I see that The Mean Greens is the free ign prime game this month, is it any good? Steamcharts says there's only 52 people on it now, lol.
Its not worth joining Prime for. If you really want it, people are trading it for around a key on Steamgifts. It was also given away free very briefly a few weeks ago on Gamespot.

That said, these type of games are destined to struggle with all the multiplayer games out there. I would like to play it, but I don't think I'd play it enough. It's almost certainly bundle fodder.

The Mean Greens is not good. I bought it and refunded it.

It's worse than a generic shooter. The controls are bad, the hitboxes are bad, the weapon balance is bad, the level design are bad.

Dont be fooled by pretty graphics and people who reviews the game saying "I LOVE THIS GAME" but only has 0.2hrs played.

I played with my best friends for slightly under 2 hours and felt nothing the whole time.

it's just a generic shooter underneath the skin of plastic soldiers. And the fact that it is MULTIPLAYER shooter ONLY will make it die even faster. Damn lazy indie developers to program AI bot and single player campaign. They will question why their games become irrelevant and got no sale after the 3 month of initial launch hype when the MP crowd moves to the next MP indie fad.

I told ppl this and get a bunch of white knights jump on me and praise this as if this is the second coming of the Counter Strike/Team Fortress God. Even the AAA, well supported multiplayer-only Evolve got massacred when they go with the MP-only route. Charging $60+ and only offer ppl 1/3 of what used to be offered (SP + MP + offline bots) is greedy and unhealthy for the community

We just played Shark Attack Deathmatch 2 and it was pretty fun and worth the $1.88 it cost in a four pack.  Only two modes so far, Deathmatch and Co-Op Survival, but we only played Deathmatch since Co-Op is only 2 players.  More modes promised (CTF and Team DM) and also a mode where you get to play as the shark.  It's a fun twist on the MP FPS.  The water adds a different element to the movement and shooting too since it has water physics on the harpoon so you have to anticipate where the harpoon will be going.  So far only one upgrade gun which is the chain gun and there is also a flash bang grenade.  Sharks seem to vary in aggressiveness so they can be mostly background in one level and then pretty vicious/active in another.  Had fun and will probably revisit in a year when new material is released for it.  It's basically dead unless you have someone to play with, but if we do another bro night I highly recommend you join in on the fun!

Yeah, Shark Attack Deathmatch 2 (or SADM2 as we pros call it) was pretty fun but the community seemed to be us and two other people.  The water, besides screwing with your shots and adding the third dimension, also means that camping is impractical since you'll just run out of air.  The sharks were a nice addition, coming in to screw up your fight when you least needed it.  Maps were visually interesting and a good variation between tunnels and wide open areas.  All in all a good game for the genre although I'm not optimistic about it getting fully developed given how lacking the community seemed to be.  No SP or option for bots although I guess you could swim around on an empty server and hunt sharks.

Kind of Steam to remind me that I suck, even after the game is over.

Wish i could have joined, but I no have Shark Attack game. I will be on for ark tomorrow though.

Edit: Also was playing MWO with a friend when I got the invite, so it's not like I could drop out to buy bundle fodder in the middle of a match and not sound like an asshole.

does MWO= mechwarrrior online? because if so, i have been wanting to play with some people, the game is really hard for beginniners tho

I has ARK! I played it once, wandered down the beach for like 15 minutes before getting attacked by a series of successively bigger dinosaurs before one finally killed me and I haven't touched it since.

Yes it does. And I am basically a beginner myself. My friend plays quite a bit, and he bought me a 3 pack of mechs so now I have 30 days of premium time to chew through. You can add me on Steam if you want, same name as this forum.

I expect consolebros there too. Syntax has an army of domesticated dinos. He might even let you ride one.

Way to show people how your $60 game can do what a $1.88 game can do:D/
it was actually $36 on steam winter sale, u can also do racing like dirt rally. and fps shooting modes in first person mode in pc. there are tons of activies to do. it is worth that $36 admission price.

Hmmm, well I was talking about Mechwarrior, and I think you may be thinking of Syntax.

10ish hours into Dead Rising 3 and I've had 0 technical issues.  I guess the rough stuff was in the early months of the game's release but now after a simple FPS uncapper everything seems fine.

lol maybe we should have done the event on thursday. The open beta for predator mode (where you can play as a shark) went live about 40 minutes ago.

EDIT: Tested out the predator mode with the dev (SniperED007) and had a lot of fun. Great mode if you have a lot of people, very difficult to avoid the shark when it's down to 2-3 people though. Encountered some glitches but overall they weren't major issues and the beta is very playable. I set up another event so we can try the predator mode next tuesday, adds a lot of replay value. IMO it's a lot more fun than the standard diver vs. diver mode.

Some screenshots of the final results screen with the games I had with the dev:

Reminder:  Buy those Powerball tickets for tonight's drawing!  (Jackpot is 1.5 Billion dollars.)

So question of the day...

If you won the lottery (not necessary the above but of a sizable amount) would you still wait for sales or just straight from steam?

(Myself, I think would still shop sales...  I do enjoy saving a few bucks here and there.  Its almost like a hunt...  That said I would buy far more games at release.)

I'm sure everyone laughed when I fakeybro'd the four pack during the Winter sale, then rolled their eyes and thought "what horrible game will Foxypie force us to play next." Now we're broing it up two weeks in a row. Though, to be fair, I think a lot of Spoder's love for the game comes from the fact he's pretty good at it.

If I won the powerball I would buy this for foxypie.  I think thats closer to the price you were looking to pay for a mechanical keyboard and a better brand than my cougar post the other day.
