Xenoblade Chronicles X Special Edition $89.99 - Amazon, GameStop, Best Buy

HELLO EVERYONE!

TOMORROW IS THE DAY!

I WILL YELL IF I WANT!

Side note, does anyone know when Best Buy stuff arrives? Just got an email saying my order has shipped. I doubt I will get this tomorrow, but was thinking about buying the game (I've been waiting A LONG TIME FOR THIS) tomorrow and when my special edition arrives, returning the unopened game to Best Buy.

thoughts?

Edit: An unboxing to get you excited:
since it a bundled game more then likely like the other Nintendo bundled games recently it will have a not for resale place on back of game case and no upc meaning that won't work.

OK. watched the video and saw there is a bar code ...

Mine just shipped.

I was a bit concerned since Bestbuy shipments usually are sent out a couple of days before release, but this time it was shipped the day before.

But I just noticed that the warehouse it is coming from is kinda close to me, so I suppose that is the reason why. Anyways, can't wait for tomorrow. :)

Bestbuy had this in stock soo long. Due to chip card change i had to cancel and reorder on Nov 8, BB shipped no issue, gonna be lotsa these out there. Probably extras im thinking.

Good. About time Nintendo make something actually available to the masses.

This might not be rare today, but I can certainly see it being rare down the line.
exactly xenoblade on wii wasn't rare and was easily available for months and months after release at most gamestops only once the supplies started drying up did it become rare which took about a year

Regardless of how rare, you might as well buy this now if you wanted it. Regular versions of Nintendo games don't even go down in price that much let alone a Special Edition. Doubt this ever hits clearance or anything.

I can't remember if I mentioned this earlier or not, but this has put me in kind of an awkward situation as far as Bet Buy's Nintendo button promo.  Xenoblade regular edition was one of my preorders for the button set, but I also placed one with Best Buy for the Special Edition.  At the time I placed the second preorder, they said that the SE wouldn't count towards the button promo.

Does anyone remember when we're supposed to get the information about the button set?  I'm hoping it's shortly after tomorrow.

Not sure how it's going to work. One of my preorders was Star Fox T_T. They said I'll still be eligible but who knows how the promo will work now.

Only have one Wii U game...Don't have any time to play this right now but might be cool to own the Special Edition. I'll see if there is a copy in store tomorrow.

Mine is coming Monday, ordered from GameStop. Might return to store though because I could use the money and the SE is particullary weak to me!

Best Buy shipped mine today. Ordered the first day it was posted on BB for GCU. Good luck everybody getting a copy.

Did Amazon ever get this back in stock from the lightning quick initial sellout?

Most of my Best Buy release date stuff comes around midafternoon so I will likely get it by 3pm tomorrow.

If they did it was just a flash or two. I never saw it in stock there and I check my wish list regularly.

Somehow I ended up buying two from bestbuy and one from Amazon I forgot to cancel.  Weird one from BB is shipped 2nd day while the other is next day air.  They both will arrive at the same time tomorrow.  Meanwhile Amazon "with prime" release date delivery comes Tuesday.  Oh well I will pick the best one and return the others.

Mine from Best Buy came in a box.   Also the USB drive is metal and doesn't just have MP3s on it.  It has an application you have to run and the box lists it as only being Windows compatible.

I couldn't care less about the memory size of the USB flash drive. We should be more pissed off that we're only getting a sampler of the soundtrack itself. There's no reason this thing should only have ten songs on it. They could have included the entire four disc soundtrack, a digital booklet with artwork and liner notes, and a menu/user interface, similar to iTunes LP. Kinda like that Beatles Apple released over six years ago...

I'm the other way. They marketed it as a sampler. People knew that before buying. They could have made the choice not to buy it.

However, they didn't advertise in their listings the size of the USB drive, and I said when it was first put up for pre-order that there is probably a reason for it. They wouldn't want to drive sales away with a very cheap USB drive. For them to put one in there for 1 GB? That's pretty low, and even though I expected it, people should be kinda pissed about it. USB drives are so cheap today, they don't even make really make 1 GB ones anymore, and they can probably be has for like a dollar or two. They went so cheap on that.

And the more people continue to scoop these up, the cheaper the companies are going to go. From a sales standpoint, why put any effort into making statues look nice or contents be valuable if people are going to buy them regardless? The consumers are just as culpable as the gaming companies.

Yeah, I know it was labeled as a sampler. I'm just saying that they could have, and should have put the whole soundtrack on there. They're MP3's on a USB stick, which honestly, is fine. It's not like they would have had to make more room in the box to jam a huge CD case in there.....

They absolutely should have, but I'm sure there was some greedy monetary reason they didn't.

Actually they're not just MP3s on the stick. The USB has a DRM application that you have to run to view the music. You also can't just move the application off the drive because it doesn't actually have the music as part of it, it's just an 8MB file.
