PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

This is my more realistic want to get to at some point PS3 games list:

Bayonetta (Started but didn't finish, not sure why)
Darksiders 1&2 (Maybe I can move 2 to PS4).
Dead Space (have 2&3 but would settle for 1)
God of War Ascension (played all the others including PSP)
ICO HD (should have finished this by now...started many times)
Mass Effect Trilogy (probably not going to happen)
Max Payne 3 (nostalgia of 1&2?)
Ni No Kuni (time sink scares me)
Ninja Gaiden 3: Razor's Edge (I know not as good but at least want to try it)
Okami HD (PS2 era leftover)
Read Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare
Resident Evil 6 (yep know it sucks but still want to see for myself)
Shadow Of The Colossus HD (PS2 era leftover)
Vanquish

I'd say skip ICO HD. Such a shitty game in my opinion. I also didn't find SoTC that entertaining either, so you could probably skip that one and be okay too. I know it's a critical darling but I thought it was boring and repetitive.

Vanquish is great and if you're not going for the plat (some of the challenge rooms are really, really hard), then the actual campaign is only like 4-6 hours.

Yeah I started ICO at least 2 or 3 times on PS2 and once on PS3...not sure I can finish it...the "combat" is so annoying and not sure I care. SOTC looks cool, but I could see repetitive being a thing, maybe I'll just try out a little at some point and see if it clicks. I guess this is why although The Last Guardian looks cool, I'm not as sold on the gameplay.

I played Darksiders 1 on 360. IRC I got almost to the end and got stuck. Rage quit and never went back. Figured I would be just as agro with Darksiders 2.

Tried one of the Dead Space games on 360. Didn't get very far but didn't seem to be something I would want to play.

Vanquish is too frustrating for me. I can see the appeal with the game but just not for me.

I would like to eventually get to these games.....

Mass Effect Trilogy, Max Payne 3 and RDR Undead Nightmare. Also Borderlands 1 and Far Cry Blood Dragon. (one of the last game I bought on 360 that I never got to)

But honestly not sure I will. I think I will start Max Payne 3 and probably FC Blood Dragon. And if they hold up decently and play well I will probably get through those two. Borderlands I did start a while ago but I think it hasn't aged well at all. Still on the fence on that one. I doubt they will ever release a remaster of this but if they did I would probably get it.

ME Trilogy just seems like too much to deal with at this point. I can decide if I should just play 2 and/or 3 or just skip.

I just find there is plenty I want to play on PS4 and enjoy the interface and how much faster the console navigates and loads most games.

I still go back and play PS1/PS2 and Gamecube games. I have more games then I will ever be able to finish for all these systems and I'm ok with that. Aside from looking great on my shelves I like jumping back and replaying old favorites or dusting off new to me oldies that I never got around to as a kid in between current gen shenanigans. It doesn't upset me that I'll never get to everything I currently own and I have no problem continuing to add to it. I have about 8 games over the next month I'll be adding to the Vita/PS4 library alone. I'll leave them to my child/children when I die and they can treasure them (if I raised them right) or sell'em off (if I raised'em wrong). Either way works as I'll be dead unable to care.

The hype for that Diablo patch is real. Every patch they put out rivals the content of paid dlcs for others. I hope it releases tomorrow so I can play it all day. Happily continuing my trend of not getting shit done with the pile of games I have.

Perfect timing for those of us playing Diablo 3--the next patch (2.4) will bring "loads of new content" and will be released by 1/15: http://www.destructoid.com/new-patch-for-diablo-3-brings-loads-of-new-content-333321.phtml

This is cool, I didn't realize it was still worked on regularly.

I read the patch notes and I mostly have no idea what a lot of it is about, but this is too bad since it is really handy as an early level dps megaboost (those fallen lunatics do an absurd amount of tiny area aoe damage). fortunately I had one drop on my hardcore character this morning so I'm good to go.
Huh, maybe I should hold off on installing the patch until I can get that ring for my Hardcore character.
Can't you just dupe the ring out in Hardcore the same as normal mode?

