses from scratch if you want. You build power sources for electronics and defenses. I think other people can move in and help defend. You can also set up shops. This might be my favorite part of the game. I'm afraid I won't leave my first base.
