Hopefully they take care of the adjustment on my backordered Krusty fun pack so I don't have to contact them about it. Tough call for $4.

What was the third preorder fun pack for $7.50? I thought I only saw Doc Brown and Cyberman.

Edit: Oh, Sensei Wu? I'm just gonna let my kid get his Jay Team Pack for the Ninjago portion.
You need either Sensei Wu or Legolas for the pole vault ability

Got Legolas on order. I'm trying to limit spending my money on the pieces that I want (already far more than I should be); let him use his gift cards on stuff he wants. I'm already passing on the Simpsons level pack unless it gets really cheap, so no worries about completeness for me.

My kids LOVE the LEGO Dimensions, but I still hope they eventually make full games for Back to the Future and Ghostbusters. Maybe a few of the other movie franchises as well. It's nice having the mini levels, but I really think they could do full games for those.

The Lego Dimensions Starter Packs are really cheap now on Amazon.

$40.xx for the Xbox 360 and Wii U versions.

$10 is deducted in the checkout.

Yeah, if you have legolas then you don't need sensei wu. I skipped all the lotr people as gandalf unlocks lotr and I have a ton of the characters from the lotr / hobbit lego sets.

I would love full bttf and ghostbusters games. I wouldn't be surprised if we get a full ghostbusters lego game when the new movie hype train starts.

That's my other consideration: skipping where feasible the ones my kid has in Lego already (Benny, Unikitty, etc.). I've never been able to get into the vice of buying my own Lego sets in adulthood, so I'm living vicariously.

is there a big difference between Dimensions wii U and PS4?

some reviews in amazon say the wii U has several glitches.

I would appreciate any input from people that own it on wii U

I don't think it was an early deal. I live on the West Coast and am pretty sure I placed my orders between noon and 1 yesterday.
That's early for me, especially on a holiday when I stay up till 6am gaming ;). But it turns out I missed it by an entire day, actually, so I don't feel quite so bad. I thought that all happened this morning/early afternoon but it sounds like it was Friday. It is so hard to follow all this stuff daily. Like I said I only heard about it at all because the $14 packs were linked to the front page of CAG. The $2.50 deal was never there as far as I know.

I think almost everyone who got the pre-orders for $2.50 and not just the Wicked Witch and Chima one were either right place right time or had pre-orders in to Amazon with the $5 promo already.

Definitely right place, right time. I'd guess the 2.50 price lasted 20 minutes or so. Maybe a little longer.

Now fun packs are just $6.00 at Best Buy with GCU.

I guess I'll go get an adjustment on the two $8 packs that are in transit this week.  To return GameStop items to save $1.50 each or not..

Hmmmmmm tempting to get some LD figures for $6, but I'll be getting in about 9 of them this week from Amazon from the magical 20 minutes or so they were super super cheap. And yes, I can confirm it was very temporary. I was sending Amazon PM links to GameStop's $7.50 prices when all of a sudden they all went to $7.50 and I got one of each of as many as I could.

I waved off the fun packs at $14.99 for the most part, with the exception of the Simpsons characters. This wave of deals the past few days has me ordering, cancelling, and switching orders to another site for packs that I would have never bought at MSRP. I'm such a sucker. At least I know I'm not alone in this.

...aaaand I just ordered one of every Fun Pack from BB. :)

After this order shows up, the only set I won't have will be the Ninjago Team Pack.

I never really planned to go all in on this game but these recent deals have been great!

By the way- anyone buying these to *gasp* actually play the game- Benny, Cyborg and Cyberman (all of which happen to be on sale) are super useful. Of all the fun pack figures, only those 3 offer 6 different abilities that aren't available in the starter pack.

There is a good deal of overlap between the 3, but with all of them on sale, you should probably buy at least one.

This is kind of useful for making selective purchases if you've no interest in playing "Gotta catch 'em all".

Thanks Best Buy.  I emailed them about the drop from $10 to $7.50 for one of my orders that is in transit, and they credited me 50 cents for each pack.  Nothing better to do with my time than another email for the extra $1.50 each since they ignored GCU.

I bought several Fun packs at Fred Meyer in early December for about $9 each.  I'm returning all of them and rebuying them at Best Buy for $6 each ;).  (Plus I'm getting a few more).

Looks like I need to get some price-matching done at BB again. Good thing it's not out of the way. Don't see anything new I want though,... Anyone recommend (or not) the wicked witch pack to unlock that world?

Amazon supposedly won't price match themselves until an order has shipped.  So if the price goes back up before it comes back in stock, I guess I won't get the price?

When the order ships and you get charged, you're supposed to get the lowest price it's been since you've placed the order.

I am playing it. Enjoying it (except for the aforementioned Chroma Key puzzles, which can bite my shiny metal ass)! I have Cyborg, and he's definitely a good one to have. I could have used Benny a few times already, but I'll just wait for whichever Dr. Who character lets me do hacking, I guess. I just upgraded my Portal turret to Level 3 to get a flying tow hook, and I have sonics and tow-bar via Batmobile v2. I also have the Wicked Witch, and she's VERY handy.

I also noticed that GameStop is selling used LEGO Dimensions for $29.99. I wonder what that is. Whole starter pack with the pad and figures or just the game disc? The game disc by itself seems kind of useless without the toy pad.
Game disc only. I was told it's only to be used as a replacement if your disc is lost or broken.

Wicked Witch is very handy. Flight, magic, and blows up silver bricks.

Played the level packs to unlock the vehicles. Portal was an absolute blast. Simpsons was mediocre, and BttF really sucked. The level ended, and we were like, "That's it?" Like, literally 15 minutes including exploring.

Doctor Who pack glitches on us constantly, so we couldn't finish it. Random people would get stuck, and events would glitch and not let us continue. Restarted and tried and characters got stuck again. They could jump but otherwise had no animation, and couldn't move. Benny was stuck in Street Shark mode, surfing the floor.

How's the Oz world she unlocks?
It's pretty nice. There's the yellow and red brick roads, the Emerald Castle, and the munchkin village. None of them are giant or anything, but my wife and I spent a good hour just roaming and doing quests and I think we've only completed around a quarter of the stuff you can do. So far the only downside is you need the Jay ninjago figure to do one of the quests which is kind or frustrating that he's the only one that can do it and is a toys r us exclusive from what I've seen.

I just realized yesterday that you can go to Kansas, too. Just go off the map and under the clouds. No idea that was there!

I saw a post on slickdeals that toysrus might be doing a 2 for $15 on funpacks.

YMMV im sure, but a good way to get Jay.

Can't you just use the hire-a-hero option for that part?

Agreed. I've avoided the Bttf set because of the horrible reviews but with the crazy deals on these sets I'll likely get it. Even bought the Doctor Who set and I've never even watched the show.

I almost wish there were more grindy trophies in the game because I'm finding the adventure worlds a blast to play with my kids. They haven't touched Skylanders Superchargers since we started playing dimensions.

I think that's preorders. I just pricematch yesterday before it started going back up and they kept the $10 promotion. I did it in a chat. $36 after promotion! Oh, and mine hasn't shipped yet.

Amazon doesn't price match at all (unless you mean automatic price matching of other retailers prior to making a purchase). If you get a price match from Amazon, they track it and consider it a customer satisfaction payment, no different than if you receive a damaged item and they give you a partial credit or any other type of customer satisfaction payment. I only say this because Amazon regularly bans people who seek multiple customer satisfaction payments in a certain period of time and they will immediately close your account and cancel any pending preorders.

Thanks for the info. Decided to pick it up. For $6, why not?