New (unoffical) X-Men web series in the style of the Konami X-Men arcade game debuts next week. Looks fucking awesome.

There's no reason to even fuss over equipment that's below 70. All that stuff will be outclassed before you even notice it. I don't even look at my equipment until a legendary drops or my pack gets filled.

for fucks sake, ascension is STILL not done dling.

Must be that im using wifi on the ps3 or something, dont remember dl being THIS bad when I had it wired.

I used to feel this way but then I realized I'm not a video game collector but had a sizeable collection of games. A lot of which were unopened. It's nice sometimes to see things on the shelf but it got to the point where it started to just look like a mess to me. As for the something to play, it basically boils down to there is ALWAYS something to play in this day and age. Most of it at your fingertips. Sure some random gems that you can only get\play in one place but sometimes you just have to leave that shit in your memory and move on.

Made some good money selling off sealed Gamecube games among other things. Reminds me I have a mint copy of Brave Fencer Musashi for PS1 that I should probably sell off....most likely won't be getting to it. I actually have a PSONE with an LCD screen that probably has about 30 mins of playtime on it that I should find and sell off too.

Gonna try and purge even more than I already have this year. Basically anything I don't need.

When it comes to Video games less will never be more for me, but we're all different people with different hobbies and viewpoints. I get nearly as much satisfaction from collecting as I do playing.

Mostly true, but that's why this ring is dope. It continually summons walking mini-nukes which, if you're soloing, matters a lot. It cuts most elite / boss battles down to probably around 1/4 the amount of time it takes without which makes it much more survivable (and less of an endurance contest). There might be some reason to ignore it that I'm missing, but I still use it on my level 70 crusader since it'll sometimes hit 8 digits of damage.

Tiny Troopers is dumb fun. I think I'm getting way to attached to some of my troopers though, they've lived through like 5-6 missions, and now I'm afraid to start a new chapter as they'll probably die. I like the stat boost they get for not dying lol.

I am taking tomorrow off so if the other two are free we can maybe burn through a lot of the hardcore run!

Urge to change mind about requesting a duped ring rising...

Yeah I liked it enough to bother doing the glitch to get 100%. Its something to do with kills but I dont remember exactly. Its on the trophy guide if your interested.

So I have 2 ps3 activated on my account with sony, when I select to download games on the site to it, doesnt seem to work, think the one im not using is primary, any good way to fix that?

I loved Dante's Inferno. I played it on release day as I love me some God of War wannabes. It isnt nearly as good as any of the GoW games but it played well and didnt have any bad glitches or gameplay issues that I recall.

I think I bought that when it was cheap too. Never got around to playing it though. Let me know if it is any good. I am pretty sure it is installed on my PS3.

Dude, we should totally play it at the same time, we can pretend its a new release and gab about it in here!!!!

There's always the argument that says Good gameplay is Good gameplay no matter when it was released. If he wants to play something from the ps3 era or even back on the SNES, who cares?

Dante's Inferno's alright. There are plenty of games I'd play before it, though. The co-op DLC is reasonably challenging (much more challenging than the base game) and pretty fun if you're interested in it.

Dante's Inferno was a real dick about health replenishment and how often it would let you save. I'm not very good at those games but I found it a lot more punishing than GoW. GoW lets you refill after every large fight, but with DI I'd get through a fight with barely any health left and then immediately have another arena afterwards with no chance to heal.

Cuphead sure is pretty, wonder if it will deliver in gameplay. If it does hope it comes to PS4? Wasn't 2015 XBOX's greatest gaming games in the history of the world?

I, like pharm, loved Dante's Inferno. Just use a collectibles guide so you don't have to do 2 complete playthroughs for the plat. You'll only have to go through maybe an hour or two of a new game plus playthrough to max out Dante if you get all the collectibles the first go around.

Thanks for tip, looked over the guide a bit, pretty straight forward it looks like

it was finally actually confirmed by the studio that it is an xbox one console exclusive unfortunately (in the comments). it will be on pc and mac/linux in the future though. they hemmed and hawed in previous interviews but it seems to be locked down now.

there's also purdy pictures in that linked post.
