This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

So I just finished Never Alone completely (Fox Tales DLC unlocks the final 4 achievements).  So I finished, 100%ed, and enjoyed a game I bought in the Winter Sale (Indie Gala purchase to get Nail'd and mystery bonus game (see a pattern)).  I'm feeling all sorts of smug and accomplished right now.  Can't recommend it enough.

in honor of David Bowie i am going to play Omikron: The Nomad Soul...

lol jk that game is like 10 bucks and supposedly pretty bad.

but seriously RIP...

Honestly considering that never-used ignore feature.  Anyway.

Fun thing - do Isaac daily not long after reset and assuming you don't die on floor 2 like a moron, you can briefly see yourself in the top 20 before all of the good players wake up and push you down a few hundred spots or more.

Still considering Dragons Dogma.  I might wait for a sale.  Doubt any friends will buy it until then and it sounds like having friends that play it make it more interesting.

It is on sale, 25% off ;)

Also having friends doesn't do anything for you besides getting to use their AI pawn. That's also only for a couple levels since pawns don't gain levels when with you so you want to keep switching them up for other people's which are higher level.

wtf is cougar, never heard of that brand before
Cougar
An older woman who frequents clubs in order to score with a much younger man. The cougar can be anyone from an overly surgically altered wind tunnel victim, to an absolute sad and bloated old horn-meister, to a real hottie or milf. Cougars are gaining in popularity -- particularly the true hotties -- as young men find not only a sexual high, but many times a chick with her shit together.

They make my favorite case fan although I can't say anything about their other products.

Edit: Ok, that is one aggressively ugly looking keyboard. Their fans are sort of ugly too (no worse than Noctuas, though) but at least those are stashed away in the case. That keyboard looks like someone asked "How can we make owners regret this purchase every time they walk by their desk?"

Do you pay extra for the ugliness? Is it some sort of statement about quality and looks not being linked? Is it meant to be like the other kind of cougar? Is MysterD going to answer all these rhetorical questions?

You guys had me thinking and I went snooping around for a cheaper copy of Dragon's Dogma. Found it for $19.95 at Gamerocket so I took the plunge and ordered it there. I guess I'll report back on the 15th if all is well with the order.

Okay just got my Dragon's Dogma Key overnight. Activated fine and pre-loaded. Comes with the bonus pre-order stuffs. Price is $2 higher now than what I paid on the 28th but still pretty cheap for a pre-order.

Hey, Nineteen, that's 'Retha Franklin

She don't remember the Queen of Soul?

It's hard times befallen the sole survivors

She thinks I'm crazy, but I'm just growing old...

I just cannot pull the trigger on this... Looking at my Xbox achievements from back in the day I see a started the game... Just never got far into it. I think because I got a cheap used copy and a day or so later they announced the "DLC" with a new printing of the game... and the only way to get that DLC was via the new game disc.... So it quickly went back. I THINK that's what happened... but I cannot shake the feeling that this might have been a game I started but was ultimately disappointed in even though the demo was pretty freaking awesome.

Maybe I should watch the first video of a lets play... Se if it triggers any memories.

You guys remember Dragons Dogma a lot better than I did. I played the Vanilla Dragon's Dogma on PS3 (which came with the amazing RE6 demo), and while it was decent looking and played alright, it was boring as heck. The story was nonsensical, the pawn system was bare bones at best, and the control was sometimes a bit lame....though after practice you got used to it. I feel I'll get the PC version with it's $3.75 or such. A decent game but that is all.

Dragon's Dogma is basically Skyrim with more interesting combat and where you can hire followers from your friends or random people on the net. It's a sandbox game and was never really meant to be a story game but just kind of wander and find things to do sort of game.

I'm okay with that and I enjoyed it.

Boring and Dragon's Dogma do not go hand in hand. Obviously your opinion is WRONG ;D

My Haul:

Gundemonium Collection ($2)

Bombernauts 4-pack split with friends ($3.25 after split)

Shovel Knight and Crypt of the Necromancer using steambux

and all the UmiharaKawase games at $32 cause im a dumbass

So if you're wondering what'll be in the next Humble Monthly, it's Shovel Knight and Crypt of the Necromancer
Gundemonium is in an indiegala, with other games I want, for $2

I'm not even remotely surprised

Least you fakeybroed those Umihara games. We'll have to point and make fun of you when they're back on Steam and in some indie bundle...but for now I'm jelly.

All you guys hyping Dragon's Dogma got me to grab a copy with the 25% off from everyone's favorite back-alley dealer of choice/mystery bundle stupidity tester, GMG.  I remember wanting to give it a shot on PS3 but never got around to it; hopefully the port is good and the game holds up.

I thought most were anti-hyping it, I'm on that list :)
