Well, I wanted to get Rampage Knights but lol guess that shit ain't happening.

Let's talk happier notes: Game of the year.

Vetoing Witcher 3 and Phantom Pain right out. W3's combat is too garbage to qualify. Phantom Pain has the absolute best control scheme out there but they made a shit game to go along with it. Weak-ass stealth and mission design. Not appreciably better than Blacklist except for that control scheme which makes Blacklist Fisher look like Chaos Theory Fisher. It's a really good game if you are sexually aroused by waiting for chopper rides or pointlessly walking across a vast stupid empty wasteland to pad out the game length.

My picks are, of course, Huniepop and Downwell.

By the way, Downwell is just 2 bux on sale right now... oh sorry I was trying to get us AWAY from that discussion.

But Downwell really is incredible.

And fuck your whore feelings, Huniepop had some of the best match 3 I've played recently.

Guy whose deets I see only owns/buys the Borderlands games and has gifted them all to various people regardless of price.

At any rate, Steam is catching hellfire for this and rightfully so. They'll do some compensation almost for sure.

They finally took the store offline.

Maybe we'll even get the Arkham Knight Season Pass?

(Please. We'll get a free copy of Left 4 Dead, if anything.)

Witcher 3. The combat is built as it's supposed to be. It's obvious they could make a high speed system after playing the other character. Geralt is a slow sword master who you have to time hits and dodges; it's just more straight forward in this release. The last two had a lot more timing elements to it. It has the best narrative, the best fleshed out open world, tons of content, and truly touching story beats. It's downside, to me, is a plus to others, in that it's just so damn long.

I'd get Downwell if Steam wasn't, well, down?

Huniepop? Nope. Nep? Nep! Get on my level.

Nothing like this has ever happened before on Steam and on the worst possible day for it to happen. They likely drove away a LOT of business as well. There will be some compensation, we will probably complain, but Im trying to see the bright side haha.

Only RollingSkull would talk about games when everyones Steam account is at risk.
... and he's wrong. It's ARK

Bitch I play Monster Hunter. I know what a slow swordsman feels like. Geralt doesn't feel like that at all. It's a clunky ugly combat system that they only get away with because it's an RPG and RPGs are supposed to have shit gameplay.

I still have a ways to go to hit the storytelling as so far it's just been filler chasing leads and the occasional side quest which are all the same CSI crap or the same "lol i rused you Witcher the whole time lol."

But there is a LOT of game to play to really rule on that. I'm working it.

Go to settings, Payment Settings, Preapproved Payments and disable it there.
Thanks

Hey guys, is anyone else having trouble logging into their Steam?
I stayed logged in after this whole thing happen.

________

So what are the chances of valve giving us something for free in return?
I'm more worried about my account info being at risked

Free stuff is cool

WTF do I do. I was loged in on my client and still am. Do I log off or will that make it worse? I bought Shovel Knight this morning and was playing it when all this started. I don't know If I shut down the client will I be able to ever log back in on it? I just don't know. WTF?

Monster Hunter? That Weeb trash game? Please.... While it might not be Dark Souls good, the combat allows for you to succeed where levels say you shouldn't. Just have to learn how to use it. Never had a single problem with it outside of issues pertaining to open world jankiness.

And you can always make the game infinitely better with mods unlike that crap console game.

Well, I'm 30min late to this craptastic Steam party.  I can't do anything to my account - it's down.  Luckily I was on GOG galaxy with witcher 3.

Which, FYI, does have kind of crap combat, but I'm really loving the world and story.  Oh, and I'm a Gwent master.

I really, really hate the fucking combat in the last couple of Witcher games. I'm probably like the only person in the universe that thinks so but I much prefer ever the chain attack system of the first game.

Then you clearly have not tried to lock on to and isolate one enemy. Witcher locks on about as well as his dumb horse autopilots.

I don't think there's a single action RPG out there that doesn't let you beat enemies you are underleveled for using those game's dumb AI or other edge cases in the game balancing because action RPGs don't care about balancing. Certainly true here.

I mean, it's not atrocious but most of the defense and attack options are mostly for show. There's no windup I've seen that dodge will work for ACTUALLY DODGING so it's only really just to cancel attack animations when the big guy is about to swing back or whatever or those scripted flying bosses swooping at you...

brb downloading that Gwent mod.

Was fun. I was the only person in my circle of friends who even knew about the Witcher OG.

Off to play Undertale. Restarted due to the no-kill recommendation. I wanted to beat on things in my RPG, so this is really weird.

Valve:

As a result of Steam's regrettable downtime due to our shit security that makes even Sony look good, we at Valve have decided to extend the holiday sale for 48 hours.

Erryone else:

The hell? Why're you punishing us?
