Hoping the Battlefront 10 hour trial goes live tonight instead of tomorrow afternoon. Also, it's gonna be nice to have the game fully installed so when I get my physical copy next week, I won't need to worry about installation.

Yes indeed, if you purchased the games between 6/26/2012 to 3/19/2013, then there's a very good chance you got them via the craptastic "Sales & Specials+" app (aka "S&S+"). Quickly rephrasing what I used to maintain in the OP way back then, the games were offered in a different region than your home billing region (such as USA), which is how they got the games to show a special price in the app, but show regular price in the Marketplace. The bad news is that the Xbox billing dept. didn't always copy over your purchased license from the S&S+ region over to your home region (USA) ... and the result is that while you did purchase the game and it shows in your purchase history, your account doesn't have a license for your home region (USA).

To fix this, you'll need to do some research before you contact Xbox Support:

  • Extract your "full game" and "addon" purchase histories between June 2012 to March 2013.
  • Compare purchased games/DLC against the list compiled for Bort's S&S+ thread within Spylon's XBLDB forum.
  • For any games/DLC where you find a match, now check to make sure you didn't purchase any twice ... once within the S&S+ app, and again from the usual Marketplace. Sorting your purchase history alphabetically in a spreadsheet or text-editor should make this quick. You'll need to requests refunds for those duplicate purchases!
  • For any games/DLC where you find a match (but didn't purchase twice), now you'll need to check the Xbox 360 Markerplace (preferably the website) to see if it shows "already purchased" for them. If so, then Xbox Billing correctly copied over your license from the S&S+ region to your home region (USA).
Now finally if you have games/DLC purchased between June 2012 to March 2013 but they don't show as "already purchased" in the Xbox 360 Marketplace website, then you have all the research you need to contact Xbox Support, where they'll probably fix the situation in 1 of 3 ways:
  • Add the games/DLC to your account on the backend.
  • Generate 5x5 codes for you to redeem free copies of the games/DLC.
  • Or most likely ... tally up the current non-sale value of the games/DLC, and credit your account with that value.
When you contact Xbox Support, I recommend you use the chat method, so you can easily copy/paste your list into the conversation. You'll also want to be very nice, since the chat agents are just temps (and they don't know about the S&S+ app), it may take 1-2 weeks before you see a resolution (and will involve senior techs to reproduce your math/research), and nobody likes to give out free games or $$$ to a jerk. :lol:

Thanks for the info! I found that I purchased Left 4 Dead 2 the sacrifice twice, and I have Space Invaders Extreme and it's DLC but both show not purchased on xbox.com.

I've spent an hour and a half on chat explaining the situation to xbox support, but "Carlos" don't get it. Trying to escalate the issue.

 
Games like fallout bring out my inner kleptomaniac. I play the game for 500 hours don't go anywhere on the story mode. I just break into places and steal stuff until I can't move and just spend all my time slow walking to a store so I can sell my stolen shit to get money to not buy stuff. Screw that I ain't spending that money! It took me five hours to walk to that town!!! Go to new place steal some more shit. Walk 3 hours back to town. Oh!!! +1 to my barter and speach craft skills!!! Now I can sell that stolen shit for .50 more!!! fuck yeah!!!! Repeats process all over again.

Veteran levels are end game content. Also wow's forever extending end game is a better system? "We don't know what to do to keep players at end game." "I know, let's just raise the level cap again so the old end game content can be ignored."

Also, I'd like to add that earning Champion levels account wide is pretty fantastic if you're inclined to try multiple classes.
 
Quick question... if I change my console setting to "automatically download updates", does that mean it will start downloading everything i have in my queue, or will it download from that moment going forward only?  Asking so I can turn that setting on and automatically download the NXOE when it comes out

That doesn't seem worth very much from ms's perspective. I know BC helps encourage people on the fence to transition to new gen, but if you're not recouping costs from the sales of the games as well as the system how are you going to justify all the r&d, testing, and negotiations w/ publishers?

That said, all BC games should be free because of entitlement and to feed the collective backlog. All hail the mighty backlog, may it grow forever unto the horizon. We should all be blessed to have two games added to our backlog any time we start a new game, lest the majesty of the almighty backlog be dimishished. Ye, and so it came to pass that there was much backlogging of games and verily the people did rejoice at the sight.

From the way I understand, he created his own version of GTA Online via modding, which pretty much says fuck you to Rock Stars microtransaction-based economy for GTA Online.

I know Rockstar/Take2 really don't mind modders, but I'm sure what he did went over the line.

But what the fuck do I know? It's almost 6am, I've been playing Fallout for the past six hours and my kids are going to be awake in two hours. I need to get to bed.

This was just me, but BLOPS 3 campaign was anything but bad-ass. The gameplay was great, but the story was just a steaming pile. Made absolutely little to no sense what was going on. Characters you could have cared less about. Just kept asking myself "what in the hell were the writers thinking?" After hearing about the frozen forest for the 100th time (trust me, no spoiler there) I wanted to remove my ears. Last year's AW campaign had the far better story by a mile. BLOPS 3 also fell into the start/stop gameplay routine of Skylanders Trap Team. After a while, I just kept thinking ... STFU and let me play.
 
the progression system in black ops 3 zombies actually seems pretty cool, I thought I would not like it as I like the fact that zombies is all self contained but it seems fun

This happens to me a lot. Two hours of sleep won't help you, man. Two more hours of fallout on the other hand, could lead to some epic moments and/or amazing loot.

And when you're kids wake up, make them watch you blow the limbs off super mutants in slow motion.

Jesus... I played TR night 1 and loved it. Booted up FO4 yesterday and got hooked and now SW:BF is available for the trial... fucking hell... I'll never get through these games...

By the way - Hardee's has a Black Ops Care Package meal... You can win camos in BO3 and, more importantly (for Darby), you can win a pickle reticle for your weapons (and a French fries reticle). The large drink has a web code that gets you the in game stuff.

Instead of going on deep expeditions in search of free items of various market places, you should come out once in a while. Get some Sun on your skin, go on a date night, etc,. And you won't feel so behind O:)
