That's the plan, I'm back on the hunt today and there's a couple of pretty sweet jobs that opened up in the past two weeks in Portland. I'd love to move to the Twin Cities but I'm not baller enough for those fucking winters. Minneapolis has a really good vibe and a lot of fun stuff to do though, I really like it there.

They're segmented and siloed enough like a lot of the consulting arms of the big companies that you generally get paid shit for doing one little thing for several different companies unfortunately. And with all the rigidity of a major corporation! I'll miss my insanely flexible schedule when I don't have it anymore.

It's good actually, they completely lied to me to get me to take this job. I just hired my replacement so I can leave them guilt free and with a clean conscience. In truth the acquisition probably won't close until 2H '06 and it'll take them a year just to figure out which end is the ass. but the news of the acquisition has likely completely fucked my plans of moving since no department is taking in strays now and all projects that were planned for this year have essentially been put on indefinite hold.

Damn, I see why you wish you had stock. That is a huge premium to pay over the current market.

Im gradually getting more worried about potential shake outs from the recent buy out that happened here too. I expect massive layoffs because of so much overlap in the dark side jobs (sales, marketing, finance, HR, etc...). Now there are rumors that they will hit engineering based on projects as well. Issue with that is I am a guy that works on CPE equipment in a head end org now. I had already talked about possibly moving back to the old group I worked with before that might have put my name top of the list since what do they care if I am going to move. The old boss wants me back, but cant do anything without an opening and if there really are going to be layoffs there wont be any openings until afterwards.

I hate when I turn into the right turn lane to pull out of a parking lot, and then a big ass truck pulls up next to me in the left turn lane and parks as far forward as possible so I can't see any of the oncoming traffic from the left. You're in a damn tall ass truck and can easily see over the top of my car for traffic coming from the right, you don't need to pull that far forward.

 
Runner 2 on ps4 will be cool. Should get a plat cuz it's awesome.

Unepic looks good too. Just came out on xbox so glad the ps4 version is already almost ready to go.

Corporations that large typically do not have employees just in one place.

The company I work for now is in a LOT of states. Not to mention a relatively large size office in Shenzhen, China. They are officially out of the UK now due to an inversion they did during the buy-out but the HQ is here in North Georgia.

Thats a good one! I have a tendency to try to stay in front of big vehicles so I dont get stuck behind them. That way I can see whats going on up ahead. So I tend to cutoff a lot of trucks and they sometimes get mad and high beam me. Oh well.

yep, I don't know if they even have much more than a small office in MA. the IT side is mostly in Atlanta, San Diego, some city in the UK and here in Kansas. And like five other cities. it's bizarrely decentralized considering how few people there are.

 
Star Wars PS4 bundle getters:

Do the 4 extra Star Wars games come via individual codes, or all on one code?  And if the latter, I imagine if I already have one of the games, that shouldn't hinder the redemption of the other 3, right?

Well yeah, I just didn't realize he worked for a larger place already. My wife works at a company that has offices in over a dozen states but they also have an employee count in the thousands.

I'd prefer the Star Wars bundle because of the PS2 games and Battlefront. No real interest in CoD whatevertheyareon 3 or the Uncharted collection since I've played the first two and have 3 on Plus. But if nothing else I can sell that code.

oh man, got some decisions to make. I sold my ToS Chronicles physical copy and Tales of Xillia without playing them. These prices are hard to pass up.

If you get the uncharted bundle id be interested in it, I think its disc though and not a code.

Probably going to trade my physical ToS Chronicles to GS and grab the digital copy. Kinda hard to pass that up. 

 
Doesn't look like there is anything that interests me on sale as usual.

The one that did jump out was Touch My Katamari being under $4.  I have already played it due to Gamefly, but that is the cheapest I recall it ever being unless it was one of those games that went clearance at Target and I did not know.

Crypt of the Necrodancer has a 10% launch discount for Plus ($13.49 after discount). Don't know if that was new information. Was kind of thinking/hoping Not a Hero would have one too since Roll7 seem to be pretty chummy with Sony. No such luck (it's $12.99)

Is it any good? Interested in it at that price point.

I'm also considering ditching my physical copy of Battlefront for the digital version. At $29.99 it would almost be an even swap.

I haven't decided on digimon either. Keep going back and forth on it lol. I'm probably going to use GS credit on it though, so I may as well grab the digital vita copy since it'll be cheaper, and there's no discount for the physical PS4 copy through them.
