I don't know how it is on PC with gamepad but the UI is entirely different on console (yes, the menus are worse) and the basically wrapped the Champions of Norrath/Dark Alliance games around Diablo 3. I find it far more enjoyable than what I've played of D3 on PC. I guess I have no interest in playing in whatever kick you in the balls hard permadeath mode there is these days so I don't need exacting precision and would rather enjoy myself even if I occasionally attack the wrong monster.

And I never said KBM didn't work well, of course it does.

Or not close enough to a border. Always feels like that's what most of the Amber Alerts here are, some family member takes the kids and tries to run off to either Mexico or California.

It says in the T&C of the promotion that they're only giving out 2 copies of ABC total. Its the longest of longshots. They could even be gone already since the promotion has been going for 2 months.

Yep you get the enhanced edition but damn that's a lot of money for as old as that game is. They used the EE to keep the price high and I don't have one of those rare magical Walmarts around that's selling it for $10. :whistle2:(

Well, plus it's one of those games that relies on the whole "classic" "retro" thing as part of its lure.  But if something is going to play like a ten-fifteen year old game, I can probably wait another year or two to get it.  I'm not playing it to see how it pushes the envelope of modern gaming.

I joined YCAG for some B-ball action last night.  Smackattack couldn't join us because first his doctor blinded him and then his computer exploded.  We played a few matches.  As usual, I alternated between sucking and beasting.  It's a really good b-ball game, but with any MMO style game you really have to level up your char and spend your skills wisely to compete.  My PF is at a disadvantage since I've been spending my points on 3PT shooting instead of rebounding or blocking.  Still managed to win MVP one game, which was nice.

YCAG is pretty helpful/friendly, especially when it comes to helping people learn the ropes in basketball. His gaming habits just go from the extremes of F2P to overpriced AAA GTA.

Stuck at work for a 24 hour shift so might break my seasonal one post a month rule. So I finally made a CAG broh night on Ark the other day and it was fun. Saw Brut on there with his badass dinos. He tried to step over the brawny brotha mansion and got attacked by one of the T-rexs. When then ran around gaining levels and I accidently killed Duke again sorry broh. Had a good time will have to make another. What is the link of scheduled events so I can see if I have the games you brohs are playing in the future?

As I said earlier, ARK is kind of tough for a Bro night because of the whole MMO thing. People just starting don't know what to do and building a thatch hut is sort of a solo endeavor. But there's a couple big flying islands without any dinos on them and Brut and I were talking about converting them to PVP style arenas. Something like that could be entertaining for a one-off Fakey-Bro night (either team fights or last man standing or dumping some dinos in there, Shark attack style) should we ever get our act together.

Yeah I suggest anyone playing ARK for the first time to venture it solo and learn the game on your own. That is what I did for the first couple of days not knowing what to do made it a lot more fun and don't join the tribes right away. You will learn how to get resources, clothes and tools to fight off dinos and building your first shack by yourself will be more rewarding. After you get to a point of knowing the basics then join the tribe so you can get levels faster and still venture out on your own until you start taming beasts. I heard you and Brut talking about the arena and that would be nice once I can tame another raptor (Tom you will not be forgotten my first dead raptor broh) or maybe even a Spino if they would stop eating me. Really glad all the CAGs talked me into buying this game because I had a rule of not buying or playing EA games but this one is done right because the devs are always updating. Also people with weaker systems should look at optimization guides on steam or youtube because after I did a couple of tweaks I run the game at a steady 60fps.

Oh, yeah I have to wait until two days before my 30 day G2A shield trial expires to be able to cancel that. I disabled automatic payments in paypal though just to be sure.

When I checked again at the tail end of the my "free" trial, it had already been disabled.

 
So random shet time: What do the CAG brohs use for office/gaming chairs? Amazon links would be nice because I have some credit there I can use. Looking to send between $100 to $200.

I had a good one that lasted years but broke after I thought it was a good idea to try to sit 3 people in it. So I got a thrift store chair I have been using for an inbetween chair until I had to pull the pad from the old chair because it got uncomfortable and needs to be retired.

 
I should probably look into optimizing ARK but I have to install the new PSU I got for Christmas and then I'll be done tweaking my computer for a good long time and might even do some cable management (probably not). 

