I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

Nah, I actually want to play it and hopefully other Fakeybros can show up. I figure it'll be much more fun with a group of us getting stuck in the mud than just me spinning my tires for 5 minutes and then rage quitting.

Also, Ass Creed Syndicate is a 52 GB DL on Uplay, though you can at least start playing it once the first 10GB or so DL.  I had to spend $500 extra in internet fees to DL it so it better be good.  MysterD might want to consider buying a backwards compatible Xbone to play it, then he could buy the retail disc and also play all the stuff he's always wishing came to PC.

I think he already has it. Probably offered some sort of favor for it, cause he's a dirty rotten sonofabitch. I guarantee it involved european trucks filled with bad things.

I gave it to him because I figured he'd play it (and I think he is). I've given it away to a few other CAGs as well (Fox, Syntax Error, and rcsample). I'd give away more shit on here but honestly people bitch too much (one of the reasons LN stopped doing it as well).

Now that you mention it I think I do recall his name coming up as playing it when I logged into Uplay at some point.

I finally got my $15 GC from Best Buy for calling in to CSR and doing my Idiotekque impersonation so you bros need to find me that $50 mechanical keyboard now. BB price matches some places so that's always a possibility too as long as they sell in store.

No thanks (on buying a XB1). I had no problem w/ DL'ing both AC:U and AC:S, back when I did.

AC Syndicate runs MUCH better & looks better technically than AC Unity - not that I was having any trouble w/ AC: Unity or anything. AC:S is also a much-much-much better game than Unity.

My thoughts on AC:S so far are here:

I certainly appreciated this - as I dropped ACU for AC:S.

AC:U just isn't in AC:S's league.

Nah, AC:U is still technically better, like the textures, character animations and the lighting. Even DigitalFoundry did a video on AC:S and said it's been slightly downgraded to get more performance. Still impressive looking though.

Anyone know of some good cheaper computer speakers?

I cannot run either at maximum settings that I'd be happy with (i.e. above 30 FPS and stable) - so that could definitely be what DigitalFoundry's driving at. I'm going to have to look at this vid - thanks for pointing that out.

Both AC:U and AC:S here are pretty much set around the High to Ultra ballpark on most settings w/ some other settings here tweaked to a Custom setting of mine at 1080p on my rig (i7 950; 4GB GTX 960; 16GB RAM; Win 7 64-bit). I have both happily (for me) around 40-50 FPS.

I'll take some screens w/ the settings for both AC:U + AC:S that I run them at.

EDIT:

I have ACU set at: 1080p; Ultra High for Environment + Texture Quality; Shadow Quality at High; AO is set at SSAO; AA is at FXAA; Bloom is On; VSync is Off.

I have ACS set at: 1080p; Environments at Very High; Textures + Shadows both at High; AO at HBAO+; AA at FXAA.

5.1? 7.1? Just plain stereo? Sub or no?

I ordered these a while ago, mostly because I needed speakers that were short enough to fit under a monitor and wanted a sub for some added oomph, and have been absolutely amazed at how decent they are for the price. Plus the blue led light on them is pretty cool in the dark. Shut up.

 
My apologies to my Steam friends who I just spam invited to my Hermanobros group.  It was for a giveaway (which you can try to join too) and some of the prizes include Just Cause 3, GTA V, and NBA 2K16. They also post some glitches sometimes.

I think Max Payne 3's environments are more colorful, since Brazil is the main setting in the game. While the game does sometimes take place in the USA (in Jersey) as flashbacks, the game is mostly in Brazil - so most of the areas have more usage of an actual color palette.

In the older MP games (Max Payne 1+2) - the settings there are often very dark, grimy, drab, and gritty - often taking place in run-down clubs, warehouses, police stations, and other things of that sort.

Gunplay for all of the games are very similar - it's just tons of fun and the gunplay's very precise. You have bullet-time at your side, shoot enemies, and the game path is very linear. If that sounds like fun to you - you really should play MP3. Gameplay-wise, it ain't much different from MP1+2.

Personally, I loved all 3 games.