Also, after finishing the basketball action I decided to give The Last Inua a try.  For those not in the know, it was a game with a similar theme (Inuit people) that was released around the time Never Alone came out and got bundle soon thereafter.  I remember being excited at the time it was bundled because I really wanted to play Never Alone and figured this would be similar.  Then I didn't play it for like a year until yesterday. 

My recommendation?  Don't play it.  And if you do play, play it BEFORE Never Alone.  If you play it afterwards you'll probably quit within a minute it's so inferior.  I'll probably power through it because they say it's only about two hours, but man, playing it is like back in the day when you'd go to Blockbuster and they didn't have the movie you wanted to watch so you got the b-movie knockoff like Paranormal Situation or Copperman.

I don't really have a gaming chair, per se. I have an office chair. I like it. Probably not what you would want since I got it more for the aesthetic than the comfort level. I usually get my office chairs on clearance from Staples and am not too choosy. You can get some sweet deals on stuff for 75% off when they are trying to get rid of it. If you have an Ollie's near you, they sometimes have those gaming chairs for a discount. I tend not to like the look of gaming chairs (the faux racing look) so I tend to stay away, though some of the built in features sound like they would be neat for like five minutes.

 
Regarding Divinity OS, I totally missed the kickstarter for Divinity OS 2.  One of the "tiers" was a steam key for 1 and for 2 (target date 12/2016) for $50.  I could not see on Larian's page that they were still taking money/pledges like some others have done post kickstarter.  FYI, they had $27 tier for OS 2 steam key.  Yes, the EE edition propelled the price back up, but with Divinity OS 2 coming reportedly December, the price should drop, but all is dictated by the market as I noticed people were buying at 26.79.  If sales were to drop, the price should as well.

I can't help because I'm sitting on a wooden kitchen chair. But my wife bought me an office chair from IKEA that's still in the box so I should probably put that together today. So thanks for the reminder.

Make sure, if you're buying leather, that the description states exactly what KIND of leather it is. Bonded leather is essentially the particle board of leathers -- little scraps blended together and dried over a backing to technically be "leather" but with little durability. I bought an office chair with bonded leather once and the seat started falling apart within a year (and I'm not an especially big guy or anything to put special stress on it). It wasn't splitting at the seams either; sections of the seat where just tearing under the weight of sitting on it. After that, I'd rather buy a quality cloth or even synthetic seat than a shitty leather one.

My old chair was from Staples on clearance so I might have to stop by after work tomorrow and found there is a Ollie's in South Carolina never heard of it before and near Staples so I can swing by. Yeah I am not brainwashed into the racer chairs and just need something comfortable and will last a long time.

This is the chair I got at Staples a few months back. It was clearance floor model so it was $45 vs. the $119.99 they claim to sell it for online. With Staples, I always calculate the true value of their chairs at about half the cost since they usually have them on sale.

Yea, maybe I'll wait then... there could, perhaps, be a better sale. I'm just looking for an old school RPG. Frankly, I'm surprised I didn't own it. I opened Steam expecting it to be in the library and was surprised it wasn't.

Walmart.com doesn't show me but I don't think either of the Walmarts in this area ARE 2 years old so the chances of them having that in their puny PC area is... slim.

 
When Foxhack sent us all on a Walmart scavenger hunt, I stopped by five Walmarts over the course of a day (didn't even have to go much out of my way... there's a LOT of Walmarts) and the PC clearance was absolute shit at every one of them.  Either Motoki-bait grandma games in paper sleeves or stuff like Far Cry 3 "clearanced" from $59.99 to $56.99.  Oh, and this gem I found.

I can assure you I only bought it to "Bring a touch of classic, mid-century charm to your office space" and the ease of cleaning is only an added, secondary benefit. I do like the color though and it hasn't had a problem supporting my husky frame. Initially, I had concerns about back support but it forces me to sit upright more and I haven't had any back issues since using it.

Unfortunately, adult duties call this Saturday and I have to head out to buy some parts to fix a couple of leaky faucets and other random crap around the house.

That is the chair I definitely pictured you in Fox I don't why. Almost forgot about SD I try to stay away from them like the cesspool here unless I want a good laugh but I have already find some good things to look out for in Staples thanks.
